The bad part about 125’s is that they suck anywhere other than the powerband, if you aren’t on the pipe they’re useless, but when you are they’re soooo fast
Dirt Bike I regret selling most of my bikes last one I let go fully restored 95 rm 250 I’m still kicking myself over it 3 months later, 94 full resto yz 125, and 2003 full resto CR 250 . I’ve framed pictures of them three in my house and I wish I could have them back now.
I heard these were actually way better than the aluminum framed ones that started coming out in '98 or whenever it was. Both motor and chassis. So many memories, my buddy got a brand new one in high school in '94. Damn I'm old.
I used to have a 95 97 and 2000 and 2001 cr125 and I really think that the 95-97 motor is way better than the 00-01 both the 95&97 same bikes and the 00&01 same bikes
All of these videos feature a build that costs more than a new bike with all parts free. All the bikes I fix is at loss. And also Ive never seen a bike for 300 bucks.
My first 125 was a 97 CR 125 last year for the steel frame, and I loved that bike.. 1998 came around and my old man picked me up a 98 aluminum frame CR and I hated that thing.Honda did a lot to improve on that frame threw the years. I remember going to a YZ 125 in 99.
95 was the first year for the wide foot pegs! I put a set of 95 pegs on my 87 250. I was able to stand up easier and go much faster than with the skinny pegs. I wear a 13 boot.
That is a beauty, sounds crisp. One question, how are you able to get some of the parts company to donate parts? I’m restoring a 03 kx 125 for my son. I have put a lot of money into it from all balls and many other companies. Just curious
I also have a 95 cr125 that I'm doing a full restore on, already have about $1200 in parts stowed away and I have a long way to go yet, Would love me some free parts
What kind of rear brake pedal was that. Looked almost like a hammerhead. I have a 01 cr 250 and looking to do something similar with the pedal. Any info or direction appreciated
danerouse55 finally got around to replacing the tip. Ended up using the hammerhead titanium tip.The holes on it lined up perfectly with the rivets. A sure boot ripper but worth the trade off. I used a torch to bring the color out a bit. Turned out pretty good. Thanks I appreciate the info. I really wish there were more parts available for older 2 strokes . The more I check out your bike the more I notice the intricate touches you added. Clean.....
alot of them came from our sponsors that we get stuff for free anyways. the parts that were not free at first we called and pitched the idea and knowing that we are a privateer pro team they know we get exposure and the outside events like NASCAR that the bikes attend get 150,000 plus people to look at it they see it as a great opportunity
danerouse55 That’s awesome, great job on the promotion aspect of the build allot of people don’t think like that. That’s really smart, thanks for the reply!
No problem dude, thanks for the compliments but I feel like I did horrible in the interview. I have another bikes in the works right now. Keep a look out for it. It will be a 1991 CR250
I also had a 92 rm 125 and my friend had a brand new 99 cr125 in 1999 and I can honestly say my RM was better in everyway, even my friend admitted it was a better bike shame I never kept that bike
Got my 94 for like 200 traded a shitty sled I bought and fixed for a total of 200 which ended up blowing up 3 days after the trade 😂 but I’m stuck with a bike that has no spark cuz that guy lied 😂🤷♂️ but it’s whatever
I'm wondering how people can get dirtbikes for 300$ where I am with 300$ you can take home a rolling chassis and maybe a swingarm and a shock absorber... even a super beaten up piece of shit is on sale for at least 1k
Who doesn't like retro bikes, I got an 89 cr125 for Christmas, I love these retro builds
my first Bike was a 89 cr125 loved that bike, My best friend had 2 brand new 95 cr125's
Sweet bike ! Someone needs to get Lammy on the horn and setup a ride day. You can't say 1995 CR125 without thinking about him.
Good Lord that is an amazing bike! I'm a 125 junkie, 2 stroke faithful, and this is as good as it gets!!
The bad part about 125’s is that they suck anywhere other than the powerband, if you aren’t on the pipe they’re useless, but when you are they’re soooo fast
1998 KX250 1992CR125 04BLASTER FULL BUILD all nasty 2stroke till I die
WE NEED MORE RETRO ON THIS CHANNEL :)
Great job on the interview, I regret selling every cr125 I owned. Thank you for bringing the bike back to life have fun riding it.

Should have kept all those bikes I had all over the years
You did good describing all the parts great job!
I heard these were actually way better than the aluminum framed ones that started coming out in '98 or whenever it was. Both motor and chassis. So many memories, my buddy got a brand new one in high school in '94. Damn I'm old.
doug148877 95-97 Was by far the best 125 motor Honda ever produced. My buddy has a 97 and it was so much better than my 06.
I used to have a 95 97 and 2000 and 2001 cr125 and I really think that the 95-97 motor is way better than the 00-01 both the 95&97 same bikes and the 00&01 same bikes
I had a 98, my cousin had a 97. We both preferred his 97, motor and chassis.
I'm rebuilding an 02 CR125. Can I get some of these donations??
I was pretty much just going to put down the same thing, but you beat me to it. By 6 months 😂
All of these videos feature a build that costs more than a new bike with all parts free. All the bikes I fix is at loss. And also Ive never seen a bike for 300 bucks.
this is going to sound weird but that thing looks mad comfortable lol
This has to be my favorite bike featured on this channel
These projects are so cool thank you Racer X Illustrated
This inspiring me to rebuild old dirt bikes and snowmobiles!
That was a Great bike in 95. Flatter seat. Fast and quick on tight tracks
just seen this bike in person on display at my local honda dealer here in socal, thing sure is nice.
Very clean. This looks better than a new one. Great job
Nice to see a 90s smoker project. Good job!
Being old old school.. I'm usually a factory Phil... But for some reason... I love this fuckin bike !!!
Sounds amazing, cheers guys for sharing 🤙

