I main Support; These are the types of players who cause me to go "that's enough Overwatch for today". Incredibly frustrating to play with and are often really aggressive and easy to tilt.
I sorta main DPS, not even I, that like to play Tracer, Sombra and Venture, over extend this much, I always try to do it easy for my supports by coming back to them and maintaining LOS or coming back to them before they have to overextend to heal my dumbass
even if they are bad for example the bastion cannot peek them without a tank or else he is gonna get deleted unless one of the supports were playing baptist and the dps was smart enought to stay in a corner (so they can't shot the lamp)
As a low rank support, the best way to tell you're doing your job is when the enemy team ignores the rest of your team to hard focus you. For the whole match. 😂
The mercy flying into the entire team at the start, the tank being suicidal the entire match, the pharrah sniping with her ultimate, the Lifeweaver running into the Mauga to petal him… this whole game was insane
Personally I think anyone in the lower rankings typing "diff" in chat are the worst types of players. Not to mention when the worst player on the team types in "diff" against someone else who actually was doing their job fine drives me nuts. It's bad enough you're just rude but being rude AND the worst player on the team like c'mon. Pick a lane.
Most people do that as a joke to get a reaction. Happens in basically every competitive game, worst player on the winning team types gg ez and watches the reaction.
Lol i know right 😂 One time some guy typed diff gg ez after we lost. He was playing dps and had 9 kills, and the rest of his team had around 25. His team did a great job carrying him. He shoulda thanked them and say gg instead of being mean and acting like he did something lmao. My team, we were very uncoordinated. especially near the end. I tried my best to heal them 🫡
Honestly people do not realize just how slippery weaver really is. I’ve had games where I was literally being dove but I could just infinitely petal and rejuvenating dash to toss out another petal to basically never die and keep my team alive
Agree that LW can be slippery but if you have a Sombra committed to making your life miserable, it can be tough, especially if they combo with a Tracer or Reaper.
I think its worse if they are playing echo than if they were playing sombra but sombra is still very brutal. But echo can't do anything against her, so you are force to either switch or play extremely safe. At least with sombra I know I might have a chance if I have a good plan in mind before the team fight starts and even if I know I can't kill or necessarily get away easily I can waste a whole lot of time till my team trades their backline before they kill me. Which actually been working out for me 4 out of 5 times, I had a sombra last week rage quit after I killed her three times in a 1 v 1 and she was 5-9 in a masters game. though if I was to coach someone to do that it would be impossible because its rapidly changing depending on map and team comp plus ult situation. It legit all game sense. Though with echo I'm at a complete loss, as you can't do your acrobatics against her and if your team peels for you, your most likely going to lose the fight because you're so far back that it completely leaves your team at the mercy of the 4 enemy players who have their cooldowns and space to wipe your team out. Even when I coached a silver player we manage to avoid dying to the sombra player but when they switched to echo he died like 12 times.
Bruh I watch so many of these videos and they help my gameplay a lot ! However I’m running into a problem now where I need my teammates to watch these videos 😂
@@JakR4bbitanyone playing this game that cares when someone starts a comment with bruh should uninstall the game and throw out your PC. You are a part of the toxic community that nobody likes
There were many "?" moments but to be honest they didn't play that bad, I understand the struggle with the tank constantly feeding especially with Zen's discord on them, there's nothing to do in this situation
I think he could of worked on his life grip angles, as too many times he was either too close (so even if he had pulled the orisa I pretty confident he would have still died as he would be just a little bit further than before) or had no angle while that could have been easily fixed. I'll give you example but there are a lot of them through out this game. third point first defence. they had two fights, the first he was too close. if he had legit been at the corner instead in the middle of the big open hallway, if had pull which he didn't at least orisa would of had a chance to take cover strait after being pulled. What the orisa did afterwards wasn't really his fault but if he had pulled away into a better position they're team would have been able to push up and he would have most likely not have been able to break los like he did. Than there was the second fight, the retake which was even worse. When you position directly behind the payload you limit the amount of vision you have overall which he didn't need to do, I was not surprise he did not react to orisa