    #STSNation,
    Welcome to another episode of Surviving The Survivor, the podcast that brings you the #BestGuests in all of True Crime…
    A shooting at Donald Trump ’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania is being investigated as an attempted assassination of the former president and presumptive Republican nominee, law enforcement officials say … officials are also reportedly investigating as a possible domestic terror act.
    Both president biden and former president Trump called Sunday for unity and resilience as shocked leaders across the political divide reacted to the shooting.
    #BestGuests:

    She has also worked with FBI Academy special agents to study serial offenders, and the links between child abuse, juvenile delinquency, and subsequent perpetration.
    NEW SHOW MASTERMIND ON HULU
    Agent Gregg McCrary entered on duty as a Special Agent with the FBI on December 1, 1969 … I was 5 months old

    I’m not sure the parents are liable for anything, bc he was an adult. He was over 18. The E Crumbley was 15 and under his parents supervision.

    • @kissykay07
      @kissykay07 Місяць тому +1

      I really agree with this. Maybe I was under the wrong impression but I thought a major part of the Crumbley’s being prosecuted was the fact that Ethan was still a minor, not even 16-years-old yet. Also that they also purchased a gun but it was purchased with the idea that it was Ethan’s gun.
      I feel these are much different circumstances and don’t feel Thomas’s parents will be charged.

    • @KapricornKary
      @KapricornKary Місяць тому +5

      I live in Butler PA, altho I wasn't at the rally. Secret service is putting the blame on the local police, Butler Twp, even tho the secret service was in charge of everything, and over all other agencies. They want the blame laid at literally anyone else's feet.

    16:46 Hello to Dr. Burgess. I am one of your Psych CNS students from years ago at Univ of Penn. and am still learning from you. 😊
    You included a multifaceted assessment profile needed for this young man, including the family system, all of which will peel away the layers for all to begin understanding, to begin grieving , and to enable the world to go forward with new insight to develop much needed prevention interventions.
    My boys were quite young when I was going to Penn. In their teens and twenties, I was a Psych Nurse MOM on steroids, and duty 24/7, watching, listening and talking with them, and their friends, teachers, coaches, probably to excess. I just wanted them to stay and be healthy. In their 30s, now, and so blessed.
    All my prayers for the family, and everyone involved.
    Toni Ann Bereskie APRN, PMHCNS-BC, MSN, MBA

    57:41 Host interrupts Dr Anne Burgess during one of her thoughts/musings/questions about the shooters weapon. Where and how did he obtain it and was it his? (Exceptionally valid points give the subject) Host: “By the way…. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt but I’m wearing my luminol shirt today, that’s how you know I’ve gotten too deep into true crime. I walked around Chicago today with this shirt…” Missed an exceptional opportunity for genuine analysis to instead focus on a pointless silique about his attire relationship to true crime.

    He was not bullied at school, he had friends as spoke to from the school counselor. This kid was set up, allowed to feel secure in what he was doing, or he wouldn't have been so bolden. That roof was less sloped than the others very walkable. Almost flat & should have been covered with counter snipers. This whole situation does not pass the smell test, but the government will never answer the questions.

  • @MsMarple
    @MsMarple Місяць тому +1

    As to his choosing a former President, one of the main distributed pics of the killer shows him with a T-shirt depicting Mt. Rushmore. Indicative. As with Ann, I noticed the gender blurring. The pic of him crawling up the roof make him look more female than male, similar to a young man who became a sniper at a parade a couple years back. Two body language details: often smug expression (when not blank) - bad combo. After receiving HS diploma, walks off stage like an 60 yr old man.
    In any case, tho I am DEFINITELY not a fan of Trump, I feel that perimeter security was INEXCUSABLE (as Greg said) for someone in Trump’s position, and very suspicious. I don’t believe the SS is either inept or stupid. I could easily see a third party appealing to this guy’s ego, political views, and wallet to serve as a patsy, a la Oswald. Yet, that third party would have to be very powerful for the SS et al to stand down as they did. But, lots of details just don’t add up well for SS.

      I think ppl make a lot of allowances, however when multiple times in a POD low literature and niche literacy and niche guest selection is on display it surely narrows your audience.
      This is NOT bigoted or racist.. but you corner yourselves with the white middle and old aged Jewish male market. It comes across often as droll, small minded, outdated, self obsessed and dull.
      Half the guests are interesting. But you repeat the problematic ones and don't have enough variety.
      If your show had a family reunion, the hall would be filled with your guests. That's very narrow

      I think it needs looking into, even though he was an adult by definition. If he lived at home with his parents and the fact his dad called the police, they must have assumed he or other people could be in danger. The lack of hygiene worries me too, a lot of teens and young adults are like that, but if it was as bad as they're stating it was and he was bullied in school due to that as well, there's another issue. They could be completely without liability over this, but we should find out.

  • @Jackiedylan541

    Too bad he was killed, he could have offered a lot of info but I think he was silenced for a reason. It all was so well rehearsed like movie Shooter, Trump hit not even from great roof shot and just gets a glass nick no trace on his hands or shirt just visible on check. What a cheep shot. Wonder how they got just the perfect worst rifleman to enlist, weird his parents called police. His dad was #12 in MAGA list of review of supporters in county. Dad had lots of weapons but son couldn’t do well and so he takes on top shooters in multi pronged force and thinks he’ll be ok? None of the evidence fits. Another manipulation of really dense people. Why did his parents call police, they must have had apprehensions but for what? Will remain covered up mystery

    These pictures of the lone assassin are NOT current. He’s maybe 17 or 18 in these pics of him. His parents have NOT released a current photo. This is why they all keep saying “kid”. He was an ADULT of 20 years old.
    Please get other facts correct. He was not the same Thomas Crooks who donated the $15. It was an older man of same name. Please stay current. Thank you.
