Around 3:05 PM on May 31, 2024, Officer Jessica Pizanie with the Hoboken Police Department was dispatched to 528 Washington Street to meet with a 26-year-old woman who had allegedly been punched in her ear by a woman she did not know. After she arrived on scene at 3:09 PM, Officer Pizanie made contact with the caller and she gave the officer a description of her attacker. After taking down her information, Officer Pizanie got in her patrol car to search for a woman matching that description. At 3:17 PM, Officer Pizanie located a woman matching that description in front of 302 Washington Street and immediately recognized her as 37-year-old Jessica Rosewall. She is well known to Hoboken Police based on numerous interactions they have had with her in the past.
Jessica was much more cooperative this time, and even asked Officer Pizanie if she missed her. Officer Pizanie immediately placed Jessica under arrest, and Officer Ramon Calderon arrived on scene to assist. Jessica was put in the patrol car and transported to the Hoboken Police Department by Officer Pizanie, while Officer Calderon followed on his motorcycle. At the Hoboken Police Department, she was searched in more detail and secured to the bench. After Jessica was photographed and finger printed, she was charged with Aggravated Assault (2C:12-1B(7)) and taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

The summary of events was based on records that are “open to public view through open access to public records” as defined in the Salzano case. In Ramos v. Flowers, 429 N.J. Super. 13, the Appellate Division of the Superior Court has also affirmed the right to film law enforcement interactions. - Розваги

Officer knew her name, what a danger.
At what point is enough going to be enough? This individual isn’t simply being a ‘nuisance’, they pose a threat to every person they may come into contact with. I realize she has mental health issues, as well as addiction, but that does not absolve her of accountability or of being responsible of her actions.
It's pointless when people call the police then say they aren't going to go to court. That means the charges will likely be dropped.
all she did is slap someone. no need to house and waste resources on a slap.

Setting aside any mental illness and addictions she may have, this lady actually sounds like a nice person. I wouldn’t label her as “crazy”. She’s a lot better than those screaming banshees that get arrested for OVI!

She thinks she's just catching a ride w/a good friend. She does seem sweet. Definitely has some mental health issues going on on top of addiction. The right meds, right people, will produce the right results for her. Hope shes still on her meds, going to meetings & working. I hope the victim is ok. I know this was scary & it hurt.

Normally, an officer would take a picture of where the assault occurred on the body, but this officer didn’t.
Probably because the victim said she wouldn't go to court. So she knows the charges are gonna be dropped anyway. That's what happens when victims don't follow through. Also simple assault is a slap on the wrist in Jersey.
