is this still relevant? I just came back and to be honest I have no idea what to do and where to go and I know guides get out dated so I am not sure how much of this is still relevant to the current patch
Just to add a minor nitpick: the boots from lair of the mad mage are not the same on each class, and ranged dps have 5% combat advantage only when 50 feet or farther (which is very bad because that's not how the game is played, even by ranged characters). I think cleric has this kind of boots, probably warlock too, and the others I don't know
I mostly solo as a rogue, rarely will you find me in a group. I tried this set up and I got dropped in a heartbeat. I had no defense. I don't want to seem mean, but part of being a dps is living to dps. Also don't think that I'm trying to put anyone off your videos, I'm not. If people can fight like that, do so, you are one of the 2 channels I watch for "help me through this s#$%" guides, the other is 360 gaming. One question, the boots from the Mad Mage Lair, do they drop or can you buy them? Because if it's an at the end gold reward, good luck on finding someone to go all the way to gold, people were whining yesterday when people voted to go silver... lol Oh and Ps thank you for the video on locations of the jewels, and how to get the weapon set etc. I do want to know is there anything else to do with the jewels other than just spend them on reputation? Oh I should tell you I'm running a near full set of the Enclave (call of the wild set, with the weapons you got me 💖 via ur video) and patiently waiting and upgrading til I get the antique ones. Oh another question the crystal fairy wings, are they for sale from a vendor and which stage do you have to unlock? Like all 3 stages or 2 or?
Since Dragonborn Vale has come out, I'm wondering if "Necrotic Mastery" or "Dino Power" might have beneficial damage effects on the dragon in "Crown of Keldegonn"? Just trying to squeak out every ounce of damage on dragons, especially since Cryptic seems to be heading towards more of these kinds of bosses... I appreciate your expertise and guidance friend :-)
Hi aragon decent videos but please please 🙏 can you make a video on how much getting in to combat abv will improve your dps new ppl dont seem to fully get the massive increase it gives your dps to take two step behind
I’m currently running Twilight bracers for the 3% bonus, should I switch those out for the wrist guards from HCVOS? And are Mirage weapons or Lionheart better for DPS?
yes, the wristguards would be better on a fast hitting class, like a rogue, at least if you can make room for the 7.5k power. Mirage vs. Lionheart depends on the class, can't say for all atm, but on rogue they are basically the same, mirage can be slightly better with artifact calls
18:04 I was also wondering, what if you would slot all companion damage bonus instead of stats, is it better than going for the 90% stats? Just wondering
The damage bonuses can be slightly better, keep in mind the Neverwinter Knight is pay zen to get now for new players and then unavailable after April the 1st, so I didn't suggest it. Minsc only works on tougher enemies and Batiri only on bosses. So yes, it can be best to at least use minsc and Batiri for boss fights, and then it can be better to just have stats than use the Knight. Depends on how many other damage biff you have tho
@@Aragon- Sorry, forgot to mention. I meant, on an endgame perspective, where you slot all damage comp bonuses. Haven't had the time to test it as I'm a noob in using ACT.
@@alejandrorodriguez3376 also, combat advantage isn't going to add to your damage if you don't have it during the fight. What I mean is not only do you need to increase combat advantage as a stat but also be in position to get it during the fight. You can use skills or have companions that give combat advantage in the fight but just knowing that getting the stat isn't going to automatically increase your damage in the fight. You will know if you have CA in the fight in the blue/dark blue/purple border vs white border of the enemy. White means you don't have CA on the enemy.

Yeah, you could upgrade the seals of the north gear, but I would say, it's a big waste of your time. Have a look later on in the video and we end up replacing all of it with much better gear
Start Dragon hunts asap (instead of going to Avernus) for some of the best gear in the game with loads of stats! Was released with Module 23

You mean the boons that give up to 5% damage against dragons and cultists, those work good in the new area and the trial

as a dps you lose more damage unslotting your combat enchant then you gain from the stats you get, its only useful for healer or tank.
If I keep buying the elite mount all the time, wil work to increase my level or only once?
In HcVos its also fairly easy to run 4 Dps and one good healer.

For people that don't have the ribcage, do you think the mercenary breastplate is better than the midnight cuirass from HC vos if power isn't capped?
the mercenary breastplate is better if you dont have your power capped already

it gives 6k power which equals 6% dmg, so as long as your power is 84% or lower mercenary is better.

Combat advantage isn't a focus on the bard though, is it?
Yes it is. If you want to max your damage, combat advantage is best thing after power

I completed dragon vale campaign but was wondering how i get the mats for the lvl 1800 gear? Is it through the dragon treasure thing??
yup. You collect the Dragonsight Treasures, and they give you the various materials needed to upgrade to the 1800 gear.
Also enter the store and purchase one of the items needed to purchase the weapons- you need to buy about a hundred
