Hades are legends! I love their debut …Again Shall Be, one of the best from 1994. Diabolical Fullmoon doing the old Polish BM scene proud, and great Gjendød pick up 👍🍻

That Stangarigel EP is awesome! That band is a side-project of one of the members of another great Slovakian group that you *might* have heard of: Malokarpatan!
And you know how I feel about those NS bands and me deciding not to talk about them on my channel, so... c'est la vie. At least you're able to listen to them with nuance.
Aye that band is are killer, I recognise that name but ill look it up as may be I'm thinking of another band. I know mate, I know it's something some will avoid but I always say that if it's political, then you should know it isn't going to always sit with your own belief's, just take in the music and enjoy it and be of the understanding you don't agree with it. No different to death metal and the vocals that glorify killing people
@@TheDeathDoomMetalHead Malokarpatan's last album from 2023 was awesome! Such a cool mix of 70's prog, first-wave and second-wave black metal.
And that's how I was when *I* used to talk about those bands on my channel, too, but after a while, it just personally bothered me because of how much those bands went against my moral principles, so I just stopped listening to and mentioning those bands on my channel starting with that video I did related to "safer" alternatives that really blew up. That's just how *I* dealt with that thorny subject, though, so... 🤷♂ Everybody deals with it in different ways.

Yeah the subs seem to go up steadily when i don't put out much haha. This video alone has gotten me 30 odd new subs so shows people like the extreme stuff on all sides. I would say give Pan Native Amerikan Front a go, I think you'd get a kick out of that one or the Hades album as it's a classic. Cheers for watching mate.

Nice one Liam! I agree, what the music sounds like is the most important thing. A lot of these bands I don't know, some of them I do. Some of these bands sound right up my street, so I added them to my list. Great to find some new Black Metal 🤘🏻🤘🏻

So it makes sense for Extreme Metal bands to take that to another level. But yeah, some people aren't into it and that's fine. Gjendod fuckin' rules! Have you picked up their new album yet? It's a belter. Hades is a band that I always forget to give a thorough listen. From what I recall, they were solid. Will have to give them a fair shake, eventually. Goatmoon is fantastic. Been on a major kick with that band lately. I've been seeing a lot Diabolical Fullmoon praise on here. Perhaps I should give them an extensive listen. That Satanic Warmaster/Clandestine Blaze split is a masterpiece. Excellent stuff, Liam!
No I have seen it so once I get the chance to nab it I will, still a few more re-issues of theirs I want to get too. Love that Hades album, one the best for chilling out and pretending your a viking haha. Can't go wrong with a bit of Diabolical Full Moon mate!
Hell yeah, Ancestral Shadows! Any band using soundbites from the Lord of the Rings movies has a good chance of winning me over, especially when it's from The Two Towers. I like the full length from 2019 a bit more but both albums are ridiculously good

At the end of the EP's title track there's a brief clip of King Theoden after he was freed from Saruman's spell, and then at the end of the intro track on their full-length is Saruman rallying his Uruk-hai to march on Helm's Deep. First time I heard that I was like "Okay, these guys are some cool nerds"

Gjendød have some great stuff out there, shame that you didn't attempt to pronounce it. Pan-Amerikan is great, cool to see that entering your collection. Hades rules, and they will always be called just Hades by me, hehe. Very cool cover on that Ancestrial Shadows. Like the "hidden" logo effect.

I agree about the Mayhem cover. Can't even look at that picture; just disgusting. I saw someone wearing a patch of it the other day. Don't know why you would want to put *that* on your battle jacket.

I agree, still blows my mind that he did that and all in the name of pushing his band. I grabbed it more for the history of it but also for the macabre side. I actually showed my 12 year old son the other day that cover talking about depression and what can lead to it. Think it got my point across haha I still can't even read Gjendod correctly in my head let alone say it, you Norwegians know your BM! Cheers for watching mate

Yeah I only heard of them a year or two ago and when I found that record for a good price I jumped on it. I haven't had any abuse on the comments yet, seems me telling people to get a grip and that I couldn't give a monkeys paid off haha. Generally, I prefer not to know the lyrics myself so I can project on them my mood and imagination. And agree that if BM starts being about piece & love it will lose it's grit
I agree, very rare I even look at the lyrics but went on a Google hunt to see why so many get upset over GM music. Some songs are wayyyy out there in lala land for me, I appreciate though people have a different outlook on the world. Music has to be angry and hateful sometimes otherwise like you say you lose the aggression and what makes it enjoyable.

great black metal update one band i heard in full recently is demoncy with their 1999 album joined in darkness on baphomet records killjoy pf necrophagias black metal label highly recommend it absolutely amazing cold dark brutal black metal from colorado springs usa pretty much american version of early beherit go check out demoncy liam you will not be disappointed

Secrets Of Laceration is my favourite Clandestine Blaze album, but most of them have got some great tracks. By all accounts the guy is a sh*thead, but still…

Its ridiculous how someone can look at a picture of a dude like that and expect anything else, not even simply NS just something shady and fucked up. Its obvious he's not the guy you bring around your kids, nor should he be simply because hes a musician (and probably barely even that, considering).
I agree but also you shouldn't judge based on their looks. Being a BM artist is one thing and you portray a character to heighten the music and give it an image. I bet in real life he's just a normal dude who is very Finnish and enjoys life the way most of his native people do, he might have different political beliefs but who doesn't. Cheers for watching!
