Imagine how terrifying it'd be to be any other European looking at how the Romans are SUDDENLY GETTING VERY BIG AGAIN.
Scottish watching over you be like
"damn we should help the ottomans in 1444"
I restored rome around 1770 and I was very proud until I saw you took half of castile at 1522 😭
This always happens like this, everything seems fine, but you just blink and...
Pretty lucky too
Don't be sad, it was the best you could do, and can do
Currently it's 1570s in my campaign, I am the HRE emperor with all but the last centralized reforms passed, and have 75 imperial authority. I own almost all of maghreb, also own most of Levant and europe either directly or through pronoia/vassals. Orthodox is the state religion. I swear the pretender rebels mechanic basically allows you to play like a republic while being a monarchy, meaning that you can rapidly gain imperial authority and pass reforms (i got elected as emperor around 1478 , joined hre around 1492 and revoked priviligia aroung 1546). I wanted to do a WC but am struggling with boredom.
@@sasi5841just do it
I love the stuff in this update especially new culturally stuff. Managed to form the roman empire by 1700 and converted most of the Mediterranean to a byzantine culture.
All this from a fairly unskilled player who focuses more larp than efficient gameplay
Seems like they made Byzantium not the utter testicular torture it used to be and actually made reforming the Roman Empire with them viable and more accessible. Still challenging, but with more method to it. I look forward to getting a chance to play as them again soon.
Trust me, No DLC, straight Vanilla, Iron Man, Single Player Byzantium is essentially CBT with how much has to get in your favor.

i had to give up on that idea and just became orthodox ottomans to complete the mare nostrum and roman empire achievements (truly haram, but i was even worse at this game then than i am now)
15:14 "Eastern Roman Empire occupied São João del Rey"
Come on, man, can't you romans spare my own home? Heheh
You make this seem so peaceful and tranquil, meanwhile im over here slamming my keyboard at the end of every EU4 game
😂🤣
I became Greek watching this
Lovely Roman Empire you got and it is actually stable😅 Also nice that added achievements are normal, strange why they were not added long ago, especilly since byzantium is one of the fan favorites
why is east rome is fan favorites can you explain me?
@@mirza_sever8679Rome was one of the greatest empires in the world and I guess people just really like bringing it back from nothing.
@@mirza_sever8679 who does not want to play a what if scenario in which Rome is brought back from the ashes?)
@@mirza_sever8679 Because Rome west or east is Rome and restoring it is fun
What left unsaid : Anti-Unionist revolt
Don't even talk about it, it's just terrible

You love to see Byz into Rome
Cool chill video with nice music :)
Не нажал експанд инфраструктуре на 45 дева в константинополе под гемами,ран не считается,давай по новой.
How did you ignore all the AE/coalitions? I know you doubled the icon of santa claus but still, what other than that in order to take so much land in western europe so fast without a coalition stretching from Portugal to India?
EDIT: Already at 11:04, that insane coalition. And I can only imagine how much worse the AE was after that. Were you just truce-cycling them enough that strong people couldnt join?
Of course + I showed how cheap it was to increase stability, which allows you to attack even during a truce
looks like the clips are out of order haha, nice gameplay though
No duck😢
😢😢🦆 😁
I love the Experience Meme for strategy games
*this video was banned in Turkey*
Huh, why?
@@TheJaydawarlord Not really. The joke here being that you reviving Byzantium and converting all of the Turkish homeland (Anatolia) to Greek culture could be seen as offensive to the Turkish government. I can't be certain, but I am pretty sure, that this video is in fact not actually banned in Turkey. This was just a joke. Don't worry about it.
How do you cope with manpower?
I mean without any mil idea you seem to have a pretty strong army and unlimited MP and MP is one of the biggest problem when conquering quick
Byzantium has a lot of bonuses associated with this + religion, so there were no problems, although usually there are always problems with mp
Thanks henceforth I'll try to beat your run
@@Puget55 Good luck 🤝
eu4 looks like the heavenly child of hoi4 and ck2
Perfection
Thanky you kond sir, for the art-like borders
🤘🤘
bro i cant even beat the ottomans with austria, hungary, the pope, muscovy, and serbia as allys. although i do only have 66hrs and only 9 out of the 18 important DLC
EDIT: if anyone would like to leave tips id be happy to take them
Love the videos, keep it up!
Sorry if I missed it - idea groups? I did a run with Byz but ended up forming it in the 1700s :D

now in 2k wow I love it
Two sieges at -42%? Thats illegal.
It’s quite challenging for Ming player to expand
How on earth do you beat the ottomans in the first war, I’ve been trying for a week now and can’t reliably do it, I’ve been the 2 keyboards already please help
Try to win the easiest way first using strong allies
Cool. Now do a one faith world conquest
Thanks
Im using aragon and unified roman empire
Me too 👊
Friend, what difficulty do you usually play on, do you think it’s possible to give a bonus to the AI?
I play on normal difficulty, if you increase the difficulty level then yes
@@TheJaydawarlord Thanks bro
Help I’m in the 1600s and I am getting coalitioned to death
F
this is some kind of bullshittery, why did Ottomans and others in first 50 years attacked with stacks like 8k or something, in my runs they always try to besiege Macedonia with all their troops. And how did you manage to core everything up early game, with diplo ideas? Must've been too expensive
Pheonix be like

Go do One tag for France with a revoller to Roman empire
I have the dlc but not the same mission tree.
How do you get so many manpower at the start of campaign?
does anyone know whats the song the cat is vibing to at the end?
I wonder how do you manage governing capacity with such empires. Trade Company? idk
spam state houses everywhere.
take admin ideas.
boost governing capacity with government reforms points.
etc...
in the end you dont need to make everything a state
HOW?
I'm a bit sad you didn't use the Iberian and French releasables as Pronoiars.
I just didn’t need it at that moment
@@TheJaydawarlord It's so many free cores though 🤤
@@TheJaydawarlord Yes I was expecting to see you use more of the new pronoia subject but you just did the classic Diplo Admin. Pronoias look so flavorful I will probably play Byz next
Why didn’t you take Malta sooner to get the less war score vs other religions
I thought that I simply wouldn’t have the money to improve the monument, that’s why I took it so late
"a minor inconvenience" *get.out.of.my.screen*
🤣
