The most likely reason no anchor was provided is that the depth of lake Powell is up to 560’ with average depth around 130’ so with a standard payout of 7:1 the amount of rode/line they would have to provide on average would be over 700’ which isn’t going to happen and the other thing that isn’t going to happen is you pulling up 700’ of rode and anchor.
We just watched this video and it was the most entertaining video! We are sorry that so many things went wrong but was so impressed how you all handled the issues. Love watching you guys.
You two have the best attitudes when it comes to bad situations. Unless it’s Tara’s creative editing! But I guess it could be worse. You could be where you were a few years ago. You know, no travel, no seeing our beautiful country, no spending time together, no new friends to make fun of when they sink in their canoe and lose expensive equipment. You better hang on to them. They actually waited for you to bathe Lucille before y’all left. That’s dedication. Chad, what other Navy buddy are you gonna see shove his betrothed through a small window, with her permission!? So glad I got to see that again! Thanks for including it, Tara. Next time, your turn! 😜 Another good time trip. Thanks guys. Troy
I think it should be emphasized, once again: the AIR FORCE GUY helped y'all out. Probably should've just asked one of us first. 😂😂😂 Good stuff, gang; always enjoy your vids. (GO AIR FORCE!)
Lmao oh dear … Nancy did that window like a champ 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🤣 U both have great energy great attitudes even after all that craziness went down . Thanks for sharing ur journey 💫 Great video 👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks for the video! BTW that rust on the screws attaching your slide topper would indicate water intrusion in that area. This is probably the primary reason the screws pulled out.
We lived in Page for 11 years during the 80's and 90's. The lake was at full pool then and they had to open the spill gates to keep the water from going over the dam. Lone Rock Beach was a few feet from the parking lot. It all looked so very different. To me it truly is the most beautiful place in the country. Loved reliving it through you. Side story---my daughter and her new husband drove through the area on their honeymoon. She was only 10 when we moved. They drove to Lone Rock and got high centered almost immediately. I was trying to warn her when we lost the phone signal. That sand can be wicked!!
I just caught this video! I vacationed at lone rock every year as kid growing up. Actually learned how to water-ski in one of those big coves. My mom would get in the water with us and my dad would pull me away on the ski leaving my mom behind. The Cove was large enough that she was safe. Such good memories. I just was at antelope marina this past June as I kayak and then hiked to Antelope Canyon. Just beautiful.
Last time we were at Lake Powell was in 1986-87…that was so long ago..we were stationed at Hill AFB. We really enjoyed Utah and camping in our 18’ trailer…good times boating on Lake Powell and we brought food and a stove and cooked on a beach. Thanks for another excellent video! Be safe.
Chad & Tara I love keeping up with your travels, sights and yes, frustrations. I like seeing the "real life" side of the RV life. I like seeing the chilly nights in the snow, the times when the tensions are high and all the "fails". Keep the great videos coming and be safe. You are making memories together. All the "fails" will just be laughter in the future when recalling the memories. Thank you for bringing us along on your travels.
You guys sure turned a big series of fails into a very highly entertaining video! Glad you can take it all in stride and still enjoy the lifestyle you have made for yourselves. Can't wait to see the next one. Stay safe out there.
nice water video scenery, It feels like you're right in the water with everybody. Love it! Looks like that lake is evaporating rapidly by the salt stains on the rock formations.
Awe man!!! I grew up camping at Lone Rock beach. We would do 2 weeks of dry camping on the waters edge. My fondest memories are summers spent there. Our group would be anywhere from 10-15 rigs in a big horse shoe. And almost everyday around 3 the wind would roll through and it was a mad dash to put the awnings in and the tent shades down. It’s such a shame you keep missing out on being able to camp there successfully.
Glad a fellow Air Force vet could assist ya'll. Also, next time you are in need of a tow in that part of Utah, please hit up a fellow UA-camr "Matt's Offroad Recovery". They are based out of Hurricane if I remember correctly.
Stayed at Wahweap campground a few years ago. We have friends who live in Page and work at Glen Canyon dam. Had a great visit. Your video brought back great memories.
OK - you guys are great fun to watch. Very encouraging to us as soon to be full timers. I have learned and enjoyed much from your videos. Thank you for your energy and efforts
An awesome video. Things can be very frustrating in the moment but when one looks back the experiences come through and the smiles break out. Keep up the great work! Hope to see you sometime on the road.
Awesomely entertaining video! Phil's kayak experience reminds me of the time when my wife and I got into our friend's inflatable kayak and paddled some in the Wenatchee River. I'm a big guy, and suffice to say, we turned the kayak into a submarine to the laughter of our friends on shore.
Great video guys. Very detailed. I feel like I was on the trip with y’all…. Tell your friend if we are ever locked out and a locksmith isn’t available we know who to call🤣🤣🤣🤣
So we had no plans of stopping here but drove by and remembered your video about staying here. Love the stop but wanted to send you a recent picture because it looks very different.
I'm sorry but i am crying I am laughing so hard and I already saw Phil and Stacy's video 🤣🤣🤣 It just keeps getting better ,but what a great memory !!! Safe Travels guys 💙
