Salut! De unde ai luat alcantara, ma refer fix la produsul tau, ca am mai gasit si eu pe net dar nu stiu cum se prezinta. Stiu ca unele sunt foarte slabe si nu arata deloc ca in poze.
May I recommend, if your new plate is the same size as your old plate, putting tape along the edge of the old plate so you have a guide as to where your new plate will fit. Assuming your old plate is central! 😅
Hi, Thanks for posting, very interesting. Quick question, do you know the thickness of the Alcantara you used? I have sourced the perfect match for the colour of my BMW but I being told it is too thick to wrap similar bits of trim to the ones you did and needs thinning. It is probably 1.1mm, did you you use 0.6 0r 0.8mm?
Sorry for that! very hard to find a good product to recommend. I have actually searched for hours with no result. but i haven't gave up on it. i will find a good product and add the link soon.

@@BIMMERHEAD Faded after the year ?? I used shitty selfadhesive black "alcantara" -fake suede to door and console trims like you and its ok about year. We dont touch (or not too much ) this things so it cant be demaged . Im using soft toothbrush for it somethimes. (But too same selfadhesive stuff is glossy on B Pilar by the belt. This needs original alcantara or another quality brand of fake suede but standard cloth or leather is the best for theese things ) I think that fake suede cloths like alcantara or another brands arent good for interiors, seats, sunvisors, steeringwheels... Its stupid nonquality fasion . But for theese trims is ok. You can use selfadhesive shit without glue spray like vinyl wrap.
@@johnnypolex aliexpress or amazon or ebay.. its not alcantara brend and not durable but for some things its ok. I had door and console trims wraped with that over year, have wood trims now. Still have bottom B pillars wraped with this self adhesive fake suede.
its a glue called "prenadez" im not sure if you can find that anywhere but i found that type of blue to be the best for this application, also lather glue works fine .

This is beautiful
Salut, un link la noi în tara pentru alcantara? De unde ai cumpărato? Arata bestiala, foarte frumos!! Felicitări!
What kind of glue did you use?
Thanks for posting this video. Do you think it's better to use alcantara with a backing?
Not at all. it won't be flexible enough for all the corners
BIMMERHEAD Thanks so much!

yes 1.1 is way to thick... mine was 0.6
how is this holding up ? does interior heat cause it to side off ?
how much meters of fabric?
Hello,i want to ask you if the glue you used with the brush you used it only for the difficult cuts and corners and the spray for the easy ones?
the spray was not that good so i started using the other glue. its a special glue for leather.
The alcantara was original or same as alcantara?
@@giorgosc4298 not original. but the process is exactly the same. it was ok for a year and then i did carbon fiber skinning .
The link you gave is for suede not alcantara
Is this removable ? Without wrecking the original material
Get a 2nd dash panel from the wreckers.
There's no link for the one thing people might be interested in ?? The alcantara?
Theres a link for go pro, tripod, polish etc...

Hi great video. How long do/could or should these wraps last and is dependent on glue and or material quality?
Depends on the quality of the product. mine faded in about 12 months and ended up redoing them in carbon fiber.

In thumbnail alcantara is really nice brownish colour, but in your video its just basic black.
depending on the light hitting it alcantara can have different shades
Alcantara is available in a range of colours, but black is the usual colour for dashboards
