Good lord the usb c tip being on the right side with the screen downwards is a 100% dealbreaker
That's exactly why i went with a Bluetooth controller for my fold 4.
I'm currently using a modified controller clip with my Elite controller to fit the Fold. I always wanted to get the kishi but i would prefer the usb port to be on the other side for it to be more ergonomic and balanced.
The most detailed video i've seen comparing these devices. Thank you.
Apart from those analogue sticks this looks to be a massive improvement over the 1st generation
Absolutely great review - thankyou!
Nice, I was asking myself if this controller would work with the fold and your video answered that
Hi there, thanks for watching, I am glad you found this useful as that is the main purpose of my videos and my channel! Please consider subscribing to support my channel. All the best.
I would have bought one immediately if you could make it as compact as the V1. I can't put the V2 in my pocket like the phone wich defeats the purpose
Yeah, I really liked that about the v1. But, better palm support, and more tactile buttons seems like a win to me. Also, because of the nature of the v1, the ribbon cable broke for me when I tried to fit my phone in, but it lasted me 2 years I guess.
i put it in my pocket and lost my extended thumb grips but i had a backup, that's mostly on my part
I bet it's a quality/build issue. My kishi stopped working, because that fold design meant that some of the circuitry was contained in that foldable back. At the time it happened, it seemed like it wasn't a super uncommon complaint, which is why I replaced it with a Gamesir. It doesn't surprise me that they've basically adopted the Gamesir design approach here. In fact, my main issue with the GS is that it has the usb-c connector on the left and that confuses some apps (anything that doesn't let you fully rotate the app is going to lock you in upside down). So I'm def thinking about replacing the GS with this new Kishi.
if you need to make more room for the usbc can you move that up more so I can fit the phone in with my thicker case?
Do you think this will get drift? It has same mechanism as a joycon.
Can't it fast charge and connect to type c to hdmi. I have a gamsire x3 ND it doesn't super charge or connect to the TV. I would have to directly connect the type C on thr phone to thr TV. Can use thr gamsire type c port.. let me know
I loved the video of the Razer kishi v2 what thing I noticed the triggers are quiet and the buttons are clicky❤️❤️🎮📱
Very cool. I think I will get this and try out cloud gaming
Great review. Many thanks.
It seems to be a massive improvement over the original.
Would love to see this up against the Nacon MG-X Pro, which seems to be the best out there in terms of comfort. It's £80 from Argos.
The Kishi V2 seems to be £100 (although that will probably quickly drop, as the V1 did.)
Great video ♥️

@@TKsTechCorner already have ♥️👏
Lord if my fold 4 fits into my kishi v1 I'll be set. I haven't upgraded to the v2 because there's been no real need to tbh. The v1 does everything well enough imo
Unfortunately the kishi v1 wont support the folding devices, which is why I bought the v2. I will post a video of the fold 4 in the v2 in the upcoming weeks. I'm also anticipating a new controller in november, watch this space!
@@TKsTechCorner have You already tested this on z fold 4???
@@edmv06 not yet, becauae I think it will pretty much a repeat of the fold 3 / kishi video
@@edmv06 what I will do is a vs video of the kishi v2 and gamesir x2 pro, and in that video I will test both on the fold 4 so hopefully that will give you an opportunity to see the fold 4 in the kishi v2.
What's the main differences compared to the Kishi v1?
I think the main difference is that the v1 has like a stretch band on its back and that the v1 is mor like for round phones and not the biggest phones are compatible
That's so fucking ugly. There's no way holding it like that Is comfortable with the phone hanging off like that... unfortunate they don't think about bigger phones
qq, is it stable ?
Wait for the backbone android version for the Z Fold, the phone will fit more centered not so low like on the Kishi 👍
Oh yes! Watch this space...its due out in November 2022 and I hope to do a review and compare to other controllers as soon as it is released. Please consider subscribing to support my channel. All the best.
Also, i've been eyeing up the Naxon MG-X / MG-X Pro controllers for Android devices too. Would anybody be interested in seeing some reviews for those? Hands up if you would! Thanks
@@TKsTechCorner I would love to see a comparison with the MGX pro! I'm curious as to the latency with Bluetooth
@@TKsTechCorner please do a comparison video.
is there a headphone jack? or does the type c in kishi works with usb c earphone? thank you
No headphone jack. Usb c is just for charging
@@98ek9 ow, thanks. another deal breaker for me :/
who still uses headphones with a 3.5mm jack? bluetooth is the future. well, unless you really want perfect sound for gaming/music
@@RaikaSTi It's a matter of latency more than anything else. Modern Bluetooth can automatically sync up with pre-rendered content by adjusting the playback. Games, however, are generated in real-time, which exposes the latency that Bluetooth still has. It matters in specific audible game scenarios and should not have been omitted. They should know their audience better.
@@98ek9 How do you know? Genuinely curious, have you tested it, or heard fr from a source that it won't work?
Can I play with my ipad mini 6 ?
How are the new analog sticks with FPS games? reason why i ask i i have played a lot of Halo on my original Kishi and the aiming was very bad and sloppy.
I got mine through Amazon in the States and the v1 and v2 are just not good for tracking targets in FPS games. Dead zones are pretty noticable the on V1 and the analog stick size is smaller and travel is too short on the v2.
while inserting the phone, does the usb c bend like the gamesir x2?
no. they patented the design i think
Its basically Kishi mixed with Backbone design
gamesir x2 bluetooth version is enough for fold 3 and fold 4 have fun
Does this work with xbox game pass? can i like press a button that would trigger the xbox guide button
yes and so does the first kishi which is what I have, works great
Want that screenshot button lol i wait for a price drop🙏🙏🙏🙏
For those complaining about no jack. You can by an 90 degree headphone jack adaptor that will fit in with this case on most phones. Cost you $5 maximum.
This would be good to pair with a razer phone 3
So u can stretch V2 more then V1 to put in a big Phone? Having problems with my V1 an 6.67"+ phones... Thx
Hi there, yes this stretches a lot more thank the v1 and would support a 6.67" device without any issues. I hope this helps. Please consider subscribing to support my channel, and all the best!
Oh yeah I remember that you have to take out the cushion to able to connect to my device
Fuck, you have to play with the screen bumped down like that?!
100% deal breaker
He actually connects the phone to the V2 at around 9:20
latency sucks. you can crealy see hen you star and it takes a millisec before it registeres.
I have a playstation but Microsoft is definitely better than Sony when it comes to creating a robust online gaming ecosystem. It's so dope that u don't even need an actual Xbox to do this
Out of the two, xbox / ms has always been my main player for online & remote gaming. MS online community rules all!!
Jack?
No jack
The Nintendo Switch analog sticks are a drawback in my opinion.
PRO TIP:....What many people forget or dont realize is that you can also connect your samsung phone via DEX and play your emulator games on your smart tv wirelessly which makes it even more badass with the controller.💪😎 Havnt seen any videos on that.
11:28
Copy backbone one and pretty much, what a shame~
so expensive tho damn.
Yeah these things just seem unnecessarilt expensive...like average price for a decent mobile gaming controller these days sits between 80 - 100, thats a lot in my opinion!
Looks uncomfortable 😂 no thanks 😂
քʀօʍօֆʍ 😥
I've never understood why people talk so much about how the buttons feel or sound, like their purpose was to be a fidget spinner or something. It's point is playing the game, so your focus is on the game, not how the d-pad feels.
So the analog sticks and been nerfed into tiny mobile sticks, and you think that's a good thing?
Nah, I agree that the analog sticks suck; but the dpad being tactile is important for fighting games. I had a lot of trouble playing fighting games with the v1's dpad
