Hello Dr. Shomu. I was prescribed Rifaximin for constipation (Dyssynergic defecation), and it proved to be effective. Over the next 6 years, I experienced no issues at all. However, when I decided to take another round of Rifaximin due to a traveler's episode of diarrhea, my constipation (Dyssynergic defecation) returned immediately. It is possible that Rifaximin initially worked as a chemical factor to address muscle coordination issues, but after 6 years and a new round, it appears that the medication reversed all my symptoms. I would appreciate any insights, recommendations or thoughts you may have on this matter. I have attempted to discuss this with multiple doctors, but unfortunately, no one seems interested or willing to help. I feel a bit lost with my problem. Brother i also suffering those effect but one thing 1st avoid every stress full scenes in your life and think your the man you can do every thing and this pain cant stop you it will give you a good relief dont eat banana and milk items yous every day flex seeds its also good for your health

Hi, It has been two months since I took Rifaximin and it gave me insomnia. I still can't fall asleep and have racing thoughts, my intestines "moving" when I get up I immediately have a BM and lose stool. Before I only got insomnia if I took a pro/prebiotic. I don't eat anything processed, no gluten, raw foods, no dairy, only fresh foods. What can be wrong? Why do I still have this issue? Thank you for any kind of advice.

The people at hospital then told me to simply increase her doses of Latulose. I wish more than anything to be able to speak to some competent person about this. I am no health professional of any kind, so trying to keep up with this stuff is difficult enough without even understanding it in the first place. This whole dynamic isn't exactly just remember it or even write it down. In the position that this currently places me in, I feel like I'm back in school learning the entire ATP cycle for an exam. I'm so afraid that my ignorance will exacerbate or even risk an early death. I feel so bloody helpless. If it were just me, I don't think I would really care, but it's my wife; and watching the suffering she goes through day after day is just agony for me.
