TurKlack Well, character development of Bastion brings out empathy from viewers as many different elements and themes are shown throughout this trailer: PTSD, redemption, what is worth fighting for, etc. Not to mention that a robot killing machine really stands out in the beautiful environment of nature. Simply put, a persuasion of pathos can really bring people to care about a certain situation if best implemented. This trailer, despite its intentions of promoting a video game, is one of the greatest examples of pulling the strings of human emotions.
