I'd like to know if this can be used to straighten shipping bends on your pre-bent lines. All the examples show coil tube inserted from one end but can you fit tube from the side and use it that way?

Shipping bends usually are pressed against the table or wall and fingers held on the white labels allow you to straighten the shipping bend easily...the lines usually come with instructions.

This is correct. A tube straightener is best used for coils. If you feel you need a tool to straighten shipping bends, you may purchase one, but a flat surface like a table will work just fine.