dying the third time at this point. Alternative, maybe after he put down his tree (which I did not like that much anyways) he could've gone to the top right. In fact I would have gone top right strait away but he decided to place down tree and use it for cover. I really didn't like the ult because they had Orisa ult and it would be more helpful to put it a bit further up so orisa could push forward and get a good location to use her ult (you have to play at the pace of your tank even if his a feeder) and survive afterwards. Even if he got into trouble because you are top right you have plenty of vision to see what is happening and the immediate danger. Even if he had somehow missed the pull and let orisa died he would still be in a good location as mercy managed to rez him back up and he would of been in angle for the second time the orisa got into dangerous territory (the tank would not have been able to break los again like he did). Sorry to make it an essay but there was so much he could have done even if his tank is a feeder, I think he was justifiably frustrated as I would be too but there were many ways for him to make a huge difference in these fights and he did not do it. Too add on: Sorry for this to be so long but tonight I just had a match where I had extremely bad tank in a quickplay game, I wasn't playing lw but kiriko but we still won because I knew what was needed to win the fight even if we had an incredibly bad tank worse than this one (imagine a muaga that never used his overdrive ability or didn't know how to use it and charge head first into the enemy team. They guy after three rounds ended with 9 deaths and only 450 healing and this was koth) This guy was so bad that at first I thought he was doing a no overdrive challenge for a video until he switched off muaga to play ram for a minute before switching back. But even though I knew this guy was bad I did not go and flame, partly because I don't care in fact i made a joke in voice chat about it when I said lol I thought he recording a youtube video and trying to challenge himself and everyone was laughing and just had fun with it. I just knew what to do and thankfully I had much better mechanics and game sense than the enemy team and even kept my muaga up in a lot of the fights. It is possible, it is definitely an unpleasant experience definitely if it happens in your ranked games but because this game is so low elo just a bit more thought or understanding how to play into this situation would have completely flipped this game.
To be fair, I would argue that they did play it pretty bad for the most part. They had good plays, but their consistency wasn’t there at all, that’s why he had to bring up petal every 5 seconds. On top of that, they are judging their value entirely off of healing numbers, when a TON of lifeweavers kit provides benefits that are not healing numbers. They’re ignoring so many uses of their kit.
Literally played a game last night as Lifeweaver and my Duo on Moira (not a great match up but we always make it work) and Tank was playing Tank Roulette. Every time he died, he'd switch to a different tank. He stuck with hog for a bit and would just walk onto the point by himself, die then spam chat "Supp Suck! Heal me!" We'd wait for him to respawn and move with him. While helping our DPS, he'd again, walk onto the point with our Moira. She was healing him, the whole enemy team was there. She pulled back, he'd refuse to get off the point. I gripped him back. He immediately walked back onto the point again with no health, die then spam chat again. He finished the game with 2-8. We tried different supports to keep him up so he'd shut up but he really thought he would take the whole team by himself as Hog. (Our DPS kept losing the fight to a widow so me and Moira would take pop shots at her to get her to move so our DPS could actually join the fight) Not the best game on any of our ends but that hog was so miserable and stupid
Lifeweaver Escort Map Tip: If you’re on attack and want to ult, but don’t want the payload to be left behind, tree the payload. You can use it to better block sights, and the tree on cart can still heal people on the ground. Perfect for mobile burst healing.
I don't like doing that because the payload already provides enough cover if you play there for whatever reason (you shouldn't really especially on attack) and tree provides good enough cover. Alternative maybe you put it in front of the payload so when your tank pushes past the payload to attack the enemy team or chase down they can use the tree for cover while you use the payload for cover. and if your worried about mobile heals if the payload is uncontested an moving forward (which by the way if it is contested what are you doing on it if its not OT) you are moving alongside your tree and not leaving it behind.
I support main in silver/gold and just the other day I was getting flamed for not enough heals as ana. Every time the tank or dps needed me, they were out of LOS. I switched to LW, who has a bit more leeway on healing through some objects as long as his orb is sent to the teammate before they passed behind the obstacle, and lo and behold, when sight lines weren't an issue, we won the game.
