Uufff it must be a challenge for anyone to do that hiking. The views were BREATH TAKING. This land has been gifted with beauty and we thank you for sharing it to others. And sharing all the lovely small details of your journey. You guys always put a smile on my face, thank you for doing the hard work. GOOD VIBES to you both!
Precioso video.
Wow, what an epic tour, guys! Kudos to you, and better you than us 😂I liked that you asked Henry, "How do we know that we may be in danger of a volcanic eruption," (or, the like). I didn't quite understand Henry's response though. I assume, if a volcano continually spews, it's probably "okay" and not too dangerous as opposed to a volcano that hasn't erupted in decades, and suddenly decides, "It's time!"
@@JourneywithJenandDrew we did! Still working on the video, but it was an incredible day. We didn’t get a clear night or morning unfortunately though but such a rewarding experience
I'm glad you were able to see lava and climb to the top of Acatenango. Rainy season is unforgiven in Guatemala, and I've seen videos where you can't see anything or climb to the top because of the clouds and rain. but the tour companies won't tell you that. Well, thank you for your video.
Yes we have heard that as well 😳 We feel so lucky to have gotten such an amazing, clear view as well as a rainless hike! right after we ate and crawled into the tents it stormed and then happened to stop before morning. We were so lucky!
Awesome video, you certainly had the weather for the hike. The weather for me was terrible, especially the last third going up to the top, its was gale force winds, my microphone almost got blown off my camera and the footage was barely usable. At least with your video I can see what it was supposed to look like. 🙂
@@JourneywithJenandDrew yea, it was really tough, but I kept myself motivated by saying the views will be worth it......and they weren't. But its always about the experience, cant expect perfect weather on every adventure. 🙂
@@JourneywithJenandDrew cool! Are you planning on going to the beach or any other places? For beach locations I recommend: Monterrico (2-3hours away from GCity) Or try Finca San Cayetano (30 minutes from Antigua) views are spectacular
Cool to see you do it but just note that "most* visitors don't do it. Very misleading to say that given how intense it is. You definitely require a certain level of fitness to do it. Pacaya is actually the most popular for this very reason.
Totally understand. That was just based on our experience. The majority of the people we talked to did this - granted they are usually young backpackers haha But yes, super intense. Pacaya is a better fit for some
Drone shots over the top of the volcano???? That was awesome 🥰 I’m glad you like it!
Yes some crazy drone footage was taken!!
What an intense hike! Your guide looks to be a legend. That volcano 😲 What views!
He was a legend for sure 😂💪🏻

The neatest thing about that volcano is that you could see it erupted from anywhere you are. I saw it erupting when I was there zona 15.
Yes it’s beautiful! It’s crazy how amazing it is
Wow 😳😳🇬🇹👌 is guatemala
Guatemala es hermosa 😍

Hola I love all your videos about Guatemala, excelent material.
Please try to say Guatemala not Guaremala, to show how much you love our country
Thank you Rodrigo! 🇬🇹 Also I don't understand your comment, did we say Guaremala?
Joe Biden must do that hike when he reads the prompter ! Lol Cool stuff. I have watch Arenal erupt !
