- Ryen Russillo joins Colin Cowherd on The Herd to talk about some big headlines coming out of the sports world today. They touch on Ja Morant, who's team is now coming out with a story that the gun seen during the Memphis Grizzlies player's IG Live was actually a toy. Colin makes the point that this is actually worse, and Russillo speculates on what the punishment might be for Ja. Plus, Frank Vogel makes his Phoenix Suns debut, but Russillo makes the case that Vogel should never have been fired from the Los Angeles Lakers, and explains why the job of head coach in the NBA is a hard one to keep. Plus, the two discuss their predictions for Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat.

FUN FACT: If you rob a bank and it is later discovered the gun you used was a toy...you STILL get charged for brandishing a deadly weapon and for armed robbery. The ONLY detail that matters is that those you robbed BELIEVED the gun was real. Ja Morant is a mo--ron of epic proportions for this lame, juvenile excuse. BTW, ask Tamir Rice what terrible consequences waving a toy gun can bring you. If anything,the "toy" defense only shows Ja views this as a game. It is akin to flipping off the judge hearing your court case. Good luck with that, Ja!...One last thing: What if Ja had gotten stopped that night and cops seen this "toy" gun and felt threatened? If he got shot and killed by cops, you'd cry racism. Even though his own stupidity got him killed--which is the case in over 90% of these cop shoot cases.

I'm so happy with Ryen's take. You got analysts like Joy and Nick Wright keep trying to say that the heat are being disrespected and what they doing should be expected. I'm not sure if Pat Riley gets all the credit that he truly deserves. One of the greatest coaches ever. One of the greatest executives ever. Then Riley took an ex video coach and turned him into Eric Spoelstra, who for some reason I feel is the only coach that "got" what Riley was teaching. Did it with Super, duper stars (The Big 3) now doing it with one real Super star, a couple stars, an aging star. I can't wait until they do a big time documentary on Pat Riley although the "ending" is still going on. There are probably many things that we still don't know about Pat Riley.
