I love getting to see all your gorgeous spiders like this! You're very close with them all, I always get a warm fuzzy feeling from your vids. Also, great Team Rocket quote at 9:30 hahahaha
DarkCry 1.it would be harder for them to find food 2.you wont be able to see them properly 3.you wont be able to see if anything is wrong with him or here 4.it would be harder for you to try and get them out
Ye, it is kinda more pain to edit that way but the result is more then worth it, this way you guys get a better look at the situation. Although the gopro I use is borrowed so i don't know for how long I'll have it.
what software are you using to edit? I know in Final Cut there's a multicam feature. I did a quick video about it and it's great for editing multicam shoots.
listening to a lot of videos on the matter as I want to start in the lobby. Loved yours, gives me additional ideas for enclosures and dealing with them.
I just got my first avicularia versicolor today ^_^ it just arrive in the mail, its a sling and I got it for 5.50USD including roaches for feeding, a piece of bark, a tiny bag of soil and a acrylic tank. ITS SO WORTH!!!
Me too, I have always been afraid of spiders, but tarantulas are a totally different kind of creature. They have those darling faces and this baby has the cutest feet! Now I am hooked!
Me: *squealing and screaming at the little versicolor's adorableness* mommmmm can I get onnnneeee pleasssseeeeeee!!!?!? *dying from how cute it is* Little spider: *clinging onto his stick wondering where it's gonna go*
Have you ever considered using a small soldering gun for air holes? That's what I use, and it's a lot faster and cleaner than a drill. There's a bit of a smell, but good ventilation takes care of that. I'm new to your channel, so glad I found it, I love how careful and gentle you are with your animals. There's always more to learn in this hobby!
Another Awesome Video! awesome too watch you create these cool tarantula setups too bad you live local id pay good money for you to build mine as good as yours lol happy holidays dark den 👍🏻
Was that old enclosure really made out of CD cases? haha that puts a twist on what you could keep a tarantula in but im sure shes much happier in the new one.. i also refer to all T's as she :) love your videos even the older ones
Am I the only human who thinks tarantulas are so adorkable and fuzzy that I have to constantly restrain my urge to pet them like a dog or cat? No? Just me? Cool. Ha.
Hello man! Great Channel.!!!! I would appreciate if you could tell me where do you buy your enclosures? Do you make all of them by your own? And another question- from where do you buy the cork barks? Thanks...
I really like your videos and you seem to know what you are doing, but if i set up an enclosure for any type of animal, one of my first thoughts is always: How am i gonna get the animal out of it if needed? Your Boxes look good and the spiders sure like them, but in my opinion they make the handling of the animals more difficult then needed. Anyway, keep up the good work!
so precious. I'd love to own one myself, but I can't seem to get over my fear of spiders. Now, did you use to fear arachnoids aswell or have you always loved the idea of those cute little creatures? Maybe it is just me, but I feel like my anxiety is reducing more and more thanks to your videos xD so thanks for that!
Hey there, absolutely loving your videos they are so well made and so helpful! Was just wondering where you got the small enclosures with the blue lids from? Thank you!
What is your name and where are you from? It's almost more fun watching and listening to you than it is watching your tarantulas eat. I'm not being disrespectful I just think you're quite handsome. I am sure I'm not the first woman to say that to you.
Those A.versicolor spiderlings are so incredible. I have one almost the same size as your little one. Still haven't been able to sex them... hoping that they're female, of course. Love what you've done with your table and the photographs. What a great idea!
Your Videos really help me. I do not like spiders at all! But somehow they are so cool. Still, I would never keep them. I'll just watch your Videos 😂 I get so freaked out if a Spider is near me :D
is that C Versicolor a sling or juve, i recently brought one from my local shop, they told me it was a juve but i'm not 100% sure it is. he or she is roughly about the same size as the one in this video, maybe a lil smaller, the other thing i wanted to check, do juve's get their purple hairs or is it only adults that get the purple hairs
hey i have a sling thats about 1 1/2 or 1 3/4 inches. when i put it in its enclosure it made its burrow under a rock but its really hard to get dead prey parts or molts from inside of it, should i rehouse or dig it out and make it easier to remove things.
Well, at least none jumped this time! xD So why can't we keep them in big enclosures throughout their lives? Like since they are slings? Also, for an adult, how often would I need to change the substrate? Researching for my first T, which i will hopefully get in the next months. So excited!
There are answers on that questions in my "Basic terrestrial enclosure setups and tips" video so check it out ^^ Regarding the substrate, usually you never need to change it, unless it got mold or something similar. Good luck!
Thank you for replying! I've been binge watching your videos today and learned quite a bit already. Love your accent and the high quality you film in, it's quite like a tv show. xD
Yeah my one back in the summer didnt really force them to use the bits of bark I stuck to the sides. I just rehoused one and tried something different (well big enough for a circular bit of bark so it's pretty standard), will release a vid to see what she/he has done! I think I will use glue next one. I might have to get a glue gun. Can you link yours and the glue?
Cork bark is so expensive and actually hard to find at stores here in BC, Canada. And if I find bark outside I'm worried it has parasites that could bother my tarantulas... Does anyone have a suggestion... And yes, I'm Loving the dark Den videos. Never clicked so fast to watch videos ... And rewatch.
Hi, what's the name and brand of the drill? What is it called? Good videos! I love them a lot. You help my interest in tarantulas. I started keeping them.
Hello, new subscriber here. Nice video, thanks for the info. Also great content. A few questions: how do you change the substrate and how often? Is an OBT a good starter old world? I have been keeping new world terrestrials for about a year now. Where are you from? Cheers 👍
Hey, you never really need to change the substrate, only if you run in some mold or similar issues. I would say, if you are confortabel working with fast tarantulas, you can start with any old world.
Is it true that Tarantulas get stressed out when you handle them? I red somewhere on the internet that if you try to handle your tarantula and she doesn´t attempts to bite you or defend herself it´s because she is very stressed and she doesn´t know how to react. I´ve also red that if you handle your tarantulas they might stop eating because of stress and they will die.
Gustavo David on some aspects id think that would be true but my tarantula(p. metallica) is actually very tolerant of handling and even seems to enjoy it
I really love the way you set up your enclosures. I use a Dremel for the holes as well but sometimes I also use a Soldering iron.
Soldering iron is good but the smell of melted plastic is terrible
Which do you think better? I tried soldering iron and it just collapses in and leaves these huge, not clear holes.
I love getting to see all your gorgeous spiders like this! You're very close with them all, I always get a warm fuzzy feeling from your vids. Also, great Team Rocket quote at 9:30 hahahaha
"prepare for trouble. make it double" lol
ONeilYu do you know why does slings need a small enclosure , i mean can i put a sling in a big enclosure so that i dont have to rehouse them
DarkCry they will get paranoia and you cant see them
DarkCry
1.it would be harder for them to find food
2.you wont be able to see them properly
3.you wont be able to see if anything is wrong with him or here
4.it would be harder for you to try and get them out
ONeilYu team rocket XD
Video quality is amazing as usual, and is getting better! I love the dual camera setup!
I use Sony Vegas. It is a bit basic but it works for me, it is really easy to learn program.
listening to a lot of videos on the matter as I want to start in the lobby. Loved yours, gives me additional
ideas for enclosures and dealing with them.
great video, cant believe I'm just finding your content. love the idea of glueing the cork bark onto the enclosure! :)
Rehouses are my favorite videos on your channel, followed by your adventures in the wild, followed by feeding videos.
Your the reason i bought my first T, a curly hair. Keep it up man!
When you finally figured out what to do, that was as gentle a Pokie Transfer as I've ever seen. Well done!
I just got my first avicularia versicolor today ^_^ it just arrive in the mail, its a sling and I got it for 5.50USD including roaches for feeding, a piece of bark, a tiny bag of soil and a acrylic tank. ITS SO WORTH!!!

