Terrace building

A description and view of some of the terraces built in Al Baydha by local bedou. Terraces, in addition to swales and gabions, are some of the earthworks used in the Al Baydha Project to slow down water flow in the mountains, as part of a strategy to control flash floods, prevent erosion in the mountains, store water in the earth, and reforest the landscape.

hahaha it worked! A little noisy interpersonal communication compared to what I'm used to but that's their thing and it worked .... IT WORKED! :D
Green patches between some stones ... no, a lot of stones ... no, a HUMONGOUS amount of stone they had to move.
Is there an update since this video was uploaded in 2011?

Good on them for creating this. They look good, as does their work. They need to start higher for best utilization of water. Now where are the follow ups of green growth?
