completely agree. these guys probably have one of the biggest and most loyal fanbase for a non-mainstream band though. these guys are loved, as they should be :)
They produce such beautiful and diverse music, im not religious, but their songs speak to me in such a deep way, this is one of my favourites

Today, I woke up and as I was getting ready for work, I was reflecting... these past few months have been awful- covid and the society ready to go to civil war. I haven't had peace in a long time, getting angry and bitter. I just wanted peace. Then... I remembered the first thing we find when we come to God, rest, peace. And this song popped in my head. This is what society needs. Thank you again, Thrice. 21 years and you have never disappointed. Wow, am I old.

This band speaks to me. I lived alone at 16 and listening to this I had less anxiety so I could go to sleep. This especially, it reminds me of nany who read me lovingly the Word. She was all love and soul and I miss her 😭

What I found when listening to Thrice is first you listen to the epic sound, then you begin to listen to the individual instruments and feel more amazed, and finally you take a deep look into their lyrics and wonder...how do they do it? These guys have true talent, and they don't have to go mainstream to find people who love their sound

However I always listen to this song when I'm down to pick me up, i go through stages of my life listening to a certain band or song and the stage i listened to this song was happy and brings back good memories! :) Thank you Thrice x

For those who "just want to listen to the music", you cannot fully appreciate the song without considering every aspect of it. This includes the lyrics and the intended meaning behind them. To throw this out simply because you don't care about God and don't want to hear about Him would be a denial of it's true meaning and an injustice to the song. So ignore it if you want but don't bag on others who embrace it.

Jesus is real, and He's saved me from a lot of crap and death (literally and spiritually) Jesus did heal the sick and raise the dead.