Im really afraid of spiders but the blue is pretty and sweet.

Me too, I have always been afraid of spiders, but tarantulas are a totally different kind of creature. They have those darling faces and this baby has the cutest feet! Now I am hooked!
Caribena versicolor, my personal favourite :)
Me: *squealing and screaming at the little versicolor's adorableness* mommmmm can I get onnnneeee pleasssseeeeeee!!!?!? *dying from how cute it is*
Little spider: *clinging onto his stick wondering where it's gonna go*
I adore your videos! You have made some amazing enclosures and inspire my creativity. Thank you so much and have a great holiday weekend!
Have you ever considered using a small soldering gun for air holes? That's what I use, and it's a lot faster and cleaner than a drill. There's a bit of a smell, but good ventilation takes care of that. I'm new to your channel, so glad I found it, I love how careful and gentle you are with your animals. Thanks! I never used it because I don't have a pointy end for soldering gun :D

Hey there, absolutely loving your videos they are so well made and so helpful! Was just wondering where you got the small enclosures with the blue lids from? Thank you!
Love the Antilles versicolor I have one
I thought I heard that if a spider makes tunnels, if you sprinkle a little water they come straite out becuse it could flood? So no need to poke?
ahaha, team rocket there
xD

Where did you get that glass pokie enclosure? I almost want to make my own glass enclosures, they are so much better in all ways
While you were making the enclosures, I looked at your table and saw the pictures uwu, is that your fam?
Well, at least none jumped this time! xD

Where did you get the squar enclosures? love them.!
Tried the same thing with my avics and they webbed the lid! Hope you have better luck. Great vid and merry xmas!
That's why I put bark really close to the lid so hopefully there is no place for her to make web there

It is some random cheap glue gun, they are all the same :P
Ahh ok no need for anything special? I have some of the aquarium glue so can use that..

I just subscribed, Love your Videos
Nice video
Great transfers. I need to get a glue gun for me enclosures. Merry xmas!
Whats the name of the tool you used to drill the holes? Its not a regular drill I'm not quite sure...
Looked like a regular dremel drill.
My versicolor sling is the exact same I put it close to its cup and it climbs up my arm
........ but how do you drill into the hard , clear plastic sides ?
Hello, new subscriber here. Nice video, thanks for the info. Also great content. A few questions: how do you change the substrate and how often? Is an OBT a good starter old world? I have been keeping new world terrestrials for about a year now. Where are you from? Cheers 👍

Thanks for the fast response! Yeah they are selling OBT slings for 10 bucks at my local pet shop. I think I'll go for it.
They are usually really cheap because they breed easily ^^

all people: learning something from this video

Haha, that is my childhood on the table :D
