True, but some people with IEEE, ACM, ASME conference papers do get postdocs as these conferences also review the final paper and these papers have a high chance of getting into journals.
Because the gatekeepers are very sensitive to the quality of the paper to be published in a good journal. Not only this, the journey time also matters!
@@fishbefikadu7361 true, in sciences a journal paper is a must. But remember there are industry postdocs and many countries around the world and not everyone can get the dream postdoc candidate they want.
Sir, is there any fellowship programme for fresh PhD plant science students for post doc in usa and UK? Also, is there any programme which having short processing time for post doc particulary in uk and USA as Marie curie and fulbright fellowship are taking more than a year for processing?

Dear Sir, Thank you again for all your helpful videos regarding postdoc positions. Sir, I recently submitted my Thesis in computational biology from IIT Kharagpur and out of my 3 published articles I have a published first author transaction journal, and one first author conference, other one NPJ nature publishing journal with a 2nd authorship. Remaining 2 works are in review. Sir, how good am I as an applicant for a postdoc position in compbio? As my publications are less, what do you suggest regarding the places for applying for postdoc sir ?
I think your publication record is good. But of course the numbers and quality will be based on the expectations in the research field. You can apply for the foundation postdocs and also look for postdoc jobs. See these videos Boost your Career with the NIH postdoctoral fellowship! ua-cam.com/video/JdsZP6EOqY4/v-deo.html
Sir, I completed my Ph. D in chemistry with very few papers, which have low impact factor. How I get a post doc position in European countries. Which country has more possibility.
Go for countries with less competition . Eastern Europe is one example like Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Hungary, Czech Republic etc. China and Russia also have less competition
Yes if there is a skill match between job and candidate. But some research evidence should be there during the gap period. Otherwise teaching job is feasible
Sir, without the experience of publishing a paper to the journal, getting a postdoc is very difficult as far as the journey is concerned!
