Great answers, the questions about animals in Heaven. Scripture speaks of the future messianic kingdom that captivates our imaginations: “The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them (Isaiah 11:6, NIV). One day perfect peace will reign, and everything that has breath, including animals, will praise the Lord (Psalm 150:6).

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I have an analogy for the 'good people don't go to Heaven thought'.
The situation is you're at home and a stranger comes up to your door and you answer.
Stranger: Let me into you home
    You: No
    Stranger: Why?
You: Because I don't know you
Stranger: But I'm a good person
You: You may be a good person, but I don't know who you are, you cannot come into my home
Then a good friend of yours comes up and you allow them into your home
Stranger: Why did you let them into your home?
You: Because they're my friend, I know them
Stranger: But they aren't as a good person as me
You: That doesn't matter, I know them and I have a relationship with them. So they're allowed to enter
This scenario is what came up when I think of Revelation 3:20 and Matthew 7:21-23
Then we have Romans 3:10-12, Psalm 14, Psalm 53 saying no one is good. Because of Jesus' work on the cross, the way to come into His home is to have a relationship with him

I’ve been praying for my husbands salvation. Today he said I need to keep God to myself and stop going around telling people Jesus is coming back. I can’t say anything to him bc he doesn’t believe the Bible is Gods word. He said his last words in his death bed will be “I told you so”.
This has made my heart so heavy and I just feel like crying.
He said the invention of the Bible is just a form of control by man.

      Victoria -
I understand your grief at the thought that he may not be a believer and that he challenges your faith. God gave us the ability to choose. Don’t let his choice affect yours…stay committed and continue to pray for him.
In the meantime, see if you can get him to consider what he believes by drilling down with questions:
When his feelings are hurt - what part of him hurts? Is an arm broken? Does his mind hurt (if it were his intellect or intelligence, he could rationalize hurt away)? What part of him hurts - this may lead him to understand there’s another part of him (a spirit) that needs to be considered and acknowledged. And what happens to that spirit when he dies?
Even people who are wealthy, famous, powerful, who have lots of “stuff” yearn for more (spiritual things) to fill the void only God can fill.
Some people need to find God on their own. And they will. Instead of sharing your faith (which he doesn’t want to hear), help him consider more deeply what he does believe? Ask questions, but stand strong in your faith!

This message appears to be at least 4 years old. Prayerfully, this pastor has come to the right reading of Scripture, i.e. Scripture in light of Scripture. For example, he literalistically presents as reality the reading of Revelation regarding “pearly gates” and the new Jerusalem consisting of 12 variations of gemstone. A correct reading of the Bible notes the Revelation text is using imagery and simile. To take these areas of Revelation in a wooden-literal way would also have Satan as some gigantic multi-headed dragon. May GOD bless the hearers and doers of HIS Holy Word.

    • @grgustafson3777
      @grgustafson3777 7 місяців тому

Ultimately, NO one KNOWS what to take literally and what is figurative until they get there. This side of Heaven there are only opinions about things such as gates and foundations. Personally, I think Scripture is crystal clear that the gates are each made of one pearl and the foundation is made of many gem stones. If Jesus- the One Who created all that is seen from what is unseen, the One Who can forgive sins and raise the dead- then exquisite and unbelievable building materials is child’s play. He’s God and He can do anything. And it’s HEAVEN, His home. It SHOULD be exquisite and amazing!
There are MANY notable, well-respected Bible scholars (throughout history up to modern times) who DO think differently than you and those you have learned from. Many said (when they were older) that they should have taken the Bible much more literal than they did as young men. And Pastor still teaches taking literally those passages that seem to be written to be taken literally. Shalom.

    • @KAlphonso
      @KAlphonso 7 місяців тому

@@grgustafson3777 yeah. The Bible should be taken literally as it is literature. As such, the Bible is filled with historical narratives, apocalyptic imagery, etc. Regardless of the “greatness” of pastors or biblical scholars, etc, the same HOLY SPIRIT illuminates Scripture to every born-again believer. The imagery used in Revelation is crystal clear and must be interpreted in light of the rest of the Bible. When one applies that principle, one will not conclude as this preacher does.

