You said greatest cat fisherman and for some reason all I could think about was Toad…I was reading an article awhile back about him asking for the valve they took out of his heart and as soon as he got healthy enough to fish he went and caught a catfish on it…lololol now that is a heck of a cat man if you ask me and goes to show you cats truly will eat just about anything 😂😂. Or, as I call 'em: "Whiskered Walleye!"
It is effective for both. Slower speeds tend to get more cats though. You live in big walleye country for sure.

Catfish Dave is King of the Tennessee river. Kayak Catfish (Justin) is another great.
Great anglers for sure. I guess if we're getting technical on the kings of the river, the best anglers I know that catch the biggest fish usually don't share them online or video.

Thank you for consistently dropping new videos. Your content has helped my hook up ratio tenfold. Im just a little confused on this one, maybe you can clarify. Micka said he was running triple threats, but why was he setting the hook whereas you dont? Is it because he was running mono main line?
You nailed it. He was using mono, and it stretches. I use braid and it doesn't. It's mainly a personal preference thing. I like how violent the takedowns are when you're fishing braid, but if you set the rod, you'll often yank it out of their mouth with braid. Glad you enjoy the videos man.

Total abdominal wall reconstruction, thought I was done for night of November 9th last I remember until week ago, come home finally first time since 11/9/2023.
Total on life support nearly whole time in hospital tubes everywhere..

Now gotta learn to walk and get around without using stomach muscles for next 4 to 6 months so everything heals up.
Gonna be hard considering 50 lb bag of feed is small as they sell for my cows.

Do you have to drift in the winter or can you anchor up and still catch em?
Depends on the water temp and weather more than anything. When it's cold, I usually anchor.