Hi Tara Chad thank you for the time yall put in the show. Ive watched mutiple shows where you get bad migranes. A couple of years ago my GF and her daughter got Daith piercings due to frequent migranes and it may be something to look into, it seams that they have gotten about 80% releif from getting the daith piercings. Thx for the time yall put in the show i cant wait to get on the road this summer and am using tips from yalls videos to get prepared. Jason
We stayed at the Antelope Point Marina rv park for ten days August 2020. No restrooms or laundry facilities yet, but we were told they're coming. They do offer cart rides back and forth from the park to the marina itself, which is very nice. We've been camping at Wahweap for years and have had far more bad service than good in that bar/restaurant. The newer one down on the dock is much better.
That was a funny trip,,,,,if it goes to plan it gets boring,,,,,,when you fail,,,,,then it gets Intresting,,especially when your with friends,,stay safe and enjoy,,,,🇺🇸😍
Thanks for your videos, My wife and I are doing our first RV trip to the Grand Canyon, Utah, Wyoming, Montana in May, and really liked your videos and took your advise..You guys are great...
To fun! Sorry you all had a rough go of it. Jodie and I decided we would love to visit that area but maybe in the fall when it's not 100⁰ plus🤪. Some beautiful views though.
THANK YOU for the info on the military pass (America the Beautiful). Just signed up for it and looking forward to using it. Trip planned for Oct 2023 (Crater Lake and Grand Tetons) 5000+miles. Also got RV trip wizard. Thanks for what you two are doing!! Gunny B USMC Retired
With the slide toppers, how about putting something heavy on the edges of them to keep them from flapping. I figure a sand bag, partially filled to no put too much weight on them but just to keep them from flapping in the wind. A couple 8inch round sized rocks? Hell, painters tape from one side up and over to the other? Just keeping from doing what it did... Just a thought..
Hi there! I'm not an RVer, but just found myself binge watching for four hours!! Your video quality, tips, banter, and adventures have me totally captivated! Great stuff. Thank you for making what could have been a boring night, fun! Best and safe wishes on your travels! Who knows, maybe I'm a future camper in the making here:)
Glen Canyon reservoir is a great place to kayak camp. I did a 3 day kayak camping trip there. Warning - it can get extremely windy there. Warning #2 - the available camping spots change as the water level goes up and down. But overall, fantastic play to kayak.
Now I don't feel so bad having an inverter subpanel. Inverter supplies only 1 AC while generator powers the other two. I'm sure you will find the issue and correct it. Right now focusing on Lippert strengthening our frame in way of the forward jacks next Monday. Hoping for the best.
If you have a wood screw that is stripped out, take some toothpicks and stuff then in the hole and break the as close to flush then put the screw back in. Adding wood glue helps too or as you did add some silicone. Works every time
Poor Phil and Stacy. We seen that episode on their channel. It was like we wanted to cry for them but couldn’t help but to laugh. We would’ve had so many bleeps nobody would’ve ever seen that episode 😂
This video is the reason I'm doing the full-time. With my bike also! I'm also retired military, but I have one question "have you ever used or thought about the Gooseneck attachment"?
Hey Guys.. Great video as usual. On the National Parks Pass, anyone 62 and older can purchase a lifetime pass for the one year price of $80. It was $10 until 2017. Butyl tape is good to keep on hand. Fyi, keep it in fridge for an hour or 2 before using. Our RV didnt come with a track for one of our toppers. The screws suck the butyl tape in to the holes. Cheers
Wow! I can’t believe the luck Phil and Stacy have had. First their car then trying to get into their Rv. The tube thing with Phil. Then the kayak. What next? I felt bad for them then was laughing. What were the chances of the luck you all would have. But glad you were all able to eat too from the boat. Chad you had it bad too with the slide topper. But the main us you found a better place to camp and had fun as well. Hope you all have a great night and week and safe travels.
Wondering if Phil & Stacy where able to retrieve their Go Pro? Isn't it amazing, how so many things can go wrong all in a short period of time! Then again, at 110 degrees, that certainly didn't help! Love the video's, and your personalities, so as always, look forward to the next episode!
use a climbing anchor ( rather expensive) it wedges between a rock crevice to secure the rope in case of falling. climbers use then to support their tents hanging off the side when they sleep.
We are laughing so hard as this is: Every. Single. RV Trip. EVER! Yet here we are going full time. What is interesting is that we initally were going to go Tiffen motorhome and Jeep and followed Phil and Stacy then they had a youtube with another Grand Designs Momentum owner, then you guys. We go to the the Dallas RV show on the 24th and already have appt with GD rep. We are only waiting to order our dually after this as we will know exactly what to get. By fall, we expect our 2022 GD Momentum and new diesel Ram 3500 rig to be road ready. Hope to see you guys on the road! (We are life long motorcycle enthusiasts and I grew up dirt biking racing and at a 'tiny' 5' 4.5" and 110 wet handled my loaded (2 of them) Street Glides like a dream, but you will find us ATVing it with our NM barrio and feedlot mutts. BTW, love your Indian. We loved our BMW enduros and looking at larger garage to at least hold a couple of Honda CRF 238 street legals. Otherwise, we rock climb, slack line, and rip it up as OLD althletes. Rock on!
Broken slide topper, lost camera equipment, scorching hot temps, Jeep troubles, no anchor………..good thing you had cold beer !…. Love you guys 😁
It’s those fails that makes the memory of the adventures sweet.
RV door key thats why I have a combo-lock-box hidden. 😀😀😀 👍👍👍 Love your travel video's
Our two fav RVers. Love love love this. Was so cool to meet Chad in Elkhart!
Nice meeting you also! 👍🏼 😊
I'm sooo sorry I laughed on the kayaking part... 😂😂😂
But it was so funny
Hi 👋 Debbie, how are you doing?