So you have a pharmercy, which means most lkely the mercy is going to hard pocket pharah, which also means you're going to be the only one responsible for keeping your tank and the other dps alive, yet you picked lifeweaver. Why? Your tank is taking a crazy amount of damage and is running in every fight. Find a way to capitalize off of that. Lifeweaver's ult is very slow to build up and lifeweaver itself doesn't have the utility to be able to keep your team alive long enough for you to get your ult. Here are some alternatives. - Go Ana, keep using the nade on your tank and keep him alive as long as possible, pump him with heals, you should be getting nano every fight, as well as your dps and tank building ult every fight. Keep your distance as to stay alive and keep building nano. You can also occasionally nade the enemies to push them back, which lets your tank take even more space. - Go Moira, do the same, pump your tank with heals as much as possible, you should be getting coalescence every fight as well here, which you can use to support your tank's aggressive playstyle. Moira's mobility should be enough to make sure that the tank doesn't leave you behind since he's playing Orisa. - Go Baptiste, use your two abilities to keep the tank alive as much as possible, you have enough mobility with Baptiste to stay alive, especially with your tank being such a big fat target, basically no one's going to shoot you. - Go Brigitte, brawl with the tank. Make sure you're not out in the open, stay behind the tank as much as possible and always near cover. Save your shield bash to dash out whenever your tank dies. If you do this correctly, you should be getting rally at least every other fight. The loss isn't your fault. It's probably the tank's fault. But if you want to climb, you have to know how to win games like these. Sitting there and blaming your team instead of figuring out what YOU could have done to carry that match to a win is how you get stuck in a rank.
This advice is good if you want to rank up faster. But not if you actually want to improve on the hero. (Obviously.) but comp is imo one of the best ways to see if you’ve improved with a character.
As a support and mainly Lifeweaver pkayer this is the most truly experience, tank lost or just run in, dps out of position , you trying hard but still get flame
That Orisa might have been super aggressive in a bad way but if it were me on support I would have swapped to Kiriko, Baptiste or Anna because it would make it a lot easier to stay in better positions while still being able to heal the Orisa.
@supersoaker317 that implies your teammate understands how to make the most out of your petal. While I agree, a Bap, Ana, or Kiri are easier since only YOU can give those abilities and understand how to max the value of them.
Something I notice from the lifeweaver is their positioning is poor. If you're playing support and you find yourself being out of los all the time from your team, you're either staying in the far back, playing a bit to frontlinie, or position awkwardly where it's difficult for them to los for their team. And also don't be afraid to take aggressive positioning with your tank but be smart with it. Know your escape route as you take aggressive positions. Make sure you maintain your los with all your teammates as well. And what Emongg says, use your petals more. Use your petals to take high ground positioning especially on third point where you can stay on the high grounds. Even your petal can act as a high ground. Edit: I want to add if your tank is running it down and feeding then there's really nothing you can do about it yeah. But if you look at your positioning and you'll find yourself being in awkward position that you spend your time trying to los to heal or playing a bit too back or frontlining.
im abt halfway through, but so far im thinking abt two other things too. one, sometimes it can be better to, i dont know how to explain really, but load the flower up a little bit instead of all the way to 80 so you can heal faster, ive heard this tip from probably emongg b4, just that he hasnt brought it up now. and second, its really useful to ping enemies sometimes. two instances ive notices, like when they walked straight to the cass without their team really being aware he was there, and when they were trying to cap point and a soj (i think) was standing in the sniper window, also, the way it looked to me, quite unnoticed by their team. i really rely on this as a supp main, like if i can get a dps to notice and go in there instead of me and i can stand back and heal them if needed its much more likely neither of us get rolled
Another thing I like doing with LW is using the petal to prevent the enemy from making plays and help you’re team make a play, I’ll explain; In minute 7:37 the LW could’ve canceled the Orisa ult by placing a petal under her, ( emmong said that but I commented before hearing him) and with the Zarya you can put a petal beneath you’re team to raise you up and out of the pull. And if you are being flanked a petal and a pull can make a big difference. For helping the team; Let’s take Cass for example, his ult requires a clear view from the enemy so high ground is a must, something a LW petal can give. And another example is Soldier who is a similar case to Cass.
