    Good idea using the Arm as a lever, just installed today on Drz400, such a sweet mirror.

      Yeah, it totally works. I had a 2002 DRZ I rode for 10 years putting nearly 90k miles on before selling it for more than I paid for it. GREAT bike! Thanks for watching. -- Kyle

    Does it matter which way you mount the end that has the spring in it? Mirror end or ball mount end?

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  5 років тому +3

      David Tompkins no, it doesn’t matter. I often times find I’ve got one a certain way and the other the opposite. Once the balls make contact with the mount, the spring has no functionality. That being said I usually mount the “closed end to the handlebar” and the open ended towards the mirror.

    Bought my used KLR that didn’t have mirrors, picked these up. Then I had my GSA fall and break a mirror and bought another set for, that bike.

      Yes! They work so well! I move 2 sets of DoubleTake mirrors between 4 bikes.

    My OEM mirrors, because of my shoulder width, show me half of my shoulder and half of what is behind me. These look like I could adjust for a wider stance and have a better view. Is there anything that you see that would hamper their operation if installed the main post lower to each side to get a better view?

    • @manybikes

      Totally adjustable and... you can even move them wider with an extension. They will work great for your wide shoulders. Thanks for watching! - Kyle

    I went to the Doubletake website and, frankly, I find it confusing. They list "components" and then "extras". As you installed your mirrors in the video, did you require any of the "extras". Thanks.

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  3 роки тому +1

      I installed them as the "set they came with. two mirrors, two arms and two balls. What bike are you trying to order for? Maybe I can help.

      @@manybikes Looking closer at their website, I don't see any real need for their "extras". The bike is a 2021 CB500X. Thanks.

      @@user-zo6xg8bx4l Yes, just the basics should do it! Just shopped for your bike and you need none of the extras.

    That’s a slick setup. Do they sell singles? That would be a nice dual sport/sumo setup that you could tuck away when off-road.

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  5 років тому +1

      Yes, they do sell singles. For your KTM, you will need these components: Enduro Mirror $25.00 + RAM Arm 3in/76mm $13.00 Ball Stud Base $10.00 : One Side All In for $48. Check them out here: www.doubletakemirror.com/build?bike=43 or at Chap: www.chapmoto.com/sicass-racing-double-take-mirror-sar-dt-m01 and www.chapmoto.com/ram-mounts-1-34-ball-with-m10-x-1-25-thread-321-9079 and www.chapmoto.com/ram-mounts-standard-double-socket-arm-400-rap-b-201u There you have it... Must be difficult to see out of those mirrors with the glass facing forward... 😂

    Where can you get locks like Noraly on her ADV channel Itchy Boots has?? Otherwise they get stolen.

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  4 роки тому +1

      Amazon has the locks. I must be lucky to have never had a mirror stolen over the past 6 years and 200,000 miles! Thanks for watching!

    Why the DCT with the smaller gas tank? Curious as to what drove you to trade.

    • @manybikes

      Thanks for watching Jim. Several reason really... 1st: I wanted to FEEL if there really is a big difference between the way the Standard AT feels as compared to the ATAS. 2nd: The ATAS was not available in DCT when I was ready to pick up... Not happy with less fuel... but will work around it. Having been on the bike for three weeks now, I can say that if the standard AT had better suspension, I actually would like it a bit better than the ATAS... Go figure! - Kyle

      Do you think you like the DCT enough to stay with it? I have a Super Tenere and thought one day getting a goldwing dct and a CRF650L for the trails. Curious what your thoughts are on the dct? Thanks. By the way...like your videos a lot.

      @@jimwms1able Great question Jim. For a Goldwing, Heck Yeah! For an off-road bike, probably not... unless I can ADD a clutch lever so I can slip the clutch when necessary to keep the bike balanced. Thank you for your support, it is much appreciated. - Kyle