Great job your video just completes Stacy and Phil's adventure thank you for the extra footage hilarious
What memories! Between Phil tipping over the Kayak and Stacey's feet in the air, it couldn't get anymore comical!. Thank you for sharing.
I would have needed a drink or two after all that.😂 hats off to you for not blowing up and losing it.
Hurricane,Utah ,I watch Matt's Of Road Recovery channel,the landscape,scenery is amazing.
If you get stuck in Utah , Matt's the one to call 🙂
I think it should be emphasized, once again: the AIR FORCE GUY helped y'all out. Probably should've just asked one of us first. 😂😂😂 Good stuff, gang; always enjoy your vids. (GO AIR FORCE!)
Aim High.
Go Air Force!
Airrrrr POWERRRRR!
Love the video. Especially the Mountain Dew Shirt!! :-D If we ever cross paths, the first round of Dew is one me.
It's always nice to have a good laugh at the expense of good friends
Lmao oh dear … Nancy did that window like a champ 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🤣
U both have great energy great attitudes even after all that craziness went down .
Thanks for sharing ur journey 💫
Great video 👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you for your service to Our Country Chad! And to Tara putting up with you - Lovingly!!
Thanks for the video! BTW that rust on the screws attaching your slide topper would indicate water intrusion in that area. This is probably the primary reason the screws pulled out.
LOVE Your travels. Made me cry as I lost my husband in 2020. We have our Beautiful Momentum landlocked in MO.I miss the Road...Travel on for us.
We are sorry to hear of your husbands loss.
Great video. Poor Phil. Last part Phil in front was better. With all the fails still good times. You guys rock.
I love the four of you together. Such fun!