i fs was, also it didnt help that the lag for me is AWFUL. Like when in the replay it looked like I was just standing there and shooting, for my screen, they were still shooting a the rest of my team, and didn't look at me until soj got me, also my controller doesn't like to pick up inputs, so sometimes it looked like my pull was on cd when it wasn't. switch ow is amazing guys
@@mocheerio tbh the only tilting part of the game was feeling like I had to be where I could see everyone at all times so that I could keep them up. Also doesn't help the only other support i'm good at is lucio lol
@@caesar5006 The description makes it look like you weren't at fault but you didn't do the best job at healing (where loading up your heals way to much so with you and mercy your team had low healing and no damage coming from the supports) or keeping your team up either. it was just a bad game from your whole team.
life weavers greatest ability is the petal, it can give you the high ground, an overview on everything. it can be rotated, most wont shoot you up there or even shoot the petal down not unless you are close to them/ last one alive. and gripping a player about to die on a petal is even better since they also gain the high ground in which they wont get killed when you grip them. but what i do most is be at the absolute max limit of grip. so being the furthest away from tank at all times so you can get that long range grip that saves tank. but that isnt needed on a choke. or just be on high ground. my account has the most playtime on lw that i could be considered a lw main but as of late queueing all 3 gives me tank more often rather than supp, plus i have also been broading out my skills on getting better of other tanks and supp so i have not been playing lw much. currently im a gold tank and supp but i mostly play unranked, i could probably strive to go higher. using a keyboard and mouse instead of a controller would probably help with that.
I'm having a fever, I slept like 3 hours in the last 30 hours and my head hurts as fuck. The only thing making me go through the day are your videos. Thank you 🥰
I understand why the teammates complained about healing. It's because they'Ve been training to keep the aggressive tank alive :D I have one suggestion for you buddy. In cases specific like this, you pick Moira.
I personally do not like Moira for this comp, even with full or heals and left click they fall over. I think you just need those moments of immortality with a Kiri suzu, immo field, LW grip or ana nade is super important
Tbh you don’t really need to pre-petal because 9/10 times your teammate will randomly use it thus making the effectiveness of the cooldown management useless, it’s better to improve reaction time of quickly looking downwards and using petal since it’s near instantaneous.
I've tried pre-petal, but it doesn't seem to grant much value. The game is too dynamic in my matches to be an effective escape. Even in this video I questioned where LW was supposed to pre-petal for an escape? The teams moved so much that it would have been better to use for high ground DPS or healing vision.
The number of times where they favored damage that didn't do anything instead of healing their team is hard to watch... (The bgm at the start took me by surprise, I use the same remix while Chatting on streams hahaha)
I notice the lifeweaver’s movement is really… slow? I don’t know how to explain it, maybe the sensitivity is unusually low. Also, they keep healing to full 80, I usually go for around 38-60 in fights and a full 80 when it’s calmer. Waiting for a full 80 when a teammate is low and is about to take more damage when you can give 38x2 when they do take a bit of damage so they don’t die immediately. I’m likely being nit picky but it can make more of a difference
i feel like a lot of LW players fall into the trap of “i need to charge my heal until 80 or else i won’t do good heals” sometimes it’s just better to spam 40s when ur tank is mid fight just to get more consistent heals going
Another thing I noticed as someone who plays a lot of Lifeweaver is how long they're holding their heals. Lifeweaver has a pretty high rate of healing, but the wind up is slower compared to someone like Ana or Bap. You don't have to wait until it's fully charged to keep your teammates up, and sometimes a steady stream of healing at like 75% charge is better than waiting for it to charge completely. So, to summarize: 1. Terrible positioning 2. Lack of utility (petal) 3. Horrible ult placement 4. Some really questionable grabs, which happens sometimes to me, too. 5. Holding heals too long 6. Massive tunnel vision
I’d also argue that they’re holding their heals for too long. LW’s heals are adequate enough at about 75%-80% max power. Granted after all the updates supports are kinda struggling.
I wanna say if or when I play wife leaver I put trees on payload not all the time but mostly then petal around it to dance in the canopy with someone I pull up with me great for Lucy's too
What also would help is not charging the healing up to 80 every time. Spam the healing so you can heal faster. Leave the 80 healing for moments your tank/dps arent threatened by the enemy team but you won a team fight and need to heal, for example
Biggest issues I see as a d1 supp main: 1. Fully charging every LW heal, getting 10-20-30-40 heals is FINE if they’re being actively shot. Don’t always all-or-not your healing. 2. Petal usage, you have the ability find a way to use it. It’s not there for nothing. 3. DPS. Of course LW’s main value isn’t from damage but hear me out. Plenty of times I see LW shooting randomly towards the enemy tank charging Zarya and that’s my issue. If you’re going to shoot at least don’t buff the enemy tank in the process.
