This method is really helping me, and I’m very very interested in how this works. I’m former High level gymnast and due to the pandemic I haven’t been in the gym in Two years. I’m 37 and went 20 years with out doing so much as a cartwheel but on a fluke started adult gymnastics classes 5 years ago. I have noticed that I had a lot of muscle memory for pretty high level skills but at the same time be my movement memory was pretty much gone. I’ve decided to use the feldenkrais method to work from the ground floor up and then start more complicated gymnastic movements. I’ve found that this method has woken old movement patterns from my childhood that I’d had Totally forgotten.

This explanation is so esoteric. Feldenkrais is neuromuscular retraining and re-eduction. Start there and don't assume some of us aren't intelligent enough to understand the method. Moshe studied other somatics like yoga and Alexander technique to name only two. Arlyn Zone would say your explanation is too verbose, indirect and doesn't truly answer what feldenkrais is. Imo, it's why the feldenkrais method hasn't caught on in the us. Most practitioners have a different answer to a quite simple. question.

Brilliant explanation that fits also with 老子 Laotze 's 能嬰兒乎 'Can you be (flexibly relaxed)like a baby (foetal learning/ teaching 胎: 教學相長)'? and Christ's ' Unless you ( be reborn again and ) become (as good as ?) a child...' : lifelong challenges ! Especially the more profound understanding at the DNA 🧬 switches level that as modern adults .. stressed by 21st century problems like sleep deprivation , we fail to complete our sleep work : with eyes closed and reaching for the best restorative growth through deepest relaxation and the best combination of internal switching that afforded us the enjoyment of best living recycling, replenishing and maintenance relatively, despite our longer existence !?!

Unfortunately like the teachings of Laotze, Christ etc which are never fully tried , Feldenkrais needs also the intelligent recovery ❤️‍🩹 of past insights lost and the inner quiet sensitivity to enhance full development for 'placebo' (I am acceptable ! - in behaviour and life style ...for our inner workings to reach greater fulfilment than the max of 25% ...) . But if there were geniuses who got near reaching that point before, I am sure other talented ones amongst us and avoiding charlatans, could also recover the heuristics and method....and give hu(wo)manity a hand again. Hopefully 🙏🏼, if it happens, more will listen, keep, try and pass on.

Jesus statement of being born again is about spiritual rebirth, by believing that the center of our being is His Spirit through the death and Resurrection and ascension, to live in our hearts, the Center of our lives, that brings body, soul and spirit under His personal training to bring us into His Kingdom, now and eternally with the greatest Love, Mercy and Grace to bring us into relationship with the Living,, loving God.
And becoming like children means, our total love and commitment to Him, as a child trusts it's parents, caregivers with all its needs and wants. There is no greater way to live from that center. Also as a child, we learn how to use resources given by him like our bodies, minds, emotions, The soul is saved from destruction by asking for His forgiveness that He provided through His death, atonement for sin. Learn more about freedom of the soul at sonlifetvnow. This is the Message to bring us to the Greatest Gift to mankind. 🙌 blessings🙏🙏🙏💝💝💝

@@abigailjohnson6220 exactly. This divine impulse of the Holy Spirit moving us to (Christ = anointed one or messiah… with this “divine chemistry “ led,….long term human ) wholeness is there in many cultures as the divine ‘loves’ (in human understanding and terminology) all of us ! Religions initiate many of us on this path… but soon the institutional constrictions to the divine message ( that is NOT OF THIS HUMAN WORLD..bigger.. not necessary better in human terms like the cross and atonement) that mystics of all religions abandon then wrestled with…to bring others to do the same by example…. after 21 centuries, the world is no more ready to go this narrow path …simply to allow the Wisdom of childlike simplicity saying Yes 🙌 to the HolySpirit with total openness … that helped us all to full growth moment by moment as humans when we were babies… hence ‘unless we be born again’ to that state of Assent to life we once had as foetus and infants !

It's shedding the fictitious ideas forced with culture and undoing old habits.
    Unless there is actual strengthening,
    no movement will get easier.
    Actual strengthening increases bone density,
prevents the retreat of nerve endings and capillaries,
    and
is crucial for remaining active as time goes by.
Life-long learning has nothing to do with Feldenkrais.
The idea that seeing how you move or need to move or could move is,
actually, good but does not replace actual exercise in any way shape or form
    and
as long as people are wearing shoes that bunch up the toes and have a bit of a lift under the heel,
people will never be able to move normally.