In 1976, when I was 13 years old, I had a wide awake, real, in full color VISION of the Lord's Return... I want to stress, this was NOT a dream.
We lived out in the country in the middle of dusty plowed fields, dirt roads and woods in south Georgia. Everything looked kind of brown and crispy, like it needed rain bad. The corn field across the road in front of the house was starting to turn brown and die.
I went to my bedroom, which faced out the front side of the house and looked out onto our front yard, which had a semi-circular dirt driveway and beside the left entrance was an old dogwood tree which had to be at least a hundred years old. Highway 341 ran from east to west in front of our house, which faced north, and the cornfield I spoke of earlier was on the other side of the highway. There was a slight rise in the middle of this field and you could not see the trees on the other side, so it looked like an ocean of corn that went off into the horizon.
As I lay across my bed looking out the window, contemplating what I saw before me, I began to hear music in the distance. I specifically heard it in my right ear and the direction from which it came made me think of the high school band which practiced several miles southeast from where I lived. When conditions were right we could hear the band playing, but usually only heard the faint beat of drums. This sounded like trumpets and as I was thinking this to myself, I began to notice the music getting louder and louder, coming closer and closer, very quickly.
Within a few seconds the sound wasn't just something that was exterior, but it was inside my head as well, reverberating throughout my entire body. It was so loud and it sounded like lightning crashed directly over my head and, in that split second, the trumpet sound thundered throughout my body and throughout the entire world...everything went dark and my bed and the earth shook violently.
In a flash, I was no longer lying on my bed, but I was standing outside my bedroom window in the front yard and I beheld the scene in front of me with tremendous awe. It was still my front yard, only now everything was different. It seemed as if my entire range of vision was a huge 3D movie screen and I was in the middle of it.
The trumpets continued to sound and I saw that the blue, sunny sky had turned black and the clouds churned and the wind blew with a violence that I had never experienced. The corn field was now a sea of wheat that was golden brown and ripe for harvest and I could see every stalk of wheat individually, billions of them. And I watched as the wind thrashed the wheat until it was beaten down by the storm. I now know that the Bible speaks several times about, in the end time, when the wheat is ripe for harvest, how the wheat will be separated from the tares. The tares are gathered and bundled together for burning and the wheat is gathered into the barn.
Then I noticed the dogwood tree. It was mid-July, so of course I know there should not have been any blossoms on it, they usually bloom around Easter...but the tree was in full bloom. I had never seen anything like this. You couldn't see any leaves on the tree because of the millions of dogwood blossoms. It looked as if it were lit from within, by a glowing whitest of white, neon light and it glowed gloriously against the darkened sky. Now, I know the Bible says no man knows the day nor hour that Jesus will return, but if we watch for the signs, we can know the season. I have always felt that He might come back in the spring when the dogwood tree is in bloom. Of all the things that could have been highlighted in a vision; why the dogwood tree? I believe there is a specific message here. (Update: recently, I prayed about this and I feel the Lord placed into my spirit that this represents the fullness of the gentiles coming in).
Just as I was taking all of this in, lightning filled the sky and the trumpets thundered over head again and in an instant there appeared two angels. They were dressed in white robes, facing each other up in the air and blowing golden trumpets. They were huge and filled the sky in front of me and I knew that the entire world must be seeing this as well. When I say huge, I mean like the size of the highest mountains, literally.
I didn't think the trumpets could get any louder, but they grew louder still, building to a great crescendo and I heard a great shout that was louder than anything that you could imagine. And with that shout, it's as if the earth fell silent, the black, violent clouds began to roll back onto themselves from the center of the northeastern sky and I saw light in the distance. It was more a combination of light and clearing of the clouds in the distance that got my attention. As I looked up at this shaft of light and clearing sky, I saw what seemed to be fluttering and movement in the distance. As it came into view, I saw Jesus on a white horse and behind him were millions of angels and saints on white horses. It was at this moment, when I realized what I was seeing, that it disappeared and I was back in my room lying on my bed. Everything was back to normal and I was again looking out at a bright, sunny day.

Paused before he answered the question, "do young children go to heaven when they die". The answer is yes. There is a book of life. In that book every person conceived is written. At the moment of conception your name is written in that book. There is an age of accountability, it starts at puberty. From that point on you have a choice to make. On judgment day your choice , well you get the point. Prior to puberty, your not accountable, you go to heaven. I could go further with this explanation, but ti's too much to type in a comment.

