- When Lamborghini released their new URUS, people went absolutely nuts for it. After buying one myself, I can't understand why. It's basically just an overprice Audi RS Q8 with a Lamborghini badge to make you feel better about your life.

Wasn’t the consensus on this car being a RS Q8, Cayenne turbo kinda thing since launch? I mean it’s an excellent marketing car that generates buzz, gives lambo a new car which lambo hasn’t introduced for nearly a decade by now, and the mass market loves SUV. Definitely not for the enthusiasts, or even G wagon lovers, etc.

The Urus is just a tuned up RSQ8. The Lambo logo carries an extra charge (100 K+).

Given that Lamborghini’s reliability record was absolutely awful before they were bought by VW/Audi, I don’t mind that it’s Audiesque. I want my 250k SUV to have the latest and reliable tech, which is what this has. And then there’s the sound of its engine and the way it drives. It sure is a Lamborghini.
I was made for a good portion of the video until he made a good point like hey there isnt enough room for you to screw in the backseat and the cupholders suck I'm like hmmm well that's checkmate you got me there.

I own an RSQ8. I can say without hesitation, that the URUS has a much better interior and the RSQ8 has a nice interior, but the Urus is on another level. That's what you're really paying more for. With that said, I think its worth $50-60k more for me, but not $120k more.
I wasn’t a fan of the Urus when it first came out but am starting to warm up to the looks. I agree, it may not be a buy at $250k but at what point is it worth a look? It looks the best of the super SUV’s, drives the fastest, and has the best tech. I like it at $180k or less. At what price point do you love it?

Used ones are selling 70k over NEW Msrp. So a new one at 260k is now selling used for 330k with under 10k miles. Ridiculous. But that’s what’s happening now.

The Urus sounds better than the RSQ8, it’s actually a lot faster than an RSQ8, and personally that spec to me isn’t the best looking as the 23 inch rims make it look aggressive and personally, like the yellow, but each to their own, I think it’s the best Super SUV out compared to the Bentayga which is too heavy to be a super SUV, the Levante which is really bad quality and even the X6m, GLE63 and Cayenne Turbos are very dull in the way you feel, but the urus to me has to exist to make sure that Lamborghini survives and also doing something that wasn’t done before because the RSQ8 came after the Urus.
is not a lot faster in stock form than the rsq8 0-60 one tenth of a second and quarter 2 tenths ,, I spent $ 4000 in my rsq8 and got 740hp vs 640 for the URUS and cost less than half price of a URUS
@@mariohedz Audi RSQ8 stock has been timed in ideal condition at 3.6 seconds to 0-100, a stock Urus in ideal conditions was timed on DragTimes at 3.1-3.2 seconds. And the same goes to the Urus…a simple ECU remap and it can get 780bhp. The Urus will always be faster regardless. It’s still faster in a 1/4 mile drag race, with the extra 49bhp, and the interior looks FAR better. I do think the RSQ8’s interior is nice…it is not $250,000 interior (AUD). The Urus is a lot more expensive even though they use the same technology with a slightly altered interface with the ‘Lamborghini Eye’. Personally a Cayenne’s interior looks a lot more high quality, even a Range Rover or a GLE63 has a far nicer interior (in my own opinion). An Audi representative told me that the RSQ8 won’t be staying around for a while because of the rather disappointing sales. There are more SQ7’s sold than RSQ8’s furthermore the Urus Performante and upcoming plug in hybrid Urus still set it apart. Personally in my opinion, I’d buy the RSQ8 if I couldn’t afford an Urus and I know inside that I’m compromising. The final thing is that the Urus is an investment, a family member of mine ordered a 2021 Grigio Telesto metallic over Rosso Alala interior Urus and sold it for 50,000 over what he paid after 10,000 km and he is waiting for his Urus Performante coming in Q1 2023. The RSQ8 is already depreciating. The RSQ8 to sum up is less engaging, more expensive to run (with depreciation factored in), slower (no matter what you say), cheaper in quality, and if I wanted a practical fast Audi what is the problem with the RS6 which is CHEAPER, FASTER, and hold their value better…

Huh ??? Naa, this thing will smoke an RS Q8 with regards to performance. I'm pretty sure it's been shown to outperform its Audi brother rather empirically...Sure, It's related, but it's tuned differently and the body+suspension, etc, is of a different order. And, I think it's rather fun looking in the usual Lambo 'Transformers' way ...If you have the cash and like the Lambo bling-vibe, it's totally worth it over the Audi. That being said, the RS Q8 is a monster itself!

I have said the same thing since the URUS pics were released. It definitely looks like it's Audi from a far. In no way is it worth the purchase vs the Audi RSQ8. Looks good, but not worth an additional 100k by no means.

It's a novelty. And as is often the case with a novelty, it wears off. All you have to do is to look at the used market that used to be very good with prices over MSRP. Not so now. In a year or two, these are going to tank.

It’s not that bad, in a lambo kind of way. Not for me though. Inside is kind of cool. Sounds ok compared to other SUVs in its class. I wasn’t too impressed with the leather quality on the interior. I would opt for the alcantara. This guy is cocky but I agree with his points. While the Bentayga is not as sporty, it’s has a great engine and very good craftsmanship. I ended up going with the Bentayga and enjoyed it for about a year. The only other option is the Cullinan, which doesn’t do it for me. The new G wagon is also a less expensive but great option. I would have to say that the G, although it handles like a pig, is my favorite. Certainly has the most character. Good video. Always entertaining. Thumbs up to the cocky guy lol
