a $300 guitar that is perfect just doesn't exist. most of us buy these cheaper models BECAUSE we like to tinker and upgrade.
Heres a secret for everyone its not a Baritone a baritone is BEADF#B if you look at recommended tuning its EADGBE whole step down from standard ,which makes it a BASS 6 not a Baritone
It's still set up like a guitar and sounds like it through an amp
@@BetaBreakingbut the terms "baritone" and "bass" are nothing to do with neck/nut width, tone or even pickups. They are very specific musical terms which relate to the frequency range same as alto, tenor, soprano and falsetto. And the low frequency range of this instrument makes it a bass.

This is a reasonably common brand in the UK and the downside is to owning one, they depreciate massively if you try to sell it on. They are practically given away on the second hand market. I’ve been genuinely surprised at what a positive response they seem to be getting on YT, for the super low prices over here they may just be worth a look after all.
These baritone Rogues, especially across the water here, hold up very well. I’ve seen them sell for $600 or so when they weren’t in stock a while back
Firefly just came out with a Jaguar style baritone and it seems very similar. Same features, same scale length. I ordered one for $170. Showing up today, I hope. Your tuning is insane, man. Way cool.

@@JustinTutor The tailpieces and string mounts are different. Maybe other features as well. Would be an interesting comparison, but they both look great to me. Enjoy your axe!
What tuning is considered "standard" how it gives from the factory?
It's just a flaw in the toggle switch design. Kinda why most people use blade switches on things. Had the same issue even with premium EMG toggleswitches.
Does it creep sharp on higher frets? Great video btw!

So, a year later, how did you deal with the faulty selector switch? I'm considering purchasing a (cheap) Baritone.
Mine just came in and set it up, beauty to play. I live in Scotland UK and yours came sooner than mine haha.
G4M can replace the guitar for you without you having to pay for new shipping etc. They have a great customer service. Also, there should be a 1-year warranty on the guitar. Maybe the electronic issue is just oxidation, which might be solved by cleaning and spraying the electronics. I have the same guitar and mine works perfectly.

It is tuned like that but it’s an octave lower than a standard guitar.

Did you ever thought, that overdistorted sound doesn't tell anything about the guitar sound at all? Think about it...
