I reference this tutorial annually. It is the most understandable and clear organized Xero training I have found. What a lifesaver this has been. Thank you so much! You are a very great teacher!
Hello. Thank you for posting this in-depth and concise training of the csv file. My friend was having trouble with the csv file and you are the only one who explained about the column formatting, ie. the date a certain way, no commas in the amount. Once I changed those two columns to conform, the csv file imported correctly. I had watched several other youtubers about the csv file and not one of them mentioned about the formatting. So glad I found yours!
do you have a video of how to enter the monthly statement balances. I can import the CSV fine, but where do I put opening and closing statement balances?
Thanks for this - you're a great teacher I'm still not sure exactly sure of one little step - how to import my statement to the CSV file from the Bank PDF - but I'll have a go.
Hi, thank you for this, may I ask if there is a way to import Spend and Receive money transaction as well, to reconcile the bank statement? not the Bank Statement itself, what i mean is to clear or reconcile bank statement, without using any tool? thank you
Hi Nuts, I enjoyed watching your tutorial. I followed step by step your tips, but in the end, I realised the balance needed to be corrected. My Xero is connected to my bank account, and I reconcile transactions daily. My question is: do I need to upload CSV file in any case? many thanks
Hi, Ms. Sharon! Could you teach how to handle reconciling items pertaining to prior years, say outstanding checks, unbooked transactions, deposit in transit etc. if the Xero user has set a locked date. I understand one can not reconcile/create any transactions dated before the lock date.
I already downloaded the CSV template from XERO and filled it according to the instructions, but it still got an error when I import the bank statement
Thanks for the tutorial. I just imported the bank statement CSV file to Xero. But it's showing out some of the transaction can be reconciled (OK), and majority of the transactions can't be reconciled. So may I know what should I do, just to create it ?...🙏🙏
Hi Arthur! 👏 Well done! Once you have imported your bank statement into Xero, you will need to do bank reconciliation. Follow along the bank reconciliation tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/4-1tyg4pQZw/v-deo.html 😃 Keep me updated of your progress!
Hi Luck Souk! If you need to delete bank statement, you may do so at the bank statements tab. Just click on the checkboxes to select the transactions that you would like to delete and hit the delete button. :)
hi ms, im fresh graduate so i try to use xero (trial version) is your bank statement real? when u press manage account? is there another way to practice?
Hi m.sadik! Thanks for letting me know! I would like to know more about how I can help you. Which part (or parts) of Xero or bookkeeping do you think is difficult and you need guidance? Which one will you learn first?
Hi Amanie! You only need to import bank transactions once only. If you reimport the same CSV file with the same bank transactions, you will have duplicate entries which will differ from your bank statement. If you found out you've imported the wrong transactions, delete it from Xero before importing the correct ones.
Have you import CSV file in Xero before? What is the next Xero Accounting tutorial you would like to learn?
Comment below and let me know!😀
very useful and easy to understand
Really helpful to new learners, thank you mam
