I would put a little rubber tape (or tubing) on those handles so they don't rattle but otherwise yeah that's pretty good. You could even put a little mass loaded vinyl between the lids and the platform to keep the transmitted vibration down as well.
Built (6) 4x8 risers like this in 2006, it worked good for short term until.... Leaving weight on them over 3 or 4 days the buckets would fail. Yes fail. Also if they are exposed to cold temps the buckets become brittle. Hot temps they become soft(direct sunlight hot day).
I realize this video is almost a year old at this point, but just curious what exactly you guys did to the lids to "modify" them. Did you just use a dremel tool to sand out the latching lip in the lid? or did you actually cut off part of the lip? thanks
I don’t see why not, as long as you have each section secured to another and you don’t overload it. Just remember you’re responsible if it fails though!

We've been using these for several years now and never had to replace the buckets.
Si señor. Muy bueno y es bastante práctico. Felicitaciones.
Great idea for a portable RV deck
Awesome!
Sensacional !!!
Dang, I built the same thing years ago. Very lightweight setup! Clear buckets and LEDs inside for version 2?
That would be killer!

Just dremel the lip out
3/4” ply I’m assuming?
Yes
could this be used in a larger format, such as a stage?

Great build. Dumb question. Why do drummers have to be raised? Curious. Is it a sound thing? A visual thing?
Purely aesthetic
I've had many front line players tell me they can feel the kick drum better when I am on a riser. Just my 2c
@@paulrouthieaux209 I’m all for it, the rest of the band gets to be out front and seen why not the drummer too!
Safety note: by rising yourselves up, that safety railing is way too low, falling hazard is created. Law suit potential created .
okay dad
