  • In this video, Josh from Byers TimberTech shares some of his products with Greg. He installs them, tells us a little about them and then Greg and Erik try out the products. There's definitely a little bit of a learning curve at first, but after day 2 of using the Acculift, Greg and Erik have decided it's staying on and especially Erik can't go back to the Woodland Mills lift. He loves the electronic component of the lift and feels that overall, it's a timesaver. We are also happy with the TimberVue and the and the Tension Gauge.
We received these products for free, but this review is our own opinion and we tried to be very honest, as you will see in the video. If you are interested, we hope you will check out Byers TimberTech :

Did you know we are building a barn out of wood that we are milling on our own sawmill?! If you haven't followed along with our BARN Build, make sure to check out that series in our playlists. We finished the slab last summer and are on a pause while we mill all of the lumber needed for the barn build. We have A LOT of milling in our future.
Here is the video where we share our barn plans. Our plans are from ‪@BarnGeek‬ We are excited to build one of his beautiful barns!
    • Why Do We Think WE CAN...
***We are also so excited to have completed our sawmill cover enclosure (sawmill shed). Definitely check out our Sawmill Playlist to watch it all happen. We have shared the process of building our sawmill cover from the very beginning. We have a Woodland Mills HM130 Max sawmill and we live in North Idaho. The sawmill cover / sawmill shed is vital to continue milling for our barn build in the winter months, but it will also be a great way to keep out of the sun during the summer months, and of course all of the rain, in between!
Here is a link to the video that shares the sawmill cover / sawmill shed build from start to finish:
    • Sawmill Cover Build - ...
Here are the specs on the sawmill cover / sawmill shed we built:
    3 posts in the front
    4 posts in the back
Overall dimensions are 15 feet wide by 36 feet long
    Longest beam is 28 feet
Front part of the lean to roof is 11'9" and back is 8'
    It will have a 3 :12 pitch
    Posts and beams are going to be 7 1/2" x 7 1/2"
We have shared the entire build!

Howdy y’all- really nice of them to come out and demonstrate their products. I can see where the power lift readout would be really nice. Great video. God bless

Hi, Paul! Pretty cool that you don’t have to keep measuring and going back and forth with the saw head. Thanks for watching! 😊

Looks like some great upgrades. Even with the slower speed for the up and down, it might not take longer because you are getting the desired cut depth right away. When I think about the time that it took to measure with the jigs that you were using or walking around with a tape measure you probably aren't taking any more time to get an accurate cut. It will be nice to see the power feed.
Between the Ripper 37 blades and these upgrades, you might want to start thinking about more buildings! Or maybe Erik will want a building!!

Nice to hear from you Mike!
These hobby saw mills are prime for upgrades. They need to sell them at a price point that is appealing but that means that they don’t come with a lot of bells and whistles.
Erik does need to build something- I’ll owe him a couple thousand hours after my project is complete 😁

Great review video ! Looks like a pretty good deal when you get it all figured out :) I don't think I'd like the slow up- down but that digital read out is a big plus for sure, I get the odd 1" a 1/6" thick & usually it starts with the cant that's a 1/6" thick, I'm ok with that they find their place on a project, they just go in a different pile :)

Thank you! Speed is slower than what we are used to but fact that Erik likes it (overall) better than the Woodland Mills lift says a lot. 😁

Dear sir, what are your thoughts on the tension gage. Adjusting your band tension via the torque wrench method vs this gage do you think the tension is higher or lower? If it works? $30 dollars is cheap.

After day 2 of using the AccuLift, Erik said he couldn't go back to our previous lift. He really likes the fact that it saves you from having to manually measure and that fact made up for it raising/lowering a little bit slower than our previous one. The AccuLift was definitely the star of the show, but the other products are going to be beneficial as well! What do you think of these products? Do you have any add ons to your sawmill? Hope you enjoy this video! 😊

Just watched your new video with Josh. Going to get several of these products.
Talked with Josh either today. Have a 2014 hm126 and the lift will work on it.
He said that he’s going to probably offer one where the screen faces the operator. So I’ll get one then.
I’ve been using ripper 37’s since the first of the year. I love them.

Hi, Steve, yes, it can. On their website, go to products, choose AccuLift. At the bottom of its description it names the mills it’s compatible with. Under contact us, they share their phone number and I’m sure they’d be happy to help answer any questions you have. Hope this helps! 😊

In my humble opinion this upgrades absolutely junk I won't get them for free. Super slow and useless

    • @ourdreaminthewoods
      @ourdreaminthewoods  2 місяці тому +2

I don’t think it’s junk at all. Speed is an issue but in the end it did not decrease our production. Keeping track of where the saw head cuts saves a lot of time and calculating in the end.

I had woodmill saw it was ok ,but the biggest issue was slow up down. So I got woodmizer so much better. So slow thing is super big issue for everyone. I ran saw every day I know what I'm saying