Personally, i dont play lifeweaver that often, but when i do, during the fight, i almost never fully charge the heal. It is important to get healing out quickly, to get over certain damage thresholds when teamates are low. A good rule of thumb to start with, is only charge if you are at the beginning of the fight or, if you are mostly dealing with poke damage. but when half the team is cirtical, you need to get everyone above the 1 shot till death thresholds quickly, so spamming it out would actually be more suitable, instead of charging to 80 healing
They did a good job but if they werent trying to do so much damage as lw a good amount of deaths could've been prevented he has an amazing healing out put and that combined with his pull and ult hes a great support use cover and stay at range with lw and place petal to help get away cause if you're doing your job as lw you are going to get dived
Another thing I have noticed he is doing is that he is charging his heal too much, he is waiting for it to reach 50-60 before healing instead of pumping heals, lower heals, but more in shorter time.
I actually like using my petals for my teammates instead of myself. Creates another angle of fire, and if they’re low on health, they can just drop. Hard to kill someone mid fall
As a switch gold player, we get shit everyday, just for playing, thus why I don’t go into voice chat anymore, and for some reason, on switch, there will always be at least 1 person who doesn’t know how to play, 2 who are assholes.
Under-using cooldowns is always worse than over-using cooldowns. At least when you overuse your cooldowns you have the chance of it actually working. When you just don’t use your cooldowns, you’re basically shooting yourself in the foot and making it harder for your team.
Honestly, some of this feels like me playing Lifeweaver with my friends and one of them being a super aggressive Rein. Nice and all being aggressive but charging in at about 25% health ain't the right choice against 5 of them. *yoinks* Love them but damn they can be aggravating sometimes. Generally could only play Quickplay with them, but with the new changes it would be a very wide group matching. 1 Master and 4 Bronzes lets go.
I feel like a lot of the times their teammates died was bc lw was charging their heals for too long. Any amount of heals would’ve helped a lot of the time.
This Lifeweaver also damaged too much in some situations were healing should have been a priority. Also being a little looser on when aiming the heals will help heal higher need teammates.
Healing doesn’t even matter. I had 17,000 healing and still lost. My team just kept falling apart, kept rushing in and then not taking care of the people in our backline.
i saw myself in that match so do speak am just grad i stopped playing at least for now am in nirvania. Also if you are on payload maps you can just ult on top of the payload so the ult follows your advance and payload+tree you got a mobile wall that heals
one thing i would say is if you know the Orisa is playing aggressive and taking so much damage, why are you dpsing when she goes in? Like yeah she's not playing well but it did seem like he just stopped trying to keep her alive
I think it's crazy no one is talking about how slow this LW is healing. Not every heal has to be charged to 80. In the first few minutes of the game their team just fell over and it's primarily because they were healing once every 5 seconds, their Mercy dying only made their slow healing feel even worse.
7:10 I gotta ask. Emongg says to put a pedal down anywhere. Why? LW has ult, team is in a choke pushing into a double corner, team is in clear los, there are no threats from an enemy dive like sombra/tracer (maybe moira?). Other than giving Orisa access to the high ground path around the building (which we're confident they wouldn't take) why should LW pre-petal in this situation?
I mean its silver so i am not surprised, but as a support player it was stressing me out how little this player even looked at their dps. Only at 11:00 so maybe that changes. Just want to add in terms of utilizing the kit especially petal... if your not going to use/need it, as in not getting dived. You can also use it for teammates. Dont be afraid to toss it. Ping it. And set your teammates up with height, angles, etc... i get in silver they probably activate it and instantly walk off but just thinking about things like that is proactive.
Emongg has had one gold thing to say about the LW’s gameplay and it was a reaction to an ult… But you really wanna use petal there… and I mean *really* wanna use petal. I hate to say this… Skill based match making. I think the best play here was the petal to grav, it didn’t do anything but it demonstrates at least a fundamental understanding of the hero, more strats like that.
