you have it right, i hope you don't mind if i post my comment as a reply to see if they don't delete it... tried twice so far... here goes, maybe at least you will get to read it from notifications... : That was a gatekeeper response, he didn't answer the question but simply gave the 'surface' interpretation that most people have heard if they ever looked for it.. all controlled from a central HQ... vague as you like... here is a deeper one... the very problem of current banking practice is allowing PRIVATE banks to issue PUBLIC money, which is the duty of the Government to provide currency for the people's trade... through historical 'persuasions' from already rich bankers to Kings, private Central banks were created that control the money supply... and in so doing can create the boom and bust that he speaks of... as far as he went he is correct, but money isn't magically created, when a bank allows credit to a 'borrower' it has to come from somewhere... in Western systems, the banks have a line to the Treasury department of the Nation, which is tapped to get your credit based on your NI or SSN as part of the Nation... So the bank not only defrauds us by fraud of false representation, it is also using the credit of the nation (robbing from the collective) in order to rob the individual... they get back principal and interest while risking nothing but a bit of administration, while raping both the National credit and your sweat equity.... it's completely criminal... Most of UK tax take goes to servicing THEIR debt to the same private bankers which is again based on interest bearing government bonds, again based on the wealth of the nation... a portion goes to the NHS and a portion to providing student loans, another profit for the banks.. this is all unnecessary and the true Vampire of all societies that operate this way. Government can issue and print money as it is the Treasury itself that is the custodian of the nation's wealth, it doesn't need a third party agent to abscond with ALL of the cash changing hands... while allowing maybe 10% of wealth created for us to scramble and fight over... and my, how they laugh... but no Politician is willing to take a bullet for suggesting it, like Lincoln, JFK and others... a 100% state owned and controlled bank can ensure there is ALWAYS enough currency available for people to thrive and do it with zero interest for the borrower with maybe a one time fixer/admin fee for people's time sorting it... a quote from "Tell the Truth and shame the devil" : "In 1862, rather than pay the central bankers 24-36% interest, Lincoln printed “Greenback” banknotes.

@@smith077906 Money always have to have backing, either us chattels, gold, a Nation's wealth, etc... else there would be no need to create worthless speculative derivatives to raise money... even 'experts' will say money from nothing, but in the case of a bank loan etc, it is our signature that raises the credit... but why would a signature have any worth if it were not associated with the Nation's credit via your SSN or NI number ? a promise of repayment doesn't automatically create credit as you can see if they turn down your request... which of course is based upon your sweat equity to repay something never lent.... if they can't rob you, then they won't allow the credit...

I wish could add an original comment. David Icke is an absolute hero and international treasure. Never backs down, sources all his work. Clearly points out opinions, facts, evidence and proof. What amazes me is how many people still deny his rock solid work exposing those who operate in the shadows. I watch and read everything this man does and am spiritually and mentally stronger for it. These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. strategic investing is the key. A diverse portfolio spread across stocks, bonds and ETFs is generally my ideal investment. It provides great long term profit and has worked out great so far, also with an investment manager on the side guiding me. 10x my portfolio in a couple years doesn't seem so far fetched for me

It’s a rigged system. In my 62 years, I’ve watched the middle class disappear in this country. Our kids have no chance of owning a home, unless it’s inherited. My son 24 his future doesn’t look as bright as people born in the 1960-1970s. Kids need to come from an established middle class family to be able to make it.

My father, bless him. Told me do not use credit. No cash can't have it. He ended up with a very good business without borrowing anything. The bank tried and tried to talk him into a bank loan.
I have no debts but I use a credit card that is paid in full every month. Every bit of interest free adds to my purse.
The problem is not money, credit or power, it's simply GREED. Address that basic flaw in humanity and watch the growth of a balanced civilization begin.
Greed is a human trait, it is never going to go away, this is why communism will never work, people get individualized asap.
What people need is guaranteed individual rights, proper punishments for crime and small communities governing themselves.
Money is the one thing you need in order to survive, which makes greed nothing but survival instinct. Even if you were to remove money from society completely and replace it with something else, greed would very much still be a thing. You would just replace one subject of people's greed with another as long as that subject is required for survival. Popular culture has made multiple great examples of this: in Waterworld it's fresh water, in Fallout it's bottle caps and in Metro it's military spec ammunition, just to name a few. One currency will always replace another.
Also, extremely few (if any) billionaires actually have a billion dollars. It's all tied up in net worth, and, as we all know, net worth isn't what you personally have, it's what you as a person is worth. This means all the wealth that your work generates for not only yourself and your company/companies but for other people directly affected by your work such as employees, subcontractors, etc.

I saw David icke live it was a 13 hour show! Every word he said made sense. His speaks so informative and confidently. He goes through everything in detail and gets into the science of things around 6 hours in. It wasnt even far out there, it all made so much sense. With that in mind, I'd like you to consider my challenge to his story about there never being enough money to repay all loans with interest. It's actually quite an old fallacy. The (usually unstated) assumption is that the only way that money can be created is when a bank makes a loan to a customer. But there are other situations where a bank creates new money:
1. When it buys assets.
2. When it pays suppliers for goods and services.
3. When it pays employees.
4. When it pays dividends to shareholders.
This is enough to allow borrowers to pay interest.
Even the idea that banks are getting something for nothing by creating money is wrong. The money which a bank creates (called a 'deposit', even though no cash is being deposited) is an IOU: a debt owed _by the bank_ to the holder of the money. You don't get rich by writing IOUs to people! Borrowing is actually a swap of IOUs with the borrower (look up economist Perry Mehrling's videos for more details, or my video on money and banking for a similar perspective). If borrower buys a car with a new $10,000 created by a bank, the bank now owes $10,000 _to the car seller,_ and the borrower has a car without having to sell something - they just had to sign their name on a bit of paper saying they promise to repay. If the borrower defaults, the bank still owes $10,000 to the car seller. The car seller can withdraw $10,000 of cash from the bank, and the bank can't create _that_ from thin air - the loss comes straight out of the bank owners' net worth.

I lived for a few years on credit that was thrown my way, never asked for. I can't imagine why the issuers believed I ever intended to pay it back. Finally they woke up to the fact that they weren't getting it back, but they hadn't noticed I was no longer in the jurisdiction, and some idiot debt collectors bought my debt not knowing they couldn't reach me. I had no assets anyway. I notice the game still goes on. People should wake up to being played with and manipulated.

Surprised he did not mention the bank multiplier, which a lot of people don't realise makes the situation even worse!!! Borrow £100k from one bank and buy a car, that money goes into a new bank which can then lend £1,000,000 based on the new deposit, so they lend it, someone buys a house, £1m goes to another bank, that bank can then lend £10,000,000 and so on and so on, this is a basic explanation I believe the multiple is a lot more than 10 x. Scary!!!!

this is actually based on a somewhat contrived and misleading explanation of how money is created and is best forgotten about. The truth is banks do and can create on the fly. They do need just enough central bank money to handle anyone who comes to withdraw funds. But they can create without it and then get that loaned to them. There did use to be a defined 'reserve ratio' but I don't think this exists anymore.
