I just bowled with Jason Couch at a Pro-Am earlier this week and I can clearly say that even in 2023, he still has that high backswing and he's a real cool dude too.
This is one tournament where I think Pete cranked more than ever. That strike at 16:05 is awesome! The ball is thrown out there for burgers and fries, and it comes back for steak and baked potatoes. And the ball just plows through the pins with no deflection, and splits through the 8 and 9 pins. Perfect-o!
damn what a stacked tv final of legends here! Aulby! PDW! Walter Ray! Parker! Couch! even in the later years always loved to see Parker and Jason Couch in in their classic lefty vs lefty battles!
@yuppiehi/I like your analogy. Turned the corner at 47-48 ft. and that concrete truck hit the pins like it was nobodys business. I've seen Pete Weber bowl since he was 16. Almost every telecast, in person swing the 3rd arrow, 4th arrow here, over the guttercap and between the 5th & th arrow, swing the track area, straight down the track, swing the ditch, straight down the ditch. Every type of ball because he doesn't have a favorite. Super good rhythm and great mechanics. Explosive release. Marvelous intensity. Without being biased even though I might be. And even though he isn't my No.1 favorite ever, he is probably THE BEST BOWLER THAT EVER LIVED. (Duke, Walter Ray, Roth, then Anthony in that order are my modest picks). Just my perspectives. And my opinions.
Class of 1997 Chris McLean, Nosedive Flashblade, Tommy Oliver, Rocky DeSantos, Adam Parks, Aisha Campbell, Tanya Sloan, Katherine Hillard, Claire Redfield, Jack Hunter, Ashley Banks, Rudy Huxtables, Violet Vanderfleet.
For some reason I never realized how little Aulby was using his right hand to hold the ball when setting up. He's just barely touching the ball with his finger tips! He's basically a one armed bowler!!! Just crazy to think about that.
@Monk Amani Oh, you poor baby! You were stupid enough to read the comments section before you watched the games, and you got your feelings hurt. Go cry on your mother's shoulder!
Couch with that pocket shot 7 count. I did the exact same shot when I bowled a 297. That score makes it look like I shanked it but it was a decent shot.
When Im having a bad day, time and again, i come back to this video. Seeing Pete Weber throw multiple gutters in the same telecast ALWAYS makes me grin. Never gets old seeing that prick implode.
@David Krueger. Hi David! I have fraternal twin cousins named David and Dennis Krueger. They're 6'4" tall. Their sister's name is Jeanne. Their late mother's name was Lucille. Does any of that sound familiar to you?

Mike A is a pillsbury doughboy 😮 look a like of Johnny P. Pete has a new wife every other show. 😮 😂 😅 Nobody liked walter's smug know it all attitude, so boring but great.😮
I’m not gonna lie watching this with the commercials brings back a lot of memory’s

Great watch, great bowling. And great memories. That Weber Williams match was really something, what a comeback!

Ask yourself three things before commenting:is it true ,is it kind,is it necessary.
Tell Douglas Harris that. He's very rude.
Don't feel bad, even the best can chuck it in the channel!
Congratulations Parker Bohn III for winning the championship game! 🎳
Just couldn't help yourself. 🙃Spoiler🙂

Looking good in 1997 Jason.. Great game great shots you got robbed..

I had one… yeah no.
Pete Weber throws a gutter at 9:23.
He still won both of those games.

Couch release at best damn.. Awesome..
1997 babies: Haley Kay Long, Mushi Sanban.
Lol Couch saying "pocket shot" like he had some bad luck... it was just a bad first ball
That was an epic title match
Check out the following weeks title match where they bowl in Vegas, it was an epic one too. Parker shoots 299 that show one of the games.
Didn't realize this comment was over 2 years ago lol
This is a crazy show just to think these legends were just like the belmos, ej tacketts, and simos of the time making all the shows
No beer commercials ??😂
that baritone voice
Parker Bohn was locked in with that Danger Zone
Dang! An all star team.
This lineup is crazy

Yes. That was an exciting match. Parker Bohn III won by just 4 pins!!!!
I think this was the last time Pete Weber beat Walter Ray Williams Jr on TV
I believe it was the only time he beat him on tv....
@@dreman1970 PDW has 3 wins over WRW 2 singles in 97 and 1 back in 1988 showboat doubles with Brian Voss
Pete lost to Walter Ray Willams Jr during the St. Clair Classic back in 1997. And years later at the Dydo Japan Cup back in 2006.

What I'd like to see is Walter Ray bowl with a horseshoe
