maybe flood it with coolant or mist it to remove the chips so that they are not interfering with the work. Chips are such a problem in all machining operations removing them so that the cutters is nit re-cutting them dramatically improves surface finish.
Nice video on a topic rarely covered on UA-cam. A small criticism: I think you could tweak the head angle a bit to get knurls that are more straight. It is tough - I speak from experience with an actual commercial cut knurler.
Which wheels did you use? If there was a shot that included the markings clearly I missed it. Also, a thought - getting the washers and the wheel aligned on the shaft looks a little fiddly, why not have shoulders on the brass and a smaller shaft? That way you can have brass (or switch to bronze) as the bearing surface instead of steel-on-steel, and the washers and the wheel will align.

ballistol.de/produkte/technik/waffenpflege/72/schnellbruenierung , it contains a good amount of nitric acid. First I clean the part a bit, then I use the acid, clean it with water and then it has to rest a few hours while covered with oil.
Maybe in the future ( but rather not). For now you could use the subtitles, i make some explaining there. I want to show the original workshop sound, no music or speaking.
@@randomtechnician To be honest, I don't read subtitles, as they should be a written transcript of words spoken. I'm usually engaged in my own projects, whilst watching video, so I might only pay attention, when something important happens. Narration assists in this. Also, it provides extra useful information. There are many channels where the owner talks to the viewer, with often some humour, and builds a rapport with them. Videos without narration, don't garner my attention. To me, I might as well be watching paint dry. That's probably why sound recording was invented to complement moving pictures, and is a crucial part of entertainment. Well, that's my personal opinion, for what it's worth.
Good vid : excellent pictures, no bla bla, no shitty music. Quiet and relaxing thanks🖖👍👌
Thank you very much!
Thumbs up from me. Love the idea of putting the angled markings on the back
Thank you very much, i tried to keep it as simple as possible
Wow hermosa herramienta, excelente video. Sincesamente una obra de arte industrial, saludos desde Argentina!
Gracias desde la lluviosa y tormentosa Baviera.

Great work. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum this week 😎
Great! Thank you!
Nie wiem czy wszyscy mają to samo wrażenie, ale toczenie i frezowanie metalu ma w sobie coś hipnotyzującego.
Thank you for sharing your project; the part and the video production are both top quality.
Thank you very much!
Really great idea. I was amazed at how you did it
Thank you!
Excellent job
Thank you!
Very nicely done.
Thank you!
Now cut a thread with the same pitch and it will make a diamond-shaped knurl. It comes out a little closer to a square or rhombus shape when I do it.

Thank you! Yes it was just a test knurl, when i really use it for a project i would try to get it straight.
Very nice job !!
Thank you!
Excelente trabalho amigo.
Excellent idea
Thanks for sharing
Just subbed
Cheers
Thank you!
Sehr gute Arbeit. Aus was hast du denn den Hauptträger gemacht? 235, 355 oder ein Cr? Gefällt mir gut.
Danke! Ist ein 100CR6.

Great tool! I'm curious, what type or brand of bluing did you you use on the steel? Seemed like it gave a very even finish!
Thank you! ballistol.de/produkte/technik/waffenpflege/72/schnellbruenierung
Those are Selendioxid bluings. There are financial better purchases then Balostol... 50ml 30$?!
Can you specify the knurling wheel specs you used?

Ottima esecuzione per la costruzione dell 'attrezzo, si poteva apprezzare di più il test finale se il mandarino avesse fatto meno giri.
Where did you get the drawers in beginning of the video. Many thanks!!!
The brand is Küpper, i buy it at local stores. But it's available online, too. Or do you mean the grey ones?
@@randomtechnician sorry- the grays ones please!
They are called eurobox, i also buy it in local stores. But if you search for them you will find them online, too.
@@randomtechnician Thank you ! Best of luck growing the channel.
@@Markdoubts Thank you very much!
What chemical did you apply to the metal to make it black color ? What is that procedure ?

@@randomtechnician excelent. Thanks a lot....
диаметр детали должен быть кратным диаметру ролика накатки , иначе зубчики не будут совпадать и будут раздавливать друг друга .
How about explaining you're doing? Instead of making watchers sit through fifteen minutes of silence. Like it was 1923, instead of 2023.
