I am surprised that he didn't mention the fact that the poles on the S-500 can be individually raised or lowered. This system allows you to really dial in the balance and tone you prefer. It provides so many options.

I prefer the tone of the Legacy but I want the push pull of the S500. I might just get the Legacy and try to wire the push pull myself. The Legacy also has a better selection of finishes

I have both the s500 and the legacy. I was told the Legacy body was American ash. Quite heavy. The s500 is much lighter and its very apparent that its swamp ash. I like both and couldn't imagine being without either of them. When I go play live I make a choice based on the moment and whichever one I bring I just adapt to the differences and play accordingly.
I also have a Comanche that is a mohogany body. The biggest dilemma I have is which one to bring. I wouldn't change anything on them

I had a Legacy. It had a swiming pool route. I now have a Legacy Deluxe Hardtail. No pick guard at all.

I'm in this pickle right now, legacy or s500 for my first G&L so thanks for the video. I have to say my absolute favorite thing I saw today was a Laney LX series amp. I been also wanting one of those or the lg for a long while so it was great to hear one as they are not in my area. Loved it! Thanks again.

@@sansgaming69 Very heavy with that Mahogany body and it looks slightly bigger than a typical S style. Ultimately I traded it away. I dont mind heavy guitars but not with an S style. In it's defense it was flawless in every other way the bridge especially but I found myself using it less over time as it wasn't a fun pick up and play guitar for me. If I am in the market again for this type of guitar Legacy it is.

The Sire S7 shares market niche with these two.
    How does it compare???
    Also there's Vintage v6
    and Michael Kelly 1965
    and Sterling Cutlass CT50
    and Godin Session
They all look groovy to little old me

well, s-500 sounds like a good deal. I don't dig the glassy tone of strat any way, just want its clarity and versatility. Now I have a wilder tone option, maybe I'll just go for s-500.

NOBODY demonstrating G&L uses the VIBRATO, and is that because it wrecks the tuning? Or is it any good?

I have both a Legacy and a S-500 and find the vibrato much better than Fender vibrato in terms of staying in tune

the legacy are maked with mahogany. maybe that one you are testing maybe is made with basswood

If it's a clear finish it'll be swamp ash, most other finishes its basswood or nato (NOT mahogany). I have a Tribute Fallout they say is mahogany but it's probably just nato. The specs do change from time to time so it's wise to keep an eye on glguitars.com. It should also be noted that Tribute Legacy fretboards are 12" not 9" . If you want a 9" either get a custom Legacy or look at the Tribute ASATs they have 9" radius boards.

suenan horribles...no se fijan en eso al hacer el video? o es la manera de tocar, o es el seteo del ampli pero ni parecida a una fender de verdad
