Gigi Vibes was recently part of Wish Date Invisible Concert, she sang WHERE DO BROKEN HEARTS GO & NEVER ENOUGH. It's kinda hard to find the videos, GO to Angel Quer's Music channel & click on Videos. For some reason it doesn't come up when doing a regular search.

Gigi's kills 'House Of The Rising Sun' with no mercy. Her vocals is so intense delivered with power and style. Her sweet smile in the end belies the beast in her. Aside from Alanis, her Avril and Paramore covers were spot on too that you can't afford to miss!
What sets Gigi apart from other Filipino artist is that she is not a solo act, she has her band which is part of the experience and makes her more satisfying to listen. The band is a part of her like an extension of her arms and limbs.

To show more of her versatility you might want to consider reacting to her “Timeless Classic Shirley Bassey Medley” These are the songs that our grandparents used to listen to during the 60’s and 70’s. These are old songs but you’d be blown away by how good she was in her performance.

I'm not a singer, so I was just wondering if my observation was valid, but it seems like her air/breath control is at another level. Like she's somehow measured how much air she needs to take in and how much is going out while she sings, and seems to sometimes incorporate it into her performance. I'm saying this because I've noticed that with other singers their sharp inhales and exhales are sometimes audible and kind of "disturbs" the music, it doesn't happen much, but it does. With Gigi though, I can't remember when I've experienced it, at least not to the point where it "disturbs" the music.
That's why Yazik, a reactor,singer and vocal coach from Poland said Gigi is a vocal engineer.
Its the mark of a true vocalist. Gigi seems to have honed her skills to perfection through the years and knows very well her voice, both its strengths and limitations, and she uses it like an instrument that she plays at her will. Its the reason she never goes off pitch and her belts are clean and clear.
In my opinion, you are two of the most intelligent (and fun) music reactors on UA-cam. I should know - I am a professional musician myself. Just a couple of suggestions for you to react to:
1) Gary Valenciano's cover of Spain (Chick Corea) and
2) Marcelito Pomoy's cover of The Prayer - Wish Bus live version (I'd love to hear your vocal analysis of this one.)

Guys this is a surprise live but since Im subscribed and hit the notification bell I was able to catch the start. Again I am learning new things about Gigi's voice because of your insightful reactions. I love Gigi and the Gigi Vibes. They are goofy most of the time behind the scenes and it was nice you included the impromptu You Ought to Know Alanis Morissette song and the bloopers. It shows their true personalities.
I just discovered this wonderful singer a few hours ago, and after watching just a few videos, I'm already a hopelessly hooked fan of Gigi's beautiful voice and huge vocal talent! In her version of lost stars she let her band mates sings, and shows adam lavine how to sing that song properly.
Yes the boys did a great job with the backup vocals on that one. I love Oyus voice, u probably heard his One Last Cry. But chk our the livestream that he & Jon did, it's just the 2 of them. It's on Divina Ko channel, click on Playlist & choose Oyus Playlist which has 12 songs (they did more than that actually, it ran for 2.5 hours). So good, impromptu, taking song requests. My favorite is High by The Speaks.

Thank you for this insightful reaction as usual. Many reactors have similarly noted her pronunciation and the clarity of the lyrics when she sings even when she's being playful with the words. The surprising part is she does not speak English when she talks with the bandmembers or to the viewers in between sets or during interviews or to her audience in her concerts here or abroad. She's very humble and has no pretensions.

While she mispronounced the word "sewed" as "sued", I'll still forgive her because this is a treat. Love her.
It was deliberate, an artistic choice that she often makes with her articulation or phrasing as many vocal coach reactors have noticed and pointed out about her, usually to avoid straining her voice more than is needed if she used the broad a sound as in "sawed" or because it looks or sounds better. Throga made a similar observation (on her articulation/phrasing) in their cover of Gigi's Through the Fire.

I can’t make out everything they’re saying in the bloopers part, but when the keyboardist first comes in, he’s mimicking the raspy TV voice overs of Filipino investigative reporter Gus Abelgas, who typically does crime mystery stories and asks questions before the commercial break, like, “Who did it?” “Why did he do it?” “Stay tuned…” They’re poking fun at Gigi for being unable to start the song - “From the land of Lagoon, Gigi de Lana… What caused her to miss her cue? Why did she lose her nerve?” (Or something to that effect. “Daga” means mouse, “dinaga” means to be infested with mice or to be nervous or timid as a mouse.)
