One of the oldest showbizes, I think there was a murder around there but this is still sad. RIP Davenport late because nobody really bothered like the others
I actually live in davenport and only been there a few times it was fun while it lasted when I got back from college I noticed the sign was gone and I was heart broken
Omg I remember my 4th birthday there! My mom says I cried at the mascot coming up to me 😂 also the animatronics scared a dumb 4 year old me too lol. Thinking about it now I miss them. Before it closed for good I always wanted to go back and see them but I was too old for it my mom said.
The only CEC I’ve ever been too, this location in specific was my childhood The only problems with the stage in 2017 is that Jasper’s hand wouldn’t touch the guitar when playing (as shown here 4:40), and the disco lights didn’t work
@@ItzaRob 2003? Would that be phase 4? or a later version of phase 3? Because if you look at the store tour from captain unusual the sky tubes were with in the former showroom (were the ceiling was raised)
@@realPizza_Rat_Entertainment It’s not called Phase 4, that’s an incorrect term. The 2003 remodel was when “Phase 4” originally started, though it wasn’t pushed out massively until 2005, hence the 2005 Update to the 2003 Remodel.
When you mentioned Omaha, Nebraska that made me think of living in the cold state of Iowa right next to a golf course that made me think of a time in 2009 in the good ole year of the ox when my parents had a pontoon boat and we had a new cat named Midnight (2008 or 2009 - 2022) and he gave the boat a cat scan and when he saw land he jumped into the water and my mom was surprised that Midnight jumped into the water. The people on the golf course were surprised that it was a person that fell in the water, but it actually was a cat that fell into the water. In 2016 in the good ole year of the monkey we figured out that Midnight was a Bombay cat because the neighbors of a kid that I went to elementary school with told us that he was a Bombay.
Yes I always wondered what they meant by storybook characters since none of the RAE characters come from storybooks and none of the characters on the picture are in the show , i would like to know more behind the intent of that sign 😮
Do you have enough info to do the history about the Macsway Rd location in Columbus Ohio. It’s been closed since Covid but it’s my childhood Showbiz and would love to learn the history behind this location if possible
It's so weird to see Macsway Ave brought up here, since I'm from Columbus and moved to Davenport several years back. The Macsway location was my favorite. The animatronics were in pretty good shape, and my heart broke when I learned it closed.
I use cheese-e-pedia as the basis of my info, and I search around on UA-cam and Google to find other stuff, usually using the search terms "[insert location area] Showbiz Pizza Place" and "[Insert location area] Chuck E. Cheese" in order to find photos and footage.
@@ItzaRob thanks man! I found info but no photos or footage which makes me sad :( my show stage was immediately removed in 2018. Very short lived. I treasured it while it was there since I was in the fandom from a young age

@@sonicsonic2022 What's saying they would have had newer cosmetics at the time? There's no footage/photos of the location which would point to them having new cosmetics, as the oldest footage/photos of them if we don't count the commercial would be 1988.
Sharonville, Ohio had the newer cosmetics from opening day til they closed and Cincinnati Colerin too. So Davenport would have had the standards rae cosmetics.
@@sonicsonic2022 hmm. Davenport opened in February of 1981, and I highly doubt that the newer cosmetics were being used by then. Sharknville opened in October, so there’s still that gap where they could’ve had the beta cosmetics. Cincinnati colerain too. It opened in November, so these stores opened after Davenport. Unless we know for sure when this commercial was recorded we can’t really confirm it’s not Davenport.

I think that “Storybook Characters” banner might be there because of an event that was held by the time that photo was taken, but I might be wrong.
Rest in piece to this location, closed around 2 months ago.

im so sad it closed 😢 😭 Sad Childhood memories there
is it known if the kept the showroom walls in the phase 3 remodel
They always did, usually they were torn down with the 2003 Remodel though.

Those beta photos were from a old commercial I might be wrong
It was poor judgement on my end, in hindsight (and a bit of research) the footage doesn’t appear to be from Davenport.
@@ItzaRob I’m pretty sure it might be Jacksonville cause in photos is Jacksonville fl the mask of dook is super similar
Jasper was bought by a UA-cam channel named rockafire moon
