I’ve been looking for this forever. I remember watching this on Letterman. There is no one, no one who has ever lived or who will ever live with a greater voice than Phoebe Snow. I loved Phoebe’s music and I loved her. And I always will.
I absolutely loved Phoebe Snow. when my sisters and I get together we have a Phoebe Snow night the first time I saw her was the the Club Bene in New Jersey.
If you look up this artist's origin on google it says she had two Jewish parents..So one of the was Sisilian so that make her part .moorish thus black.
At least learn it to spell. She said she was Jewish and did not know anything else about her background. She was going to get her DNA done, but I don't think she got finished before she died. She said as far as she knew she had no black ancestors, and if people wanted to claim her she was happy to belong
@@jamescricketson9464 Was thinking the same thing too when I first saw her (was on a DVD special with David Bromberg). I swear she could easily pass for one of my aunts on my mother's side of the family, which is DEEPLY mixed (black, white, and red) and has been for several generations now. Shame Phoebe never got to finish her DNA test (RIP), I read that she was quite excited about it and was looking forward to the findings...
A powerful singer and unique voice. One of the greats of her time. ❤
Still a fan 2024 ❤

Me too...I miss knowing that she was out there writing beautiful music and using her unique voice to make people happy
Would love to find her live version of Jackie Wilson’s Baby Workout. She tears it up!
I too loved Phoebe.
Hell to the Amen on that, Brother..
That last note just blew away the last 15 years of contestants on American Idol.
Like momma's wedding china. Her value, beauty, and elegance just increases with time. We miss her so.
This woman had the most incredible voice ever.....my favorite..."No Regrets"
I so miss Phoebe Snow. She and Linda Ronstadt were my favorite female singers when I was in high school and I still love their music.
Incredible talent. I miss her so much
I miss this wonderful woman. So talented. Getting chills listening to her !
Loved -- and still do love -- her Poetry Man Album. She's definitely an underrated talent -- DEFINITELY.
What a talent. Appeared at Aquinas College in the "70's. Linda Ronstadt the next month. Those were the days!
That voice.
Loved her - still do

Never the less she was a great artist.
I love Phoebe Snow
This must have been around the time there was meant to be a follow-up to Rock Away, which ended up being shelved. Wish we could hear it some day
Phone may you rest in peace.
wooow!!!
The Poetry Man album was wonderful. Every song was a keeper.
The first time I saw this was in 1988 so this must have been an old video tape.
So pretty
who can count the stars

@@rvz77 I'm interested, she looks like she has black ancestors for sure

Jewish, Black, Sicilian, Arab, Spanish/Moorish, etc… it’s all from the motherland from which we all spring so, what the heck ever.