LW was a bad pick for this particular match. Both LW and Mercy are not doing good in this meta, so either you are a GM or the composition needs to be in their favor, which wasn't the case. For what I saw, the team tried to adjust, but the Orisa and LW didn't. By the end of the match the other supp had the right idea changing to Kiriko, trying to keep the Orisa alive; I think a Brig was the best option for that tank play-style so you can brawl with them, hell, even a Moira so you could kept the pace (and Moira is a good pick against Zarya). By the time there was a Mauga, a Zen-Ana would have annihilate him. Yeah, it's not one's fault and, honestly, with that tank it was mostly a lost game, but neither support was giving the team the utility they needed, and for climbing up is either adjusting or being perfect.
Idk the tank wasn’t great but this weaver was also not good at all. He had 50/50 pulls, almost zero peddle use, dps when he should’ve been healing his tank/dps and almost every ult was terrible
That's Silver 3 game play?! No way I'm B2 and was yelling pull, peddle and heal only for Emongg to confirm the action. Maybe I should fire up my Switch and switch from PC to Switch.
One thing ive sort of noticed is theres more value to the way you play the game other than stats. Sure you can have 15k healing but how much was self healing? Why was 15k necessary? I sort of value deaths, and the individual character stats over anything because especially with elims, you know how many elims are actually yours, and not because you were there to contribute to the fight, whereas deaths arent accumilated by your team mates, but solely you. Personally i use stats to sort of figure out how much of an advantage the team has overall to the enemy and thats about it
The fact you use that like a movement ability like some kind of enhanced jump drives me wild. That shit gives you sight lines and cover from ground enemies and you just instantly jump off!
Their bad decisions later in the video are probably because they were running on tilt at that point and not thinking straight. Thats happened to me plenty of times as any class. The way that orisa played is one of the reasons why i hate orisa players, i had an orisa like this, i was mercy and she kept running in and getting rolled, the other healer was ana and they were focusing on holding the point we were supposed to defend with the other dps, rather than going to the enemy spawn and eventually getting rolled because thats what happens when you over extend to the enemy spawn.

Multiple times I put a petal down for a get away, and a random teammate just uses it for no reason
This is what happens 90% of the time, they jump on it then jump right off again
Literally I try keeping my cooldowns effectively and my cloaked sombra will use it. Like, brooo you have no NEED.
One time my team rein used the petal, did firestricks and got down LOL
Literally, you put it down for later and your tracer gets on it to wave at you and then teleport away. like?? that was for later??
still better than not using it at all. also you want to place it in a position with low traffic to avoid people accidentally using it.

They use the LW petal like it is Bap jump, they immediately jump in the air and then get off the petal back onto the floor every time.
Yes!!! I noticed that too, like why did they keep immediately jumping off 😭
there's a few phrases i hear on repeat in my brain when i play this game thanks to emon's videos:
"Kitsune....kitsune.....kitsune!"
"PETAL!"
Kitsune especially 😭😭
Bruh I watch so many of these videos and they help my gameplay a lot ! However I’m running into a problem now where I need my teammates to watch these videos 😂
you need to ask them if they watch him before the match starts so you know if they got some braincells or not xD

I don't think overwatch switch is claiming that 😂
To be honest, I hate it. People should play the heros they love, not meta
There were many "?" moments but to be honest they didn't play that bad, I understand the struggle with the tank constantly feeding especially with Zen's discord on them, there's nothing to do in this situation
Life grip?
You’re high. That was a very bad weaver game, he was just watching his team die the whole time will doing dmg instead of healing
"That was a pull, that was... Explain"😂😂😂😂😂
As a Switch player, I can hear the sounds of the fan overheating in the background of every single team fight
I would argue your positioning isn't the best, but that depends on their team comp if they can snipe you or dive you.
Tank feeding but Lifeweaver does not know how to use their kit. Needs def more practice
Actually really good advice on the tactics behind picking for the comp.
Lifeweaver is also really good for positioning with petal it has won me games. As a plus it can block a decent amount of damage.
@@supersoaker317 I'd probably go Bap just for the immortality field for that Orisa lol.
