Me too!..I was about 13 then..and I simply did not understand why they suddenly disappeared..THAT was a "Tragedy" to me...something was missing then...I didn't see them as a threat to other music(dominant maybe), but Michael Jackson became equally dominant only 4-5 years later, and I really didn't see him as a threat to other music either...and I don't remember any "backlash" against Michael really...just never understood this "backlash" against the Bee Gees where everybody apparently went from loving them to hating them....

I also love me some Bowie and Kraftwerk, but this song is damn catchy that I still love it! I actually got to see them on this tour in 1979 when I was a wee lad of 10 years old and it was the coolest thing I had ever seen at that time. After the pyro in the middle of the song, the crowd went nuts!

Bowie seems to be well regarded now in hindsight, and well regarded by his fellow musicians..good enough...I personally never "got" Bowie, to me he was just some weird-looking and weird-acting guy who really couldn't sing worth a crap, mostly croaked and groaned, struggled to carry a tune....

Is this auto tune? I can’t tell but it’s sooooo gooooood
    Edit: I found out it’s auto-tune
At 3:17, the lyrics and the music say “With no one beside you” his lips are moving and saying “With no one to love you”

Interesting, I had not heard this type of music, perhaps because it is not so common in my latitudes, but it is heard very well, I liked it. Laxmikant-Pyarelal with Mohammed Rafi (ua-cam.com/video/MFnLpuYz_T0/v-deo.html). It should be noted that it is excellent that this variety of genres exists, to expand our musical taste. Thank you for your contribution, Flash

Wow, this is the anthem of the losers. Don’t sing it over yourself.
So depressing. No solution in it, blah and whaaa!!!
    Everyone has a soul.
    No one is alone.
Jesus Christ has done all that he can.
He died on the cross and was buried, and on the third day he rose from the dead.
God is waiting for everyone’s response to the saviour Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten son.
No one alone, God is right next to you waiting for your response.
Repent, turn from sin, make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, you shall be saved.😃👍🙏👏❤️✝️
Jesus says you must be born again.
John 14;20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
You will be winging worse than this song if you end up in hell, weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Yes, and it was a "tragedy" that we lost the music of the Bee Gees in the 1980's because of some stupid "backlash"..I didn't really care about "disco" or not, didn't really think of the Bee Gees that way, just loved their music...why isn't there a "backlash" against the crap "music" we have now?..we could do SO much better, and a LOT of people realize it is crap...
