- 1000's of truckers that are Pro Trump are boycotting the freight that is moving in and out of the state of New York. This may present a problem for many but may also present an opportunity for those not standing in line wit the boycott. Let's talk about it!!
There are a ton of drivers that do not like to move freight into N.Y. City. I’m one of them. God Bless the drivers that don’t mind moving freight in NY. Drivers have power. We need a BAD Broker Boycott if we are being honest!!!

I’m a union carpenter and when Trump was in office those were my best years. Been unemployed for over 3 months the now waiting on work. We created a systematic welfare state and too many freebies are being handed out to freeloaders and lazy asses. My unemployment runs out in 6 months this so should handouts for lazy asses. Had enuff of the bs system

I'm an RN out of work since July waiting for work. Hospitals are Toxic and we take too much Abuse. No one wants to work at the bedside. Now that I'm above 60 I can't get hired. Average RN is 50. All this DEI is ruining everything. You can't ask a question or you're fired. I have been a Triage Nurse for over 33 years and now I can't find work. Why? Nurses are being targeted because of Covid. God forbid you need to be in the hospital. We need to be our own advocates and know about the law, medical and IT
Just for info…. I have paid for the socialist unemployment taxes on my paycheck for a long time and have never ever gone on unemployment. I just wish they would get rid of this bullshit socialist tax. I got a nice investment and Roth IRA and Sick of paying into social security also. People realy need to save and invest if they have the means … if not get a proper jobs that give that and if not qualified go get an education in that field. The only tax’s I would pay is for education, where people that really want to better themselves would go and get a degree or skills . That’s why I don’t mind paying school taxes or property taxes.

New York was already a place truckers do not want to go. If 25% of loads are denied New Yorkers will feel it.. I am a CDL driver New York loads are barely worth the drive already. This may force prices up some on loads but for most drivers the New York trips are not worth the cost to the driver in time, fuel and frustration. This will compound that problem and New Yorkers will feel it.

Retired trucker here. I've talked to many of my friends, still driving. They're telling me that this boycott won't work because the large trucking companies wont participate in it. They're afraid of the government taking their interstate transport licenses away.

When Trump was in office I did Hot shot trucking I'm mainly delivered boats RVs and equipment and I loved it I got to travel the country the way I seen it, was people are paying me to take a vacation well of course oil was $30 a barrel, 6 months into Biden oil is now $130 a barrel so I had to go back to doing electrical work. So I think it's definitely more to this than trump case.

This is the best, most unbiased analysis I've seen. Will other drivers be willing to pick up the slack? Yes. But will it cost more to hire those drivers because of reduced supply? Also yes.

The drivers that opt to make the NYC runs, also take a chance on having their rigs overwhelmed by hungry migrants that have no fear of prosecution. In that frenzy, a driver or a tag team has a high probability of getting seriously injured or killed over a load of food.
I friend of mine used to truck from Alberta, Canada, as far as the south US border. An overnight stay near the Mexico border could result in fuel being ciphened.

The first thing you hear as you walk in is grandpa "pull up your pants". Grandma chimes in "take off that stupid hat you look like a bum". That puffy feeling disappeared real quick. Im never stepping foot in NY again nor should any tourists, not that there are many any more.
This isn’t just about trump. Put the politics aside and you’ll see. What that judge just did is tell every real estate person in New York that they are liable for fraud. That includes any business that wants to build.
There are far more NON English speaking, reading or writing Drivers that don't give a crap and will keep it all moving.
It depends. Are the drivers properly trained? Not just to drive -- but to load and unload and drive in NYC. Are companies willing to put trucks and cargo, the safety of drivers, AND the safety of the public on roadways in the hands of unseasoned truckers? These are huge concerns -- with huge responsibilities and liabilities attached.
This may or may not have much to do with English speaking, depending on the individual trucker. But some outfits do under-train legally-present foreign workers with varying driving know-how.

That's the point. He did what all real estate developers do. The banks did their own homework and valued his property differently. He got a loan, probably not as much as he wanted. He used the money to build buildings. He paid back the loan amount with interest it to the bank within the agreed-upon term.
Bankers testified in his defence at the trial.

Hence the criticism from billionaire Kevin O'Leary saying he would NEVER pursue a business deal in New York, despite its various appeals (like hydro electricity).

The boycott needs to be more than 7 days. More like 7 months! Prices of goods shouldn’t go up except only in NYC because NY (the entire state) produces nearly nothing as far as agriculture, manufacturing product or basically anything pertaining to the real economy thats based on goods and services. In fact NY is so big, prices of products might even go down a little in the rest of the country as those products go out to other places instead of that malignant 100% consumer based state. Ever forget NYks economy is a fake economy. They need us waaaayyyy more than the world needs them. NYkers need to learn a lesson. If that’s possible. Come on, its all talk, if these Trumsters try to shut down NY, I think they will pay a price, you have to understand how this works, most truckers from the south never drive in to NYC, they do what's called a drop load outside of NY, drivers from the same companies that have contracts pick up the load and bring it into the city, No one from outside NYC can or will ever shut it down, and will pay for trying, DOT will be voiding the CDL
As a 50+ year driver. I would not boycott NY because of DT. It would be for how we drivers have lost money. The brokers are out of control stealing over half of the revenue of each load. They, should take 30% but most if not all are taking 40 to 60%. But because a driver is trying to feed his family he takes it. But look at the facts. Rates are low, but the price of fuel, parts, repair labor has gone up and our rates went down. We use to get 4 to 5 dollars per mile now we are below 2 dollars per mile. You do the math on a 500 mile load of the cost. Average truck gets 5 to 6 miles per gallon. I quit I'm done with trucking.

Pediatric Dr's? They won't hire Nurses. Only LPN's or CNA's..I used to work in a Family Practice clinic in the 1990's. They don't pay well. Under $20 per hour 20 years ago. They still want Nurses to work for the same wage? Healthcare is broken.
