Finally tried this and I needed to stop by again to say : this method literally saved me. It’s so much less straining than using a crochet needle and it even takes less. Plus it makes the extensions blend in perfectly with my locs. I’m never going back to crocheting. Thank you so, so much for making this video
Well, I tried it and guess what? It WORKS! Mine are not perfect but I’ve only done ten and each one looks better than the last. It not only works but it’s very relaxing and the best part is I don’t stab my fingers to death and it doesn’t take forever. Game changer for real…Thank you soooooo much, Queen!
Where were you 4 years ago ?!? It's alright I found you now!! You are God sent !!!!! My loc repairs are actually going to last !!! Thank you for sharing !!!!!!
Wow. I have some of my own hair that I removed from my brush. After watching this video I will create a loc extension and add it to my locs once I decide to actually start them
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video. I just ordered crochet hooks and this method looks SOOOO much easier and closer to what I want to achieve. Can't wait to start my journey, and yes, I will be using extensions using your method. Kudos to you!!!!
I love this method!!! I have small traditional locs but I interlock to maintain and my real hair looks like this… my extensions were made with the crochet method and they worked it fine. But as my real hair grows, I see the difference in the texture, I think I’ll replace my extensions using this method. Then I won’t have to remove them! Thank you for sharing!!
These locs ROCK!!!! You are awesome, my dear. Thank you for all the hard work you put into your channel and your art (because it is an art form - and you're GREAT at it!!) I just ordered my kinky bulk and I have my tool and I am ready to go!!!
Thank you for sharing this method for making loc extensions!! This method is easy to learn and highly effective. I have people reaching out to me trying to buy my loc bundles!! Thanks again!! God bless you!!!!
BABY...when I say you are a GODSEND!! You most definitely need your flowers! I'm flying through these microloc extensions. Almost at 100 in about 1.5 days and that's with me BS'in. I used a smaller knitting needle (plastic) and burned off the end to make it short to move faster. I also used a 3 and 4 point rotation with the hair to prevent the loop. Most definitely giving you props!!
Thank you so much starting my install November the 19th (DIY) this is going to make it so much better for my arms hands and speed..... trying to have it all done before Thanksgiving
Sis, I hope you get this message because I have been on this journey for a while and I actually cut the back of my hair because it grows at its own pace and is a little thin in spots and I have become impatient and finally decided to cut the ugly stage out. This is a game-changer for sure. Thank you! I bought the kinky hair not even knowing how I was going to add it in. You solved both of my problems. Thank you soo so much!
Girl you got me riding this journey....How long does it take for you to create an entire head of locs? I am making/ installing my own with Style Icon. How many bundles for 10 inch extensions(100-120 locs)? I'm taking vacation and I'm just wondering what type of time I'm looking at. Thank you for your greatness!! Your hands are anointed Queen. 🥰🥰🥰
I can’t believe how simple it is. I don’t know why I haven’t thought to do this myself. I have a client coming in for extensions on 240 locs. You better believe I’m gonna be using this method!
I don't know why I didn't just do this method in the first place! I did this back in 2013. I could get my baby fine, baby find salt and pepper hair to loc. So I premade some locs and threaded my own hair through the human hair extensions. I took them down because my husband hated them.
This is my second time watching this video. Because I'm gray I wanted my locs to have that well worn dry nappy look of crochet. Now after tearing my thumb up and only 1/3 of my head done I'm hitting the block and coming back around to rethink my existence. I'm transitioning micro knotless box braids into locs and I want to keep the spacing for the most part. I had interlock dreads for three years but damaged them due to over tightening and over coloring. This time I plan to keep these for the duration and need the transition to match the journey. I'm still contemplating crochet because I want to pull my natural shoulder length hair through the LOC as you would with faux locs and then interlock the connection point while crocheting the extension with my hair. So I guess a combination of the two⁉️ I may be making this more complicated....🙄
Hello, this tutorial is the best tutorial I’ve found on this method. Thank you so much for providing the knowledge. How many bundles of hair do you think I would need for about 600, 24 inch 1 mm locs if the bundles are 12 inches each in length and 30 grams ? Again thank you so much for this info.
Thank you for showing the process. Appreciate you so much. Finally have enough hair to loc post cancer but my hair is taking a long time to grow and thicken. Hoping these extensions help. Thanks again 🙏🏾
I'm new to your channel thank you for sharing this I've been looking for someone to loc extentions on my hair. The way you did those look just like sister locs which I have. Yes I would love to see an attachment video.
Omggggggggg im late but lawd i was searching for an easier way n your vid popped up first. Thank youuuuuu cause those needle was putting holes all in mythumb n fingers 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Blessings Queen
12:42 A NEW DAWN... You show a new method of micro loc extension. But wait there's more... You also explain, in minute detail, how to repair (AND tighten) older locs. Sissssssssss!!!! I was new to your channel. Now I'm hooked and will transition from locs to micros sooner than later. Thank you and many more blessings.
So many questions, how many locs did you get out of one bundle? Where do you buy your bundles? And can you interlock into one inch hair? I love your work thank's for sharing.
😀 I get about 40 locs out of the straighter hair texture that’s on my website leylocs.com and about 30 out of the bulk hair from exyhair.com. 1 inch hair will be rough to interlock into. There may be slippage afterwards
Hey! LOVED to see this method! I have small traditional locs that I maintain with interlocking. My hair looks like these locs sooo I'm going to replace my extentions with this kind. Do you suggest shampooing the bulk hair prior to making the extention??
I just scribed to your channel and I wanted to know if you went to beauty school to learn how to do this (micro braids)and if not ..do you have any pointers on how to learn or diy tips and thank you so much….you truly gifted
good day. thanks for the video. could you make a video where this is attach to a micro sister locs? I have my locs two year now and I have started to make these extensions. thanks
I have a question. Would it be easier to take Afro hair on the weft and interlock it on the weft? That way you have your length and don’t have to deal with those tiny pieces. Then just cut the locs off the weft when you are done?
Finally tried this and I needed to stop by again to say : this method literally saved me. It’s so much less straining than using a crochet needle and it even takes less. good day. thanks for the video. could you make a video where this is attach to a micro sister locs? I have my locs two year now and I have started to make these extensions. thanks
Even though her locs are larger, the method would be the same ua-cam.com/video/bYdl6hjv2jQ/v-deo.html
Thanks for sharing. What type for hair do you use and where do you get them?
Can you please make a video for regular sized locs
I have one!

I have a question. Would it be easier to take Afro hair on the weft and interlock it on the weft? That way you have your length and don’t have to deal with those tiny pieces. Then just cut the locs off the weft when you are done?
I do believe so! That’s actually something I’ve been trying to find
This is a great suggestion bc you could make them clip ins. That’s what I’m looking for. Clip ins for reg ole locs not sister/micro locs.
Imma try this. I might buy some and make some because I have ober 700 locs and buying them all would be expensive 😩
Whewww. I’m not sure if you can make them tiny enough for 700 locs
@@LeyLocs they are actually pretty normal microloc size. Super dense hair!
@@TiffanyIma niceee take your time and make some little by little 😄
Can this be done with curly human hair?
It can but there may be some unraveling. It’s better when the texture has a little bit of kink to it
Thanks sis 💪🏾💯🔥🔥🔥

Im gonna try it with synthetic long jamacian hair. It seem like it would be easier with something long like braiding hair
Yeah! It will be because keeping the short pieces together are a challenge! I actually practiced with synthetic hair and it was much easier
looks beautiful :O)
What hair did you use?
How much did you get from a bulk
