  • Hello, friends! Welcome to my channel!
In this video, I went on a winter hike without a tent. My goal is to find a cave and spend the night inside with a stove. The path was difficult, but I reached my goal. Enjoy watching!

Whenever I go winter hiking or winter camping, I always bring a battery operated power drill, and some brass hinges and a bunch of screws. And a large cast iron pot belly stove. Oh and a hammer too, and an impact driver and sawzall and glazed glass for windows and a portable workbench along with basic masonry tools, and a huge blowtorch to light a fire.. I mean, like, who doesn't? Right?

I would think a cave in winter would be pretty cold until you get it heated up. Get that rock heated up and then it would be toasty.

Way back in the beginning when you started to dig the ground on your dugout cabin is when I started watching you. I am so proud of your accomplishments and how far you have come. Alex Wild and Dima would be very proud of you as well. Although I don't think Dima would be able to crawl into your cave..LOL...Stay healthy and be safe my friend. I'll see you in your next video!!

How convenient,,,dragging that lil sled behind I'm pretty sure a small double walled tent could have fit in with his gear. Snow shelters have been used in sub zero climates for centuries, and an iglu is fairly easy to build, sets up fast and can be heated with a few candles, warm enough you don't see your breath,,,you can build a snow cave in a snow drift,,,if you have a tarp and a ground cloth you can make a one man teepee that will accommodate a small fire for cooking and heat,,,I could go on for hours on the subject of cold weather shelters,,,food is the biggest worry, you can melt snow for drinking and drinking it warm will help your comfort level,,,but food,,,thats another BIG challenge,,,
Don't stump your lil toe on that chair leg sticking out in the dining room,,,

A book to read in or two, lots of books on my smartphone, a foldable solarpanel of 30 watts, a small, low on consumption multiband radio with a wire for outside antenna, an inside/outside thermometer to know the temps and styropor pieces 5 cm thick to 40 to 50 cm wide, two or three pieces - to close the entrance instead of cutting lots of small wood pieces. The styropor would be way lighter than an electric drill. (But a batteriepack for LED light is always handy and multipurpose today.) If I bring pieces of equipment of today why not Styropor, maybe one side pre sprayed in tarnfleck at home in advance? A binoclar. Rolls of paper towels (They are multiuse as well.) Anti bear spray. A flag. More rope, zip ties and rubber bands. A taylormade medicine chest. A bible. Some candles. Pieces of cotton net to attach things to the wall or ceiling. Sekundenkleber. 8 to 10 cc of nitro solvent in a small glas. A carrier pigeon. Some bright different color plastic flowers to feed the soul. Maps. Pen and paper for my notes/diary. Make more music to attract the shark. (Some take fotos of beloved ones as well.)
