I think the problem here is that it’s a very small British home! All the rooms are very compact so it’s super hard to film especially in landscape for video.
THIS is the way house tours should be done! Fast-paced but enough time to digest the visual interest; plenty of fascinating background explanation but no excessive chatter. Great production values, great home.
I politely disagree with your opinion; she comes across as very robotic and lack of true character. She’s a brand consultant so, I should have respected that this was a tv infomercial rather than an inspirational video. I feel like this home is absolutely gorgeous and well designed. I just wish she would slow down even a little bit with her speech. The end of the video when she was in her son’s room, that’s where she let the camera in to her heart. Other than that, she rushed to name all of the brands and tried to do it in a marathon time.
@@fishercourt Understood. I have in mind certain US channels that are so slow and lugubrious that I fast forward through them. Here the pacing was just right for me.
I’m not a TV presenter or claim to be one! This isn’t a TV show. It’s a tour of my family home. I was asked to do this by HB and even though I was very very nervous, out of my comfort zone and a private person, I agreed as people have asked for a house tour in the past. No need to be mean.
What a great house tour - I loved seeing all the details, so fresh and vibrant. The whole house is gorgeous, but my favourite has to be the TV room - that mural! You've done an amazing job Melanie.
I absolutely love your ideas. I love that the foundation of your ideas is to stay true to the heritage of the house. You’ve given me so many great ideas. 😊
This was inspirational and I appreciate that Melanie did a lot of her decor herself. It looks professional and you would never know that some were hacks! Thank you
@@melanielissack4640 I loved it. You did a wonderful job. I'm retired from the design world and found it lovely and refreshing. So real, unlike the overdone others we see. A real home.
House looks fabulous but just a tour of her Knick knacks and where she bought everything. Would have much preferred an actual tour of the lovely home and decor. Seeing the entire room best we could rather that . “ bought this here, bought that there “
I wish she would just stop and take a moment to breathe and relax. She’s speaks so quickly that it’s really difficult to understand her words, and the name of ALL of the brands of her items in this infomercial. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore her home, it’s just so difficult to understand her fast-paced commercial branding that she does with out showing any emotion besides being in a hurry to make sure she names every single brand that is endorsed in this tv commercial. I would love at least if she could slow down her pace by even 25%. She acts as though she’s in a race to name every bit that is endorsed by the large amount of brands. It’s overwhelming and gives off a sense that she is a robot rather than a human. She could have spoken about her home and just added a list of vendors in the description box. That would be a better way to advertise these brands. If I were a brand owner that paid her to name drop an item, I would be very unhappy with her very robotic-way of speaking. It’s too obvious that it’s a commercial and not a home tour with conversation and feelings. I still love the home.
Hey! This is quite mean. I’m not a TV presenter. They just asked to film my home and I went out of my way to try and do my best to talk about it they way they wanted me to. I was not paid for this tour nor did any brands. Half the products I talk about I paid for out of my own money. People always ask me where something is from so I thought it was helpful. Glad you like the house but very cruel to read nasty comments like this.
@@melanielissack4640 I really enjoyed your video. I found the information of where you bought things and how you put it together really helpful. It's stunning and your colour sense is amazing. They'll always be someone who will complain!
It would be nice to actually see the room as a whole rather than close ups of things. I’m sure it’s really nicely done and I love colourful homes.

She has a really good Instagram house account, you will see more on there.

love the use of yellow, especially in the bathroom
Thank you that’s one of my favourite colours to use in my home at the moment!
This woman is a creative and color genius. So well presented. And thank you for sharing, unabashedly, about your son.
Oh wow thank you for being so nice
Fabulous loved all your colours, and especially loved your son’s room. Very innovative use of furniture hacks!
The ikea kitchen cabinet with faux marble wrapped MDF is a real surprise: looks authentic!
