Very complex, really hitting those resonant notes. Reminds me Stuff Smith, who had an aggressive style in the 1930s and 1940s. Other swing violinists include Eddie South, Federico Britos, Claude Williams, Joe Venuti, Ray Nance, and Sven Asmussen. Chet Baker Band Meets Sylvester here. I love it so much.
Speaking of disco strings 70s I would like to ask you the riffs of violins were made with the solina or a mellotron or were real violins played? I never understood it
It depends. The big productions with lots of money would hire string players. Big producers like Cerrone worked with orchestra's and lots of smaller pop acts used Solina's, ARP's or other string synthesizers. Chic, Nile Rodgers, Sister Sledge used string players, you can really hear that. I think the rock bands were more into Mellotron strings, check out King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Yes and many more.
the disco stabs in the seventies yes. The best violin 'falls' I have found so far are in Reason Orchestra, but Kontakt and other sample libraries must have them as well.
Cyribro there are no oscillator settings, other than turning on the violin, viola, brass and other instruments on/off. The typical Solina string sound comes from the ensemble/chorus effect on the divide-down oscillators. There are a couple of plugin versions like the eSline Sling.
Nice! Such virtuosity! How many mistakes made/takes before you were able to finally edit the video into one continuous performance? :-)

Have you tried re-strings RE? There is Solina "Violin Mod Basic" which is quite close
Fantastic also in Reason: VNS Long f.sxt
@renrizmusic but very far from finished :)
it's only the very very rough start of a new track made in an hour :)
lol
What did you use for the drum sounds? Is it a sample pack/kit?
The hihats are from the Ueberschall disco pack, the kick and snare are from my trustworthy Roland 707
string ensemble
nice!
can you tell me the osc settings on your equipment there? I'm trying to get that sound in a soft synth..

+Aux tha Masterfader do you know how to recreate with a soft synth? because I love that sound!!!
It's not bad at all but I would have thrown some cow bell in there or maybe some clarinet and accordion and gone with more of a polka beat .
Boring....
Boriiiiing!!!
