Nice vid Ian, I’m long CVX and have owned the others off & on for years. I know we’re all about dividends here, but I have a quick question. Do you have any clue why NVIDIA would pay a 0.01 dividend? Why would a great company like this even bother doing that? Thanks..
i am planing on buying vici, pr, nke 1:1:1 to diversify my dividend part of portfolio... what do you think are they "good" buys right now? they are also 3 different industries so the diversification should be enough... i dont want any "financial advice" just your opinion :) to maybe not include 1 of them or maybe go more heavyli into one of them ... just opinion
CVX is a good company. One of the best oil majors. I've always watched that stock, but never pulled the trigger. Their price seems to remain the most stable and thus has lower upside because they are so steady and well run. I did see BP dropped today. That looks interesting.
I started looking into oils a few years back and decided to jump in when I realized that oil is one of the central pillars of our society. Shocker i know.. but I didn't realize just how important it is for more than just running our cars. Our government will go to war, will overthrow leaders, will pay money and make exceptions to protect the US oil interest. We are not always aware of the moves that are being made to protect or secure these positions either, it can be very much under the radar. These sin stocks i have noticed are really top notch companies. Since they have a social force and often legislative forces constantly against them its required that they are pro accountants, pro business men, strategizers and very wiley. I like that. What I discovered in this as well is that a handful of industries are pillars, that is they MUST exist in our society/economy and our government will protect them AT ALL COSTS. Things like railroads, gold, the dollar/pertrodollar/eurodollar, shipping, etc etc. War is one of the major ways we secure these thing, one of the ways we force other countries into debt and into our pocket. So im in on oil for dividends and a certain level of protection against market moves.
With all of the uncertainty in the world the only thing I am certain of is... I will be paying bills for the rest of my life! That is what makes me a dividend growth investor. Thanks for another inspiring video.
Great video, Ian. I took a 5% position in CVX and HESM. While they're not the same, they're both in the Energy sector. I also took a smaller position in Phillips 66 (PSX).
Own CVX, Baker Hughes(Oil platforms etc), Slumberger(Sell the products for drilling oil), Conoco Phillips(COP) (Buying Marathon Oil), Basically CVX and Conoco will be huge FCF machines into the next few decades, the other 2 companies produce the products and equipment which all Countries need to get the oil and refine it etc. Chevron was a buy from Argus and price target of $200 I believe.
Thanks for sharing! I too agree regarding SCHD, and it's almost always on my buy list (especially because I'm still building my position). Wishing you all the greatest! (Disc: I'm long PFE, CVX, and SCHD. My kids are long HSY.)
I love CVX 💪🔥 and HSY is a good company too. PFE is a high starting yield company but I don't like it generally because (from the pandemic forward) it is too tied to the progress of the vaccine. Thank you as always Ian! Giulio, from Italy.
What stock platform do you invest in for your kids? Mine is five years old. Would love a video or I missed it comment with the link. You’re the best. I need a hoodie.
I have a UTMA account through fidelity for both of my boys. It becomes theirs once they turn 21. Easy platform to use, and they have great customer service.
just wrote some CVX puts the other day!! the company seems to be trading at a discount. funny how some of my picks end up being the same as yours! Guess I must be doing something right. Or else we're both doing it wrong hahaha
I have been looking into CEFs. Lots to learn there. For me, with the stocks shared today, I have an extreme level of comfort due to decades of analysis/experience with the companies. So, I tend to do what I know. But, multiple different ways to achieve a similar objective (lower risk cash flow-oriented investing). Wishing you all the greatest.
Long term drag on oil stocks due to climate change initiatives. Things quiet at the moment but if geo political settles down then this discussion will come to the fore again.
Thanks for all your comments, Kevin! I'm looking forward to voting in-person on election day. (I have a feeling the lines may be long, but that's ok.) I do not really share my political opinions here on UA-cam (or at least I try to keep them a bit quiet), because this is dividend investing for everyone. I do hope the election works out for everyone and that our country can move forward in prosperity. I appreciate all of your comments and support. Wishing you a great day!