That frame colour is so nice
This is great my first 2 stroke was a 95 cr 125
Suspension looks a little soft
StilwellMotovlogger 90s bikes have a bit of softer suspension
Nice build! They do look different though don't they.
So fucking beautiful.
Cool bike then and now.
Cool shirt and great feature!
wooooooooooooo rock on guys
That was the best bike I ever had
Setting up these old bikes, rear shock - same as modern bikes 105mm sag?
Thinking about repainting my bike, what should I do?
Bike does sound really good
what a beauty
dude who put it on craigslist the second time def stole it
i have the pinkslip kind of hard to argue that part
i only say that because i had my cr125 on craigslist and it was stolen and then they posted it on cl too😂
Watch out Ping, this guy is after your job he's almost as good!
Sounds saaweeeet!!!
That is a beauty, sounds crisp. One question, how are you able to get some of the parts company to donate parts? I’m restoring a 03 kx 125 for my son. I have put a lot of money into it from all balls and many other companies. Just curious
Mike Owens because they have a following companies will send parts for exsposure
Danes an industry guy and does alot of bike build's
Need a rear brake pedal for my 1995 CR250r. Where did that pedal come from?
Wow a lot of donations. I'm a combat Vet and just picked a 96 cr125 who wants to donate all my parts needed lol
Badass
Is Pingree too good to ride it?
well it is a fugly POS ..
can u make a 92 share the 95 plastics on the cr??
Your lucky man I'm building the same bike and I'm paying out of pocket for everything, must be nice to get half the bike donated
I also have a 95 cr125 that I'm doing a full restore on, already have about $1200 in parts stowed away and I have a long way to go yet, Would love me some free parts
Does anyone know where I can find white radiator hoses for a 1995 kdx 200???
What kind of rear brake pedal was that. Looked almost like a hammerhead. I have a 01 cr 250 and looking to do something similar with the pedal. Any info or direction appreciated
its a hammer head tip, grind off the original rivets, tap the holes and use the supplied screws to attach the new tip
danerouse55 awesome. Thank you.
I know for sure that from the newer crf's the rear brake master cylinder fits on those bikes I did it on my 95 cr125 I used to have
danerouse55 finally got around to replacing the tip. Clean.....
Would anyone know what other forks I could put on my 97 cr125 ?
How do all these people get “donated” parts..?
I was like....must be nice to have half the fuckin bike donated!!! Lol
Haha right they can donate anything they want me. Lol seriously though I'm re building my 98 yz250 so feel free to donate.
alot of them came from our sponsors that we get stuff for free anyways. the parts that were not free at first we called and pitched the idea and knowing that we are a privateer pro team they know we get exposure and the outside events like NASCAR that the bikes attend get 150,000 plus people to look at it they see it as a great opportunity

You wanna impress me ? Build the impossible. 1987 kx250. Good luck finding an expansion chamber
Found a 86 pipe took me about 4 mins
This bikes probably faster then my 250 lol
Unless your 250 is an 80s model than no way. 125s can be made beasts but they still arent 250s
everything was good until i heard Hot Rods Crank!!
Be nice to get all the free stuff!
I have to source and pay for my retro rebuilds.
They should have used a OEM Honda crank because you can still get them from Honda
And they are cheaper than aftermarket
So what I'm hearing is everything was donated and this bike was built for free
Gem
I want one.
If the cases were black when u bought it its not an 95.. That bike was ripping , way faster then stock in 1995
they were not black originally, i had them painted
Those bars look fucked, way low and swept back. I had a 94 which was a decent bike. Not as good as my 92Rm125 but still a solid bike.
I also had a 92 rm 125 and my friend had a brand new 99 cr125 in 1999 and I can honestly say my RM was better in everyway, even my friend admitted it was a better bike shame I never kept that bike
Dave Wyatt cr is more reliable than the rm just wait into your rm breaks down and the cr is still going
Yeah dude I thought the same thing about the bars. I guess thats what the owner prefers
Brian deegan was on a rm not cr
ah kinda wanted ping to ride it.
I had a 2005 yz125 and trade it for 1997 cr125 it’s way better. Everyone told my get a cr125 and I did
Got my 94 for like 200 traded a shitty sled I bought and fixed for a total of 200 which ended up blowing up 3 days after the trade 😂 but I’m stuck with a bike that has no spark cuz that guy lied 😂🤷♂️ but it’s whatever
Terry Varner motor so you know it hauls ass
There is on sellomg for 500 dollars
lost me at 144
I'm looking for donations on my bike!!!😁
I'm wondering how people can get dirtbikes for 300$ where I am with 300$ you can take home a rolling chassis and maybe a swingarm and a shock absorber... even a super beaten up piece of shit is on sale for at least 1k
Definitely could have picked a better graphic company.. magik is a joke
Magik is the best company in the game