@supersoaker317 that implies your teammate understands how to make the most out of your petal. While I agree, a Bap, Ana, or Kiri are easier since only YOU can give those abilities and understand how to max the value of them.
@@skittlemenow that is fair enough
@@darksnytaxdoessmash8168 I guess I was more talking about positioning for myself since the tank wanted to push so far that he'd be los.
An issue that I always end up bumping into as LW is that when I use petal, even when I think I am far away, my teammates always seem to go under it :/
Pull gets funky sometimes. If you can jump before the pull while on petal it tends to be more successful.
@@zarlus8 I think they meant they run under it and break LOS, happens to me a lot on LW
As a support main that occasionally has to flex to LW, there were like 3 Orisa deaths this game caused by them doing DPS instead of charging a heal.
im abt halfway through, but so far im thinking abt two other things too. one, sometimes it can be better to, i dont know how to explain really, but load the flower up a little bit instead of all the way to 80 so you can heal faster, ive heard this tip from probably emongg b4, just that he hasnt brought it up now. and second, its really useful to ping enemies sometimes. two instances ive notices, like when they walked straight to the cass without their team really being aware he was there, and when they were trying to cap point and a soj (i think) was standing in the sniper window, also, the way it looked to me, quite unnoticed by their team. i really rely on this as a supp main, like if i can get a dps to notice and go in there instead of me and i can stand back and heal them if needed its much more likely neither of us get rolled
Another thing I like doing with LW is using the petal to prevent the enemy from making plays and help you’re team make a play, I’ll explain;
In minute 7:37 the LW could’ve canceled the Orisa ult by placing a petal under her, ( emmong said that but I commented before hearing him) and with the Zarya you can put a petal beneath you’re team to raise you up and out of the pull. And if you are being flanked a petal and a pull can make a big difference.
For helping the team; Let’s take Cass for example, his ult requires a clear view from the enemy so high ground is a must, something a LW petal can give. And another example is Soldier who is a similar case to Cass.
I think the lifeweaver was tilting during their overtime defense
i fs was, also it didnt help that the lag for me is AWFUL.
@@caesar5006 yeah that's alright, tilting games happen. I just know that sojourn was annoying with nobody on your team looking at her lol
Thank you 🥰
The aggressive tree is something I've not actually thought of..nice.
Posting a Lifeweaver video on Lifeweaver’s birthday POG
Lifeweaver can also petal souls to help mercy rez
I learned so much from this. Thank you!!
If a tank is feeding. Capitalize on it. The enemies are distracted!
So focused on using cooldowns effectively. They end up using cooldowns less than they should.
Ground Weaver feels so weird since it's literally not used for anything, not even as a jump pad for him or his team
As a lifewiver main im in pain for him to not use his petal
The tank keeps trying to get into the back line which in result, is getting them focused and rolled.
i feel like a lot of LW players fall into the trap of “i need to charge my heal until 80 or else i won’t do good heals” sometimes it’s just better to spam 40s when ur tank is mid fight just to get more consistent heals going
OMG A FELLOW SWITCH PLAYER!! BLESS UP MY FAMILY ARENT THE ONLY ONES 😭
take a shot everytime he says "pedal"
That feel when you turn on a video only to find the computer is on the wrong playback device and you missed the "alright so"
I want to point out that the LW kept charing the heal to the maximum, wasting time, and that they kept shooting at the zarya bubble charging her up
Another thing I noticed as someone who plays a lot of Lifeweaver is how long they're holding their heals. Lifeweaver has a pretty high rate of healing, but the wind up is slower compared to someone like Ana or Bap. You don't have to wait until it's fully charged to keep your teammates up, and sometimes a steady stream of healing at like 75% charge is better than waiting for it to charge completely.
So, to summarize:
1. Terrible positioning
2. Lack of utility (petal)
3. Horrible ult placement
4. Some really questionable grabs, which happens sometimes to me, too.
5. Holding heals too long
6. Massive tunnel vision
It actually feels like this LW scares themselves with their own petal. They're trying to play this like Moira, and that ain't it.
Biggest issues I see as a d1 supp main:
What hurts me is when your team says diff and you're just sitting there like "i did nothing special at all that game"
The tree got 14000 heals it pains me to him dps while his teammates was dying.
