Great review! The Abarth 500 isn’t that common here in the US, but I got to drive one last year and it was really fun! The 1.4 liter engine had tons of character, but I felt like it had too much turbo lag. The Akrapovič exhaust on your test car sounds awesome! Significantly better than standard.
Oh isn’t it?! They are SO common here in the UK 😳 It definitely is a fun car to drive, but needs a couple of adjustments in my opinion. The exhaust adds another level of fun into the driving experience!
Absolutely love these Abarths! Again a nie review Grace and as you said, the sound of that Akrapovic exhaust is just adorable... I really love driving these type of cars, I'm very curious about the differences with the JCW as a daily driver.
Thank you again for watching another video. I think the car is more comparable to the Cooper S, maybe I’ll see if Mini can lend me one of those to compare against it? Nonetheless, a fun car to drive, just needs a couple of tweaks 🤓
In my opinion this is fun and quick mini hatch, but this formula is clearly overdue even with 180 Hp we cannot forget that nothing really changed since Grande Punto Abarth just the weight. I've reckon that the Punto it was a better and more balanced product, starting with the distance between the two axels especially in high speeds. I agree with you the Mini is a much more grown up product and the 2.0 is more updated and powerful, could be not so sharp and nervous as it's older brother R56 but is clearly more mature with an all rounder capability. I enjoyed a lot the comparison, very good and detailed Review.
Wow! Thank you for your comment, I appreciate all of that information - highly informative. Again, thank you for your support, I appreciate your comments on my videos 😁
Not as good as a Mini JCW 231hp, especially because it only has 160hp a Mini Cooper S has at least 190hp. It definitely doesn’t look as good as a JCW but the exhaust does sound good.....
How many times are you going to call it a hot hatch, Where's the hatch? Also they aren't red side skirts. If you are going to go to the trouble of making a video surely it is worth a little due diligence to prevent your presentation being irrelevant.

Great review Grace :)
Great sound for such a small car.
Thank you for watching! Ah the sound is great, I think it’s what makes this car next level 🔥

@@gracedavies5716 I'd be very interested to see that comparison!
Exhaust does sound good! I’m with you, I’d go for a hardtop! And I do like the carbon dash 👏🏻 still have to go for a JCW though 😉
Doesn’t it just?! I couldn’t help but drop gears more frequently just to hear it 🤩 JCW will always have my heart I think!