Thank you for this biblical edification about heaven, hell and other Christian practices. Just want to add about purgatory 39:42
Purgatory is what makes the whole Roman Catholic system work. Take out purgatory, it is hard sell to be a catholic. People hang in there because of deception of purgatory. Purgatory is the safety net for carnal human being that when a person die, the person does not go to hell. The person go to purgatory and get things sorted out and finally get to heaven if the person has been a good catholic. Take away that safety net and that is hard sell because in Catholic system, you can never know you are saved, you can never know you are going to heaven. You just keep trying and trying as the priest said on television program that they all engaged in a long journey toward perfection. Well, if you are engaged in a long journey toward perfection, it is pretty discouraging. People in that system guilt-ridden, fear-ridden, no knowledge of whether or not they are going to get into the kingdom. The threat of mortal sin which throws you back out again. And the only thing that makes it works is purgatory. If there is no purgatory, if there is no safety net to catch me and give me some opportunity to get into heaven, it is a second chance, it is another chance after death. I cannot buy into this lie. So, Roman Catholic had to invent purgatory. It is just too much without it. The harm of indulgences selling forgiveness for money. The false gospel of works, you participate in your salvation by your good works, the abomination of idols and relics, prayers for the dead, the perversion of forced celibacy, and so it goes. But at the top of all these is the amazing papacy. The pope is the one at the top of Roman Catholic Church who has in a word usurped the headship of Christ over his church. The Reformers have always understood this: with unashamed boldness, they understand this, and they declared this and they faced death for it.
Martin Luther (1483-1546), Luther proved by the revelations of Daniel and John, by the epistles of Paul, Peter, and Jude says that the reign of antichrist predicted and described in the Bible was none other than the papacy. A holy terror sees their souls, it was antichrist whom they beheld seated on the pontifical throne. This new idea which derived greater strength from the prophetic descriptions launched forth by Luther into the midst contemporaries inflicted the most terrible blow on Roman Catholic. Based on his study of Scripture, Martin Luther finally declared “We here are of the conviction that the papacy is the seat of the true and real antichrist. I owe the pope no other obedience than that I owe to antichrist.” Luther said that “I am persuaded that if at this time, saint Peter in person should preach all the articles on Holy Scripture and only deny the pope’s authority power and primacy and say that the pope is not the head of all christendom, they would cause him (saint Peter) to be hanged. Yet, if Christ Himself were again on earth and should preach without all doubt, the pope would crucify Him again.”
John Knox (1505-1572) the great Scottish presbyterian sought to counteract the tyranny which the pope himself had for so many ages exercised over the church. He himself said the papacy is the very antichrist, pope being the son of perdition of whom Paul speaks.
Thomas Crammer, one of the great martyrs in England died in 1556 said “Where of it follows Rome to be the seed of antichrist and the pope to be the very antichrist himself.
The Westminster Confession was written in 1647 says there is no other head of the church but the LORD Jesus Christ. Nor can the pope of Rome in any sense be head thereof but is that antichrist that man of sin and son of perdition that exalted himself in the church against Christ and all that is called god. It is not that he is the final antichrist but he is in his time and in this age, the very embodiment of antichrist. And Apostle John also says there are many antichrists in the world before the final one (1 John 2:18).

We can all have eternal life through the belief and acceptance of Jesus. Many don't accept his sacrifice. He is the way, the truth and the life. No one can comes to eternal life but through him. He has given us all a gift. Many refuse it.

My take on animals in heaven is this...
Every wild animal without a relationship with someone I doubt will be there, but...
    Hear me out...
I'm single and I have a border collie that is so smart, she is free, never chained and is my everything. Aside from Jesus himself.
I absolutely love her like my child, she is my child.
Goes everywhere with me, we are rarely apart.
I raised her and loved her like no other dog and that's a promise.
She is a gift from God.
If God is love, and Teeka is my child I love with all my heart, I believe she will be there.
I also believe she will not be here to face God's wrath.
What did she ever do to deserve whats coming? Nothing. She is an angel...
I don't see God doing that to me and to her.
I trust in Christ and His justice.

The reason why hell will be a place eternal torment is: God is spirit that cannot die. Likewise, when God breathe his spirit which cannot die into man, man became a living soul. The body - dust from the earth + life giving spirit from God = a living soul. In hell the dust will burn to ashes, but the spirit that cannot die will continue to be tormented with fire forever and ever. Angels are spirit beings that cannot die also.

He has good teaching but I'd like to know , if you recognize your loved ones in heaven does that mean the ones you don't see , like if you see a brother or a sister (kin) and you don't see the other one or ones does that mean you know they didn't make it ? And if so how can you be happy in heaven knowing some didn't make it . Or does that mean, the ppl you do see in heaven you will just by God's power , know who they are but not necessarily know you were kin on earth ?

If hell is the center of the earth, where does it go once the earth is destroyed? “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?”
    ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:10-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.”
    ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭20‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”

There's no way that God would let us have a spiritual connection, with something that doesn't have a spirit. The garden of Eden was literally heaven on earth and there were animals there. And God's word says he loves his animals. I think it's pretty clear we'll have animals and you'll see your pet in heaven.

