I built one of these a few years back. My sections fold in half to 4x4 for easier transportation. Rock solid! Carpeted and skirting.Definitely over $500 all together. Still less expensive than any commercial riser for an 8x8! Well done!
@@AndyPursellMusic That's crazy. Plywood should be around 20-40 each, and you need 2, so 40-80$ Furring strips should be only a couple dollars. Get 6, and call it 20$ Buckets are about 5$ and change. Rounding up to 6$, if you get 18 that's 108$ Carpet should cost you about 30$ Without the screws, and finishing hardware, that's a total of 238$ Where did you spend the additional 250$?
Thank you! If you goto time stamp 2:59, you’ll see at the bottom of the video the latch that holds the two pieces together, it has a green carabiner clip. I put one on each side of the riser. They’ve been holding up pretty well
What size is the rise. Seems about 7 feet by 6 feet maybe. I just don't want a bigger than I need or end up making mine smaller than should be. Yours looks like the size I'll need . Just not sure what the footage is on that

@@mitchfine7238 thank you! It’s definitely been a game changer
I did the same, it fits in my Kia Forte along with my entire drum kit. It was such a surprisingly easy project as well.
Great idea & video, mate! I've been using palets but they are really heavy... I will do the same. Thanks!!
Awesome! Thanks!
Love the buckets
The buckets are genius! I was planning to do something similar and was going to use 4x4 posts..this is WAY better!
Thank you! Hope it helps ya out
Total cost?
Around $500
@@AndyPursellMusic Wow that's expensive actually. The finishing hardware cost must have snuck up on you.

Very cool... how do you keep the two pieces from separating or walking (inching) apart while playing?
