I had the privilege of watching them in NY this summer. I was the only one at the entry when they arrived the venue in the pm. Seeing them rounding the corner caught me by surprise. They looked like a junior high garage band. I was star stuck and caught speechless. I wound up fumbling for my camera and managed to catch a shot with Miyu and Halca entering the front doors. They were just awesome live. Wish them great things to come. They fully deserve to be bigger and more success with the hard work and talents.
Those young Japanese musicians DESERVE a lot more coverage. Thank you Ryan for introducing me to their music and for giving them some more coverage on your channel. YOU'RE THE MAN!!!

I spent a number of years working out of Yokohama and I'll always remember the intensity of Shinjuku (way, way before COVID), coming out of the Station and all your senses being assaulted, music blasting from every store, bright flashing neon colors, massive crowds sweeping you along, huge TV screens on the sides of buildings, just trying to survive walking down the sidewalk was exhausting and exhilarating at the same time! 😂 And congrats on 20K subs!!
Asterism is a band I fully support! All three band members are outstanding musicians!! Hal-Ca is my favorite guitarist, I actually cried when I saw them in California, someday I’ll get my photo with them! Cool video Ryan

Thank you Ryan for an interesting show report! I'm so glad you seemed really enjoyed Japan. As you know, in most ASTERISM gigs(all!?), it's OK to take pics or videos. That's very nice thing for Japanese music fans. Because taking pics and recording video and audio are prohibited in most concerts in Japan. I always feel sorry for that.
Great video! It got me excited for Japan trip in November. At the Band-Maid show in Chicago I told you I was trying to get tickets to see Asterism on my trip. I was able to get both tickets I wanted, on the 12th and 23rd! I didn’t release until I watched this video the 11/23 show is at the same venue as your show.
I saw them last night 27th Sept 2023 Eggman Shibuya, very friendly and excited to see overseas fans. I didnt get chance to ask them for a photo, as they asked me first,😂 they also signed a CD and my customary Japan Flag, which I try to get as many bands to sign as I see. Great performance, I highly recommend them live to everyone. Thanks for the video Ryan 👍

Asterism is amazing to me ! I'm a huge Jimi Hendrix fan and this group could play most of his songs just as well =) I like Hal-Ca's voice but i like Jimis' more ! They seem down to earth to me and i like them more now ! Thanks Ryan
Thanks for sharing this. I’m new to Asterism but it’s clear they have a lot of promise. I guess they have salaries if they’re on Sony? Hope the label supports them to develop in terms of composition and really finding their voice over a few more albums at least.
That's cool. I ordered their new CD that comes with a signed card or something. I watched a vid of them playing on the street in California and folks were just walking by. Oh well, different strokes I guess.
Japan and Tokyo is just so good. I went to 3 cities and I think it was day 10 till I saw some rubbish on the side of the road. For a place with no bins in the streets it’s just so clean. No graffiti no druggies on every corner and no homeless beggars. With the best music and bands.🤘🇯🇵🤘

Asterism belongs to the same major entertainment agency, Amuse, as BABYMETAL. It is famous for the band Southern All Stars. The band is the most famous band in Japan, having the No.1 album sales in 1980's, 1990's, 2000's, 2010's, and 2020's respectively. It can be said that the band is known by all ages of Japanese. However, there are few other band affiliations. (ONE OK ROCK was affiliated until 2021). BABYMETAL is a kind of accidental hit that Kobametal, who was in charge of idols, started it as a personal hobby, and the agency is not good at metal activities. The reason why Asterism belonged to such Amuse may be that they plan to eventually get involved with BABYMETAL.