Hi 👋 Donna, how are you doing?
It’s nice to see friends having a great time. Even if the one kayak starts sinking. Thanks for the entertainment

Hill AFB? Nice. I have worked with that base in my career.
Hi 👋 Mary, how are you doing ?
Love watching you guys! The wife and I have been educating ourselves and decided to take the leap to full-time RV life! We leave in January!
How fun! Thanks for sharing your fun time wth Phil and Stacy. You do so well filming with others watching. Natural and genuine 🥰

Well said. We don’t have control of the fails but we do have control over our response. Theirs was great.
Love Changing Lanes and always happy to see a new video up! Love yall 3000!
nice water video scenery, It feels like you're right in the water with everybody. Love it! Looks like that lake is evaporating rapidly by the salt stains on the rock formations.
Hi 👋 Mary, how are you doing?
Oh man, what an adventure. I am so glad I have to rv lock that if I leave my remote I can still enter a number code to open the door
Ahhhh the memories made!! Phil n Stacy are the best!

Wow. Thanks for posting this. I thoroughly enjoyed and learned so much from this video. I look forward to watching more of your videos!

You guys are definitely funny when together.
We enjoyed this one a lot.
Hillarious episode. Even thou I had already watched some of these on their channel, still funny to watch again...
This is one Dam great video 👍🏼♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I like these cross channel videos, funny stuff you two. I enjoyed watching your desert/beach adventures.
What a great video. Love to see two UA-camrs do a joint video. Lots try this but you mostly only see the host channel peps. Great job!

Next time try kayaking Horseshoe Bend. Its a great trip that starts at Lees Ferry. WE love your videos and adventures.
Your video made my day God bless you and your family

You guys ALWAYS have fun together. Hope he got his gopro back. Safe travels!!
Hi 👋 Linda, how are you doing?
Hey Guys.. Great video as usual.
On the National Parks Pass, anyone 62 and older can purchase a lifetime pass for the one year price of $80. It was $10 until 2017. But, as government does, they want to make as much off of everyone as possible. Thanks for all your time and effort making videos. Question, How do you put up with, Phil and Stacy? 🤣Lol
Very cool, thanks for sharing.
Wondering if Phil & Stacy where able to retrieve their Go Pro? Isn't it amazing, how so many things can go wrong all in a short period of time! Then again, at 110 degrees, that certainly didn't help! Love the video's, and your personalities, so as always, look forward to the next episode!
Hei guys. I am ur subs from indonesia. I hope you upload more frequently👍 good video
Hey Chad, did that new kayak only come with one paddle? Sorry Tara, just yanking your chain again!! Lol
use a climbing anchor ( rather expensive) it wedges between a rock crevice to secure the rope in case of falling. climbers use then to support their tents hanging off the side when they sleep.
It's usually the situations you get into that give the most memories! Love your channel and the opportunity to meet with you at Balloon Fiesta.

Edward Abbey would love that new campground.
OMG! I am dying with laughter here of watching stacy disappear in the window!!
Looks like a great time !! Friends make things better!!
Fun adventure! Love what you do!

We really hope to meet you someday down the road - Just not anywhere near water. - lol
Oh God! Lol glad you guys could make the best of the adventures. :)
Time to get rvlock as a sponsor. I have two of them on our SportTrek 332vbh. Worth every penny. No more getting locked out.
Cool video guys, love watching.