I think lowkey the LW just lost faith from that pharaoh ult onwards because i could feel the loss of energy
Under-using cooldowns is always worse than over-using cooldowns.
At least when you overuse your cooldowns you have the chance of it actually working. When you just don’t use your cooldowns, you’re basically shooting yourself in the foot and making it harder for your team.
7:37 he was able to prevent the ult with the petal
Honestly, some of this feels like me playing Lifeweaver with my friends and one of them being a super aggressive Rein. Nice and all being aggressive but charging in at about 25% health ain't the right choice against 5 of them. *yoinks* Love them but damn they can be aggravating sometimes. Generally could only play Quickplay with them, but with the new changes it would be a very wide group matching. 1 Master and 4 Bronzes lets go.
I feel like the Lifeweaver just played too aggressively when he should have put supported the team and hope they were able to take them out.
They need to not charge their blossoms up as much to keep up with burst damage. And petal more obvs
I feel like a lot of the times their teammates died was bc lw was charging their heals for too long. Any amount of heals would’ve helped a lot of the time.
The weaver never really gets much chance to get them to full HP because the tank is LITERALLY fighting in the open!!!😂😂
This tank has one speed and it's TURBO-FEED!
This Lifeweaver also damaged too much in some situations were healing should have been a priority. Also being a little looser on when aiming the heals will help heal higher need teammates.
I think he wants him to use petal? Idk not sure yet… I’ll have to watch again.
Healing doesn’t even matter. I had 17,000 healing and still lost. My team just kept falling apart, kept rushing in and then not taking care of the people in our backline.
i saw myself in that match so do speak am just grad i stopped playing at least for now am in nirvania. Also if you are on payload maps you can just ult on top of the payload so the ult follows your advance and payload+tree you got a mobile wall that heals
im also guilty of saving petal for a quick escape
12:18 how long has that platform been up there?
one thing i would say is if you know the Orisa is playing aggressive and taking so much damage, why are you dpsing when she goes in? Like yeah she's not playing well but it did seem like he just stopped trying to keep her alive
15:36 maybe they forgot they were playing against real people. in vs ai the bots will just stand on lw's platform until it falls.
I think it's crazy no one is talking about how slow this LW is healing. Not every heal has to be charged to 80. In the first few minutes of the game their team just fell over and it's primarily because they were healing once every 5 seconds, their Mercy dying only made their slow healing feel even worse.
i cant explain it but i love these
7:10 I gotta ask.
Ping it. And set your teammates up with height, angles, etc... i get in silver they probably activate it and instantly walk off but just thinking about things like that is proactive.
why is this map so frequent on this lol
Emongg has had one gold thing to say about the LW’s gameplay and it was a reaction to an ult… But you really wanna use petal there… and I mean *really* wanna use petal. I hate to say this… Skill based match making.
I think the best play here was the petal to grav, it didn’t do anything but it demonstrates at least a fundamental understanding of the hero, more strats like that.
Honestly with practice I can see this lw being REALLY solid
this guy HAS to be using gyro aim, first time ive ever seen that in OW
He has a video expectating a bastion player with gyro
2 out of 3 times I saw their widow die, was being killed by the other widow … but yeah definitely a heal dif there.
i've played with this tank before. Always blames supports.
Weaver and tank were both tossing
Personally i use stats to sort of figure out how much of an advantage the team has overall to the enemy and thats about it
i understand the struggle but as a LW main this is absolutely painful to watch lmfao
Randomizer suggestion, Reaper with Dash and Moira fade. Earth shatter ultimate.
The fact you use that like a movement ability like some kind of enhanced jump drives me wild. That shit gives you sight lines and cover from ground enemies and you just instantly jump off!
This is def a silver game alright 😂😂😂
Everybody standing in the middle of the road, no highground no nothing 😂😂😂
FINALLY A SWITCH GAMER
Their bad decisions later in the video are probably because they were running on tilt at that point and not thinking straight. Thats happened to me plenty of times as any class. The way that orisa played is one of the reasons why i hate orisa players, i had an orisa like this, i was mercy and she kept running in and getting rolled, the other healer was ana and they were focusing on holding the point we were supposed to defend with the other dps, rather than going to the enemy spawn and eventually getting rolled because thats what happens when you over extend to the enemy spawn.