I bought 500 shares of CVX when it dipped down to 140$ , locked in around 4.5% starting div ! This will be one of the buys I will hold forever !
Thanks so much for sharing! Gotta love it. For me, CVX is buy-and-hold-forever, too. Wishing you all the greatest. (Disc: I'm long CVX)
Very excited to be buying Hershey and Pfizer at these prices. Enjoyed the video
I have CVX and is adding to the position.
Thanks for sharing! (Disc: I'm long CVX)
The three stocks I loaded up last week were: KO, ENB and MO. And will not only re-invest all dividends but will also add 800$ to MO on monthly basis.
I have all three. You might consider half of your MO position in PM.
Another PPCIAN Banger. An OG of dividend social media. At least for me.
Your kind words mean the world to me, truly. THANK YOU, my friend!!!
Great points you made Ian especially about free cash flow in uncertain times.

Does HES have an edge on CVX given the *likely* buyout approval mid- next year?
That is a good question. I am unfamiliar with HES, so I do not have much to add on that topic, but I'll add to my watchlist. Wishing you a great one!
agreed on $CVX + $PFE. also buying!
Thanks for sharing! (Disc: I'm long CVX and PFE)
Ey Cian, why do you prefer Pfizer over CVS? It looks less solid stock
Think Ian gives fractional shares of HSY to trick or treaters ?
😂
Thanks Ian. Bought $TRV during covid crisis for 89$ and CVX for a low low price, paid me pretty good.
Thanks for sharing, my friend! Always appreciate your comments and support! (Disc: I'm long CVX)

Thanks for another great perspective on a couple of great companies :)
SCHD actually offers better diversification since no single company can exceed 4% of the index
I cannot disagree. I love buying SCHD, and it's another one I'm actively buying these days. Thanks for your comment! (Disc: I'm long SCHD)
i hate the expense ratio
Have you considered GPC given its recent drop?
I have not looked at it recently. Thanks for sharing. Will add to my list!

Thanks for the video. Long PFE and have a small starter position in CVX. No HSY at this time. Agree with others; SCHD is a great option.
Thanks for sharing! I too agree regarding SCHD, and it's almost always on my buy list (especially because I'm still building my position). Wishing you all the greatest! (Disc: I'm long PFE, CVX, and SCHD. My kids are long HSY.)
Is O a good buying now $59 dollars?
Altria MO
Ruger RGR
Rumble RUM
Exxon XOM
Are what ive been buying recently. 👍
I love CVX 💪🔥 and HSY is a good company too.
PFE is a high starting yield company but I don't like it generally because (from the pandemic forward) it is too tied to the progress of the vaccine.
Thank you as always Ian!
Giulio, from Italy.
Thanks so much for sharing, my friend. Great insights! (Disc: I'm long CVX and PFE. My kids are long HSY.)
PFE .. I have been buying the dip as well. I need some health exposure plus the Div is nice.
Thanks Ian 🇺🇸
Of course, my friend. Thanks for your longtime support! It means the world to me.
I love chevron!
That smile...Is it from Idaho or CA?
I try to always smile, but the smile might be a little bigger now that I'm in ID! Love it here.
Well done !
I currently have 148 shares Chevron, and plan to never sell. It and Enbridge are my only 4%+ dividend stocks.

I've got a PFE position too wow :)
Thanks so much for sharing! (Disc: I'm long CVX and PFE)
I’m in BRKA since 1980’s. No dividend buy does exceeding well in all markets
I own PFE, but I like HSY I always remember eating captain booty when I was a kid. In my eyes those were a staple to me in my youth
I remember when I was buying chevron under $70.00 during covid. My Best Buy was around $54.00
Such boss moves, my friend! Gotta love it! (Disc: I'm long CVX)
Schd buy dip
I want hersey stock. That needs to come back to 140-150. I don't like that big player that stepped in during the pandemic. They never got out either.
Great video 😊
Thank you, my friend!!!
For some reason NOBODY is talking sbout HMC despite robotics innovations, near lowest price, and significant share buy backs 🤔
How we feeling about MO today?
Absolutely great! (Disc: I’m long MO)
Why not just own CEFs? If you need capital appreciation- actively trade the CEFs when they go up 5%. And then buy another CEF yielding 10-11%
I have been looking into CEFs. Lots to learn there. For me, with the stocks shared today, I have an extreme level of comfort due to decades of analysis/experience with the companies. Ian! I’m voting for President Trump! Joe Biden called me garbage 😮 Thank you for the new dividend video!

not true get the facts straight
Another great video!
The only negative thing about CVX is how expensive they are compared to competition at the pumps. I see more traffic at Arco
Yes, let see how well Chevron does if oil -50%
OXY is better and cheaper
MAGA, MAGA is "ahead."
Long PFE, buy on every dips!!!~
Xom,cvx ,mo, ko, pep, jnj,unh, avgo, o,ma,wm
