Awesome! My husband brought our family there for the first time this past summer. Super cool to learn some additional history! We appreciate what you guys do on this channel! So glad we found you! ❤️ from Beckley, WV
Wow, I'd love to visit this property! Like so much of New England , it looks like the area was so much more open than it is now but of course they would've had to clear the land for lumber. It sure revealed the beautiful rolling hills. I can see why people flocked to it.
I would love America 🇺🇸 to identify these wonderful landmarks across our nation, and for a program , similar to FDR’s WPA ( work programs for America) to restore , and supplement the privately held places , so future generations could enjoy the eras of our nation.
Been by it a million times, never pulled over to get a good look though, as kids going camping on our way up 219 to Lake Moncove we imagined it was haunted and old Civil War soldiers were looking out the windows so as a kid I’d cover my head to keep from seeing them peering out the windows at us as we drove by. It is truly beautiful to drive by. We were told it had been used as a Confederate hospital during the Civl War, maybe that was just made up to ad a little shine to my uncles story.
Why is the state allowing these buildings to deteriorate to the point of falling down? Why aren't they restored and used as museums? In Europe people still visit spas. Some are privately iwned and have resort hotels that use the medicinal water for various treatments. Other spas are owned by the health services of the countries they are located in and they offer complementary medicine treatments.
My dear friend Betty Jack lived here for many years. I've visited and spent the night here on several occasions she loved this place. RIP my friend❤

What a lovely resort. How beautiful both the Presidential Suite and the ballroom are. What I wouldn't give to have some of those furnishings!
Lol lived in the area. Lewisburg is where my son was born in 1990. Lived in Pocahontas county -buckeye and other towns. Loved it
