The RS Q8 does 0-100 in 3.58 in the real world and the Urus does it in 3.43. So theres exactly 0.15 second between them. The official time is 3.8 for RS Q8 and 3.6 for Urus

How about doing some same price mainstream vs premium twin tests. Say a top spec Skoda Superb or Passat vs a low spec E class/A6 etc

The difference though you are not realising is in depreciation. Sell your Urus after 1 year low mileage, currently, you get back what was paid for it. Sell any RS Audi after the same usage, and you will have lost 30-35k. So in most circumstances for how long Urus owners keep a car... it's much cheaper ;o) Currently at least as demand is still way higher than supply - of course this will change at some point.
DeRustix HD do some research first maybe? Urus were selling second hand for the first 8 months after launch for £20k OVER list. My business partner sold his last week 7 months old, 6k mikes for the exact same price he paid for it. I’ve done 18k miles in mine and went a bit nuts with the spec... I was offered £10k under what I paid for it a year ago still. So, you’re wrong.
No, you don't pay 50k for just 0.2 seconds (which in itself is pretty darn huge). You pay 50k for depreciation protection since that Audi will depreciate faster than its own 0-60 time while that Urus will appreciate OR will get you back what you paid for.
Plus, extra 50k for the dream of a lambo that can go _almost_ anywhere. Kinda makes sense if you have the cash. The Urus looks like a _proper_ coupe SUV. Rsq8 looks like a stretched Q7 minus rear seats.
Mind you, I still LOVE the q8. Looks fab, runs fab. But the Urus serves a totally different purpose.
No 50k for the looks and sound and probably holds its value better too as less are made and it's much more desirable
Nope, the RSQ8 is 5 seconds faster around Nurburgring in a slightly damp condition. It just blows my mind, how come? It's heavier with less horsepower and tourque, but managed to go 5 seconds faster. Better suspension & steering?

The difference in UK pricing is more like £80k. So is the Audi a true bargain or the Lamborghini over-priced? I'd like to see a comparison between RSQ8 and the RS6. Meanwhile the SQ7 is a more subtle Supercar SUV which also seats 7. 3 way test?
I will take the RSQ8 and go Holiday for £10,000 and keep the 40,000 for another family car...!!??
The Urus was built based on the Audi Q8 platform which is great. Buying an Urus is a matter of buying a brand name than going for a great and more sleek car really
Is the difference in power anything more than a different map? Car manufacturers are terrible for this at the moment. Lamborghini looks very special inside.

Audi will be cheaper as we know but the 0 to 60 time in the Urus tested is 3 seconds flat in the Audi 3.5 seconds ..there top speed is basically the same .I think both cars look great but the interior in the Urus looks much better.......not to say the Audi looks like crap ....Hard to say until you drive both of them I guess

I think you should really look into that ....The Urus and the Audi are on the same platform etc...basically same time around the ring .....The Urus was tested 0 to 60 in 3 seconds flat ...not 3.8 seconds ...The Audi is slower to 60 and 1/4 mile......The Urus beat the Tesla Suv as well ...Just saying

Respect and love for both companies but I honestly would not pay and extra 50k for basically the same car with a different brand name. They are both the same 4.0T from VW, and technically the Urus is more Audi than it is Lamborghini if we are talking tech, which is mostly what both cars are. Definitely would go for the RSQ8 with a good tune from APR! Would destroy the Urus....

RSQ8 🤤
RSQ8 is clearly almost identical, mechanically, to the Urus. The ring record is more down to driver and commitment (which was evident in bucket loads from the onboard) than the car. Urus seems tuned to slightly more power and torque from the same lump, the suspension is the same. And is this Audi's first 4 wheel steer? Which Lambo have been doing for a while... so clearly there's a technical share both ways. Which is good! When you drive an Urus is REALLY does feel and behave like an Audi though. Nearly double the price for a decent spec. But... the only true cost of a car is depreciation, so considering that Urus are currently selling 6-8 months old at list price still because of demand outstripping supply... thats free motoring if you have £200k to tie up and sell it fast enough!
I will be satisfied only with this video, I don't have the money for such a car.

So they both have the same engine, lamborghini have tweeked theirs, the rs6 and rs7 also share the same engine, so a simple map will put the rsq8 at higher power and torque than a standard urus, and still cheaper. Also I have heard better sounding rs6's than the urus in this video!!!

Miha A entirely down to the driver and level of commitment, so seen the on board from Audi? He was ON IT! Urus is same weight, suspension, with quite a lot higher torque and power. It’s impossible a stock RSQ8 is quicker.

We have an SQ7 in the family which is a very subtle super SUV ( and a RR SVR) but they don't do an RS version in UK. If they do I think one of us will be ordering one.🙂

@@RS-kx2gf . I didn't think so but never know what is available in other markets. The SQ7 is the full spec Vorsprung and as a fast family car it really is difficult to beat. It's big but rear wheel steering makes it very agile for a 7 seat mini bus!!

I'd rather be lofting along in a DBX or Bentayga, at least you're riding in class, comfort and luxury although on the outside still be frowned upon.
Urus still has a 'lofting along' mode... if fact it's floaty and quiet in its default Strada mode. It's only firm/active suspension and shouty exhaust in Corsa.
