Nice, brewed a black IPA yesterday and this would have helped. Great stream!

At 28:55 "where does it go from a west coast IPA to a hazy?" - isn't a clear beer kind of an important feature of a WCIPA? Not really "brewers choice" imho.

I did a phantasm IPA with cosmic punch mash hopped with cascade, and in whirlpool still waiting for it to carbonate so far has good taste but still think regular IPA is better. It does have some tropical flavors. I think it has too much phantasm.

This dude said high end of dumping a batch is 40 dollars lol 😂. I literally just brewed a hazy ipa that was $130 from water to grain to hops to yeast. Drinking $4.57 per 12 ounce pour lol 😂

Do you buy your hops by the pound? That sounds like a lot, but then again, I refrain from big dry hop additions.

@@SchmegmaOnToast I buy by the pound. The batch I am talking about used Yakima valley incognito. The entire 20G jar of Citra and mosaic. Phantasm powder, 4 ounces of cascade in the mash, 2 ounces of saaz in the mash. 1 ounce Amarillo cryo hops for whirlpool. 2 ounces Citra cryo hops, 2 ounces mosaic cryo hops, 1 ounces Amarillo cryo hops for dry hopping. All in $130.

Dry hopping a thiolized yeast beer that much is stripping character. That's a boatload of mash hops way more than needed especially with phantasm. This recipe sounds like throwing money away I'll bet it was tasty though

@@alannewmeyer8670 not at all. This was about pushing the thiols as high as possible knowing that the dry hopping would strip some of it. Also the reason to use cryo hops. It came out honestly amazing and was the fastest 5 gallons drank yet lol 😂 looking to do it again using spectrum for the dry hopping instead now.,
