It was soooo useful! I draw my webtoons in Clip Studio Paint since 2017 - and I never used some of its features! The information about exporting files just blowed my mind! I also work on a large canvas and your information is a huge help for me! Really happy that I found your video!😆👍✨ thank you!
Around 1:32 your text and balloon layer setup looks different than the others and I can’t figure out what to do to get mine to look like that 😭 with the checkerboard and the A with the block next to it
Hi so I have a quick question, how come I can’t edit my series profile Image? There is the vertical thumbnail but when I enter a picture it just shows a solid color. I’m trying to fix this but it won’t change for some reason. Anyone know what could be the problem?
Hello, I would like to know who would like to help me draw a webtoon, obviously the collaborations would be put up and it would be monetized. What I want is to share my stories, please help me 😭
Is it possible to do a tutorial about how to incorporate the clipstudioassets objects in the drawing? I downloaded a phone object from the assets store but I am not sure whether I should draw the body sketch first or add the phone first. Btw I came back to say I love your art and hope to make my own webtoon in the future.
7:05 The vector layer is very useful for lineart. The only thing I think is a problem is that you can’t fill the vector layer with color. So, it’s not that great for doing flats and coloring.
Hello, I have a question! I'm thinking of buying Clip studio Paint Pro, before I buy Ex. For the Webtoon section, am I able to use a Number of Pages or is that only available in EX?
Thank u soo much❤❤😊.... for explaining vector layer can you please make a separate video about how to make 3d background and how to use it because I am soo confused about background model for making webtoon
i found you on webtoon!! ive also wanted to draw comics and seeing you post stuff about it gives me some hope that i can do it!!! may you evade artblock for eternity.
I'm so confused. What is Quill webtoon? it isn't in the templates. Did you make it by yourself? I have never used Clip Studio Paint before. 😔Maybe this tutorial is just over my head. I'm trying to find a way to upload photos i have already made in jpg and add voice over templates. 😑😑😑 I'm a master at Canva. But i want more templates and the printing ablilties. I have just been doing everything by hand on Canva. Should I just cave and take an art class? Because you were so fast when you went over the materials, it felt like it was made for people that have used Clip Studio Paint before.
I did mention in the video that I made the template from scratch. Quill is just my name so I named the template that. Plus, I don't think Canva and clip studio paint is similar at all, especially its features because clip studio is more for drawing illustrations and comic making. Admittedly, it took me months to get used to the Clip studio program because it has so many tools and features so I recommend you watch beginner clip studio paint tutorials. Btw to add images, you can go to File -- Import. I'm not too sure about audio though.
@@obliviousquill thank you. It helps to know I’m not alone in the struggle of learning Clip Studio. I did find out how to add pictures. I’m still confused on how to add multiple templates to one project tho. So you can have different types of template pages for storyboards. Or I guess people just draw them manually. Canva is easier and faster in my opinion but you need the measurements. So I HAVE to learn clip studio to print and upload. Lol 😂 but thank you for getting back to me. I’ll just keep at it then. 👏👏👏 Apparently, it takes time and patience. 💫✨
A question how do you do backgrounds , like for a particular place with different angles . Do you draw it yourself from scratch or are their any background apps
I earn a bit from webtoon and patreon. If you want to support me reading and sharing my webtoon is enough. Though if you want to support financially you can give me a tip through kofi or become my Patron :)
You can't liquify your lineart using a vector layer. So If you want to change the proportions of your drawing, you have to either transform it or individually select each line.
@obliviousquill oh. Doesn't seem so bad at all. I've seen the vector transform stuff and it seems pretty great honestly. Guess I'll be using vector layers instead of ignoring them.
About the coloring process, I was wondering how ppl add the patterns, jewelry, etc all the fancy things I can see in a webcomic on the clothes and other stuffs. Even the lace in the end of the dresses, the golden stuff, everything that makes a clothes so authentic ! I know there are brushes but I never find the good ones and even if I do, I tried but it never looked good 🫣😵💫 so I am still here orbiting, looking for someone to explain to me, please help 🎪
@@obliviousquill oh thank you !! And ofc, don’t push yourself, it’s already very kind of you ! While we’re at it, may I also ask for the “filter” or final touches ppl add to really merge it into the webcomic vibes, If you know what I mean ? I was always trying but never felt right haha
Wow your explaination it's so clear and simple! I'm glad you made this video it helps me a lot!
Happy it helped!
Do you have a webtoon?
@@Cherrycrush1437 No, but I plan to make one soon 👀
Nobody asked you tho-@@miran1382

Also your webtoon looks so good, gonna give it a read! :D
Thanks for this! (Wish i had clip studio, the stuff is so useful wow!) I didn’t know you have UA-cam, subscribed

Dude… I’ve been making all of my panels individually one file at a time like a MORON… thank you so much
i wonder where to activate the page settings? bcs in the beginning theres no page settings
Sadly it's only available in the EX version of CSP
this was very helpful, Ty so much!
is having multiple pages an EX feature? i cant seem to get more than 1
yeah it's only an EX version sadly
@@obliviousquill OK ty
This is so great! I can't wait to get home to try this!🌸

Hey, the multiple page feature is only for EX version sadly. With the Pro, you'll have to do one separate page file at a time.
@@obliviousquill okay thank you
How do get the story feature? I can't find it on my desktop version of clip studio pro
I think this is only an EX feature, so the Pro doesn't have it. CSP pro on my iPad also doesn't have it

What ver. Of Clip Studio did you use?
Is it the PRO or the EX??
I use the EX version. It has the webtoon features
you are the best!
A question how do you do backgrounds , like for a particular place with different angles . Do you draw it yourself from scratch or are their any background apps
Most of the time I don't draw backgrounds from scratch. I use 3D models and sketchup
you work so hard but do you earn enough from this? ways to support you?
I earn a bit from webtoon and patreon. If you want to support me reading and sharing my webtoon is enough. Though if you want to support financially you can give me a tip through kofi or become my Patron :)
Can i use an ipad ? Its the only advice i have 😭
Yes you can. As long as you have the clip studio paint ex program, you can still use all the features
@@obliviousquill thanxxx i will download it!
@@Stillwiityou it's a paid app so I do recommend you waiting to buy it when it has a sale. It usually goes for 50% off
@@obliviousquill oh is that soo? I was planning to buy procreate also so am saving for two 🥲! Also do u know a good app with 3d models and background?
@@Stillwiityou clip studio paint actually has 3d models built in the program and you can download more on the clip studio asset store
A tutorial so useful like this should be in the official page. Thank you! :D
That is so sweet, thank you ❤
Wooow soo cool😊
Nice
i dont have the pages setting on webtoon how do i get it?
It's only available on the EX version of CSP. The pro only allows you to make single pages, sadly
Would it be a good idea to write out the story and plot first? Or do you just go with the flow? Just curious xD
You should definitely have a story and characters first. You don't have to 100% stick to it, but it helps with the flow of the story
@@obliviousquill makes sense, I have characters and somewhat of a story but I need to some more practice at drawing them consistently xD
Are there any downsides to using vector instead of raster layer?
You can't liquify your lineart using a vector layer. So If you want to change the proportions of your drawing, you have to either transform it or individually select each line.
@obliviousquill oh. Doesn't seem so bad at all. I've seen the vector transform stuff and it seems pretty great honestly. Guess I'll be using vector layers instead of ignoring them.
