Just wondering how your academy snake boots held up. I purchased some and they did not make a full year archery hunting at our South Georgia farm. The glued sole at the heal an the bottom heal edges failed. They were very comfortable but they were as you said heavy I found Lacrosse alpha agility snake proof for $119 and free shipping and pulled the trigger. We shall see how they hold up. I have used Rocky cordura waterproof (not) snake boots for twenty plus years, but I wanted a more scent retentive and waterproof boot.
You are correct. I bought these by mistake online and when they came in I immediately realized that they were not. There is another version though. Thanks.
That’s a good question. I assume not because of the softer material. I think the thought is that most snakes strike from the front as you walk up on them.
I have a regular pair of Lacrosse boots like yours but are the uppers of the Meagelon boots waterproof and snake proof.

*KEVLAR/NOMEX SOCKS , TWO ON EACH FOOT , offer a surprising level of puncture and heat protection.*
I use stove pipes for chaps, lol
They make a snake proof version of the Alpha Agility.

Jw but do you know if it's protection all the way around? Even the back where the hard doesn't cover it?

Not when you step over a log and they strike the back of your leg
Guess we need a rocket scientist to come to the USA to teach us how to make a snake proof boots in the US.