Nothing lighted by fire lasts eternally, Sodom and Gomorrah did not burn for ever, they turned to ashes, in Psalm 104: 35 it says : May sinners e Consumed from the earth and the wicked be No More, and in Ecclesiastes 12: 7 says Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it , and in 3: 20 says, All go to one place; all are from the dust, and all return to dust, in Genesis Genesis 3: 19 it says,…you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust you shall return, and in Psalms 37: 10,20,36,38 but the wicked shall Perish…shall Amish into smoke, they shal Vanish Away…..passed away and behold, he was no more and there are in Palms very clear sayings as: Ps. 21: 8-9. You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of Your anger. The Lord shall swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire will devour them,Psalm 52: 5 …destroyed😂, Ps.9: 5 ..names blotted out And so on. Malachi 4: 1, 3 …And the day which is coming shall burn them up. Says the Lord of hosts,, “ Thai will leave them neither root nor breach”, in Peter 3: 5,7,10- 12 says: …earth and the heavens will melt with a fervent heat…burned up .Reserved-for fire until the day of judgment and and perdition of ungodly men …all things will be dissolved, there are no mention of burning in hell for ever, there are more passages on day burning and turning to ashes and being destroyed by the glory of His coming. I do not believe in an eternal burning, and I stand on the Bible many other verses teaching a just wrath and fire from heaven that will destroy till all turns to ashes, proof of a loving and not cruel God Father above.❤️❤️❤️

-- "On the day of preperation, at the hour of dinner, there came out pursuers and horsemen" and Polycarp was killed "on *the great day of the Sabbath* at the eighth hour"
(The encyclical epistle of the church at Smyrna, the Martyrdom of Polycarp, Bishop of Smyrna. Verses 7.1 & 8.1 Charles H. Hoole's 1885 translation.)
-- "Again as to the assertion that Sabbath has been abolished. We deny that He has abolished it plainly; for He was Himself Lord of the Sabbath."
    (Archelaus c. 3rd century.)
    -- "Gnostic 8th day Origins"
"They affirm that man was formed on the eighth day, for sometimes they will have him been made on the sixth day, and sometimes on the eighth, unless perchance they mean that the earthly part was formed on the sixth day, but his fleshly part on the eighth, for these two things are distinguished by them."
(Irenaeus of Lyons c. 2nd century.)
-- The Gnostic "Eight Day" origins of Sunday rest.
"But the works of the Nicolaitans in that time were false and troublesome men, who, as ministers under the name of Nicholas, had made for themselves a hersey, to the effect that what might be offered to Idols might be exorcised and eaten, and whoever should have committed fornication might receive peace on the eighth day."
(Victorinious of Pettau c. 3rd century.)
-- "For almost all the churches throughout the world celebrate the mysteries on the Sabbath of every week, yet the Christians of *Alexandria and Rome* on account of some *ancient tradition* cease to do this."
    (Socrates Scholasticus c. 380 - 439 A.D.)
    👉Ancient tradition ~ die solis
-- "There are many here among us now, who fast on the same day as the Jews, [Rome made the Sabbath day a fast] and keep the Sabbaths in the same mannor."
    (John Chrysostom c. 339 - 407 A.D.)
-- 'Primitive Christianity' Athanasius Bishop of Alexandria tells us that "They assemble on Saturday, not that they are infected with Judaism, but only to worship Christ the Lord of the Sabbath"
(Pseudo Athanasius; William Cave c. 1676)
-- "Thus Christ did not at all rescind the Sabbath, He kept the law thereof.....even in the case before us He fulfilled the law while interpreting its condition; moreover, He exhibits in a clear light the different kinds of work, while doing what the law excepts from the sacredness of the Sabbath and while imparting to the Sabbath itself, which from the beginning had been consecrated by the Benediction of the Father. An additional sanctity by His own Beneficent action. For He furnished to this day divine safeguards..... *a course which His adversary would have pursued for some other days, to avoid honouring the Creator's Sabbath* and restoring to the Sabbath the works which were proper for it."
(3rd century Tertillian on the Sabbath.)
    *Council of Laodicea* canon 29 A.D. 363
"Christians must not Judaize by resting on the sabbath day, but must work on that day, rather honoring --the Lord's Day-- [Sun-day] and, if they can, resting as Christians.
But if they they shall be found to be Judaizers, let them be an anathema from Christ."
    ^
Proof that true Christianity still remembered the sabbath day, to keep it Holy, even in the fourth century A.D.
